Above Pirate King - Chapter 104
New World
Whole Cake Island
Inside the castle, Charlotte Linlin lay on her side, one hand supporting her head, and the other constantly picking up pieces of delicious cake placed beside her, then directly plunging them into her abyss-like mouth.
Before long, a pile of cakes as high as a small mountain disappeared into Linlin’s mouth.
“Boom! Boom! Cake, I want cake!!!” Seeing that the cakes were gone, Linlin became restless, pounding the floor and emitting a sharp sound from her mouth.
“Tap, tap, tap!”
Immediately, several people hurriedly walked in, carrying plates of cakes, and carefully placed them next to Linlin, afraid that she would get hungry!
In no time, another cake mountain formed by Linlin’s side.
She finally quieted down and started eating the cakes.
“Tap, tap, tap!”
At this moment, Katakuri walked in, came to Linlin’s side, and respectfully said, “Mama!”
“How did the investigation go?” Linlin asked while eating the cake.
“Mama, we have found out everything!” Katakuri paused and continued, “According to the information we gathered from underground merchants and various channels, we found that the giants of the Kingdom of St. Martin are not normal giants!”
“Oh!?” Katakuri’s words immediately piqued Linlin’s curiosity. She even slowed down her cake-eating motion, staring at Katakuri, wanting to hear his explanation.
“It’s like this, through a series of intelligence discoveries, we found that whenever the giants of the Kingdom of St. Martin appear on the battlefield, they suddenly appear without any signs. And after the battle, they also disappear suddenly without a trace!”
“In addition, the investigation revealed that the origins of these two giants have not been found, not even a trace. It’s as if they were born in the Kingdom of St. Martin!”
“Therefore, after analysis, it is highly possible that these two giants are products created by the Kingdom of St. Martin using some kind of ability or technology!” Katakuri analyzed in detail.
“Then go and make them hand over their technology or abilities. If they refuse, annihilate the country directly!” Linlin licked her lips, revealing a ferocious smile and said fiercely.
She had coveted the giants for a long time, always wanting to make peace with the giant race and gain their assistance. But the giant race never gave her that opportunity. Now that there’s finally a chance to acquire giants through another channel, she naturally wanted to seize it.
“Well…” Katakuri showed a troubled expression.
“What’s wrong? Can’t you handle a small kingdom from the West Blue?” Linlin frowned unhappily.
“Mama, if it were an ordinary kingdom, I could easily handle it, but this kingdom is not an ordinary one. They…” Katakuri explained in detail about all the achievements of the Kingdom of St. Martin.
It was evident that the Charlotte family’s intelligence network was very powerful. Katakuri had thoroughly investigated all the records of the Kingdom of St. Martin since they emerged from St. Martin Island.
The Charlotte family’s intelligence network, known as the best in the industry, was showing its formidable presence.
“So, unless Mama personally takes action or the Charlotte family launches a large-scale attack, we can’t deal with them!” Katakuri summarized after speaking.
Linlin continued to eat her cake while pondering. After a while, she spoke slowly, “Then let’s propose a marriage alliance. Tell them that as long as they’re willing to surrender their abilities or technology, the Charlotte family will form an alliance with them!”
Marriage alliances were a common tactic used by the Charlotte family to consolidate their power and status by forming alliances with different forces in the world. The objects of their alliances were always powerful or influential individuals or groups who could provide assistance.
Based on the information Katakuri had obtained, St. Martin Kingdom was undoubtedly an excellent candidate. They had both significant power and influence. If Linlin could obtain what she desired through a marriage alliance, it would be even better.
“Yes, Mama!” Katakuri nodded, having already anticipated this.
To be honest, it wasn’t realistic to expect Linlin to take action personally. The power dynamics in the New World were intensifying, and the most prominent players were undoubtedly the Big Mom Pirates, the Beasts Pirates, and the Whitebeard Pirates, the three major pirate crews.
Consequently, these three pirate crews were constantly targeted by other pirates. If Big Mom Pirates’ Linlin were to leave the New World, those pirates would swarm like flies smelling blood, and without her, her crew would find it challenging to handle such situations.
Unfortunately, the Big Mom Pirates were not yet one of the Four Emperors, and even their children were relatively young. The eldest, Charlotte Perospero, was only twenty-nine years old and held the power level of Rear Admiral. While this level of power was considered top-notch in the first half of the Grand Line, it was merely above average in the New World.
The New World was filled with incredibly strong individuals, and without Linlin, they wouldn’t stand a chance. Launching a large-scale attack by the Charlotte family was also not a viable option. If a large group of pirates entered the first half of the Grand Line, the Marines would certainly not sit idly by. Who knew what kind of trouble such a large-scale pirate presence would cause?
Unless they took the route through the Calm Belt, which happened to be located in the latter half of the Grand Line, they could directly reach the West Blue. However, crossing the Calm Belt wasn’t easy, as the massive Sea Kings inside were formidable opponents. Crossing the Calm Belt would require paying a significant price.
Therefore, a marriage alliance, as suggested by Linlin, was the best option. If successful, it would not only provide them with technology or abilities but also gain the assistance of St. Martin Kingdom.
If the marriage alliance failed, they would have to wait for the power shift in the New World to stabilize before finding another solution.
“So, Mama, which one should we propose for the alliance?” Katakuri asked with a frown.
“How many are currently available for a marriage alliance?” Linlin asked in a deep voice.
Linlin had given birth to too many children, and to date, she had nearly sixty of them. Consequently, she didn’t know much about most of her children, except for the more powerful ones who caught her attention.
“We currently have twenty-seven eligible females in the family. After excluding those who are unsuitable due to age, race, or appearance, we have about seven remaining,” Katakuri paused before continuing, “They are Custard, Angel, Broye, Mozart, Marnier, Smoothie, and Cinnamon! Among them, the oldest is Custard, twenty-four years old, and the youngest are Smoothie and Cinnamon, who are fourteen years old!”
These seven had been carefully selected by Katakuri. They possessed appearances that were appealing to ordinary humans, and their status within the family was relatively average.
Additionally, Smoothie, one of the future Sweet Commanders, was currently only fourteen years old. Although she had already shown some potential, it was still insufficient. After all, she was only fourteen years old, and no matter how strong she was, there were limits. Therefore, she was also included in the list.
“Alright, these are the seven. When the time comes, let the other party choose one if they’re willing!” Linlin paused, her expression turning fierce as she spoke in a sharp tone, “If they’re unwilling, then we’ll annihilate their country once the New World stabilizes!”
“Yes, Mama!” Katakuri nodded and then turned to leave.
After Katakuri left, the only sound remaining in the castle was Linlin eating her cake.
