At that moment, Rock Lee stood proudly, his left hand like a blade across his chest and his right hand behind his back, but his eyes were completely lifeless as he fought to unconsciousness.

Tsunade and Jiraiya, one in front and one behind, instantly appeared. One grabbed the hand with the sword, and the other embraced him from behind, stopping Orochimaru’s attack.
Orochimaru’s brow raised, his tone cold yet with an undertone of warmth incomprehensible to outsiders: “He deserves a hero’s end.”
In his eyes, his teacher could die on the battlefield, but not as a prisoner captured after surrendering, spending his final days in a cell.
Hearing this, Tsunade sighed, “He shouldn’t die by your hand.”
“He is, after all, our teacher!” Jiraiya’s thoughts were much simpler.
With both companions intervening, Orochimaru did not insist, merely chuckling softly, “As you wish.”
