Above Pirate King - Chapter 90
Skypiea
Birka was a pure Skypiea, unlike Angel Island, with no nearby land.
The population consisted entirely of Skypieaers, and unlike Angel Island, which often had visitors from Blue Sea, Birka rarely saw people from Blue Sea, so the locals here were somewhat exclusive.
On this day, in the distant sea of clouds, a small sailboat was slowly approaching the dock of Birka.
The sailboat wasn’t large, just over ten meters long and three meters wide.
There were only two people on board, Aiolia and Truman.
They had been making stops along the way, playing around and experiencing the peculiar scenery of the Skypiea, taking over a month to reach Birka.
“Cough, cough!”
Truman’s face turned pale as he coughed continuously, his hand pressed against his chest.
After a while, he finally eased up.
“Brother Aiolia, is that Birka up ahead?” Truman asked with a smile.
“It should be!” Aiolia took out a nautical chart and carefully examined it before nodding.
The nautical chart was given to them by Gan Fall, depicting the Skypieas around Angel Island and the route to Birka.
In no time, the small sailboat sailed into the harbor.
As soon as they disembarked, a burly Skypieaer wearing a blue and white uniform, carrying a sword and a cut shell, stepped forward and blocked their path.
“Halt! Who are you?” The burly man’s face showed a fierce look as he asked sternly.
“Greetings, brother! We are people from Blue Sea, coming from the God’s territory. We have proof from the the God himself!” Aiolia smiled and took out a certificate from his pocket, handing it to the burly man.
When coming to Birka, it was necessary to be prepared. Gan Fall had some reputation in the nearby Skypieas, so the certificate he provided still held some weight!
The burly man took the certificate directly and looked at it. Then he looked the two up and down before finally nodding. He returned the certificate to Aiolia and cleared the way.
Apart from Gan Fall’s certificate, he personally didn’t think these two boys would do anything dangerous, especially with Truman looking so pale, clearly showing signs of illness!
“Thank you, sir!” Aiolia said with a smile.
“Hmph, you better not commit any crimes in Birka, or I won’t let you off!” The burly man snorted and issued a cold warning.
“Yes, we understand!” Aiolia nodded.
Aiolia and Truman entered Birka in this way.
Birka was much larger than Angel Island and had a significantly larger population, with people bustling on the streets.
However, Aiolia and Truman’s arrival still drew the attention of everyone on the street.
There was no escaping the fact that they were all Skypieaers, and two Blue Sea people without wings stood out immediately.
“Look, those two don’t have wings!”
“They’re just like that hybrid, no wings!”
“That’s right, they look so strange!”
…
A group of Skypieaers looked at Aiolia and Truman, whispering among themselves.
However, at this moment, someone with a bit of knowledge chimed in.
“What do you know? Those are Blue Sea people! Blue Sea people naturally look like that!”
“Oh, they’re Blue Sea people, I see!”
“I told you, why do they look so strange!”
“So Blue Sea people look the same as that hybrid!”
…
Although the murmurs of the Skypieaers were low, Aiolia could still hear them clearly.
“Hybrid!?” Aiolia furrowed his brows slightly, thinking, “Could this be the person His Majesty is looking for?”
However, Aiolia remained calm on the surface and took Truman for a stroll around Birka, getting to know the local customs, the number of people, and the military presence.
It had to be said that every Skypiea had its own unique characteristics.
Even Truman, who had strolled the streets of Angel Island, happily explored Birka, buying various things.
The currency used in Birka was the Skypiea currency, Extol, as Berry couldn’t be used here since not many people from Blue Sea came to this place.
Fortunately, Aiolia and Truman had exchanged a considerable amount of Extol from Angel Island.
“Brother Aiolia, look, I haven’t bought this on Angel Island!”
” Brother Aiolia, this fruit is delicious!”
” Brother Aiolia, come try this!”
Truman chattered excitedly while Aiolia looked around absentmindedly, as if calculating something.
Seeing this scene, Truman sighed inwardly. He understood what Aiolia was up to!
Aiolia had already done the same thing on Angel Island!
However, Truman didn’t say anything. Now he felt the weakness in his body, knowing that his life was coming to an end. He didn’t have the mood to deal with these things anymore.
Suppressing the thoughts in his mind, they continued their stroll.
Until evening.
At this time, they discovered an embarrassing situation.
There were no hotels on the island!
Birka was populated entirely by local Skypieaers, with few outsiders visiting. There were all sorts of shops, but no hotels.
Helplessly, the two of them had to stay on the boat.
Over the next few days, they explored the entirety of Birka.
Truman had a great time playing around.
Aiolia also gathered the information he wanted to know.
On this day, according to the information, Aiolia brought Truman to the outskirts of Birka, within the Sea of Cloud’s Forest.
As soon as they arrived, they heard a commotion.
“Hybrid, take this punch!”
“Haha, hybrid, take this kick!”
“Beat this waste to death!”
…
Five Skypiea teenagers, around twelve or thirteen years old, were surrounding another boy of the same age. The boy was shirtless, with no wings on his back, and his ears drooped heavily. The teenagers were punching and kicking him!
A ferocious smile appeared on their faces as they beat him, swearing and cursing.
The boy being attacked held his head and curled up on the ground, covered in injuries. He let them beat him without whimpering or screaming, just gritting his teeth, glaring with defiant eyes at the people attacking him.
“Stop!” Seeing this, Truman hurried forward to stop them.
Upon hearing this, the five teenagers stopped their hands and turned to look at Aiolia and Truman.
“Oh, who do we have here? Turns out it’s the two Blue Sea people from the past few days! I advise you not to meddle, or we’ll beat you too!” One of the burly teenagers looked at them, raised his fist, and sneered threateningly.
These teenagers weren’t afraid of the two of them, mainly because Aiolia and Truman didn’t seem much older than them, and Truman had a pale and weak appearance.
“That’s right, get lost, you two wingless hybrids, or we’ll beat you to death!”
“Get lost!”
“Wanna get beaten?”
…
The five teenagers arrogantly taunted Aiolia and Truman, their faces full of arrogance.
But Aiolia ignored them.
Instead, he looked at the boy on the ground, his eyes showing a hint of reminiscence.
Back then, he was also a beggar orphan who was bullied by others. If he hadn’t been lucky enough to encounter Arthur’s reign, he might still be like this boy on the ground, enduring bullying!
The boy on the ground, just like his past self, unwilling to be humiliated but powerless to resist, could only stare at his tormentors with stubborn eyes.
Of course, this kind of gaze often only invited more severe beatings!
The five teenagers, seeing that the two of them didn’t react, raised their fists and were about to approach.
“Hehe!” Aiolia chuckled lightly and extended his fist.
“Boom!”
A violent gust of wind swept past the teenagers, blowing away the trees behind them, creating a hundred meters of open space.
“Gulp!”
The clothes of the five teenagers flapped in the wind, but they stood stiff in their original spots, eyes widened, mouths opening and closing as they swallowed saliva, their faces full of disbelief.
“Get lost!” Truman said coldly.
The five teenagers nodded stiffly, and then their bodies trembled as they snapped out of their daze. Like receiving a pardon, they scrambled away, crawling and rolling to leave.
