Be the Main God from Naruto - Chapter 56
As Orochimaru was thinking about Naruto Uzumaki, the person himself was brought before him—was it coincidence or fate?
Neither.
“Hey! Arrogant Sasuke, let go! You haven’t yet told me why you dragged me out here!”
Naruto started making a fuss.
Beside him, Sasuke swept back his bangs, his dark eyes shimmering with a hint of light, and a smile playing on his lips: “It’s fate’s arrangement. I felt bringing you here today would lead to something good.”
Sasuke’s mystical demeanour sent shivers down Naruto’s spine.
Naruto finally noticed the Director of the Science Department, who had been watching him for a while.
“O-O-Orochimaru!”
Feeling uneasy under the stare, he quickly hid behind Sasuke, betraying his teammate without hesitation: “Aren’t you interested in Sasuke’s body? He’s right here. Stop looking at me!”
“Interesting.”
Orochimaru chuckled with a hint of wicked amusement, “Sharingan is indeed worth studying, but right now, I require an assistant, and you’re a good candidate.”
“I can’t do it! Just looking at those books gives me a headache!”
Naruto spoke the truth.
Memorising books was harder for him than practising Wind Style: Rasengan.
Being the assistant to a mad scientist, especially Orochimaru, was not an appealing thought.
“I’ll discuss the terms with Sasuke. Just wait for the outcome. After all, it’s fate’s arrangement, isn’t it?”
Orochimaru smirked, causing Naruto to get goosebumps, and he quickly quieted down.
“Mutual benefit, how about that?” Sasuke spoke calmly, unfazed.
“Agreeable, state your conditions.”
Sasuke pondered momentarily and raised two fingers: “My blood and Naruto’s labour in exchange for our strength enhancement.”
Orochimaru gave him a look, evasive: “You need to be more specific, like time limits and percentage of strength increase.”
At this point, Naruto finally caught on to what Sasuke was proposing.
He blurted out: “Before the Chunin Exams! At least double our strength!”
Sasuke looked like he wanted to die.
Fate maybe with him, but not against a teammate’s blunder.
Watching Sasuke’s expression, Orochimaru laughed heartily, a scene reminding him of the time he, along with Jiraiya, persuaded Tsunade to become a reclaimer.
Shaking his head, Orochimaru briskly headed towards the Science Department: “Follow me.”
“So, you can do it?” Naruto was still somewhat dazed, not fully grasping what had transpired.
As they walked, Orochimaru explained: “I’ve referred to a ‘Super Soldier Gene Enhancement Project’ from another plane and made significant progress recently. Beyond an improved curse mark, I’ve incorporated elements of the Eight Branches Serpent’s serum and some of Kimimaro’s genetic fragments. Just adjust your DNA, and we can proceed with direct enhancement.”
Sasuke couldn’t help but object: “I know about the Eight Branches Technique and the curse mark, but Kimimaro…”
Although Kimimaro had high prestige and nearly killed Gaara in the prophetic book, he didn’t have notable achievements compared with the curse mark or the serpent techniques, which seemed low-end.
Orochimaru turned his neck 180 degrees, his tone chilling: “Do not underestimate Kimimaro. Based on my recent genetic analysis, his lineage is closely related to the legendary Sage of Six Paths, Hagoromo ?tsutsuki.”
“I theorise that the Uchiha clan inherited the Sage’s eyes, the Uzumaki his blood, and the Kaguya his bones.”
“From a certain perspective, you two and Kimimaro are distant blood relatives, complementing each other’s lineage with strong compatibility.”
Neither Sasuke nor Naruto, who had read the manga, had come across such information and found Orochimaru’s theory quite plausible.
“After all this talk, how much can you enhance us?” Naruto, feeling intellectually crushed, grumbled discontentedly.
Orochimaru didn’t get angry but simply stated: “It can accelerate your growth rate by about 5 to 9 times, depending on how your bodies react and the training methods you employ.”
“That’s enough!”
Sasuke’s eyes gleamed.
In his view, there were only two culprits behind the Uchiha clan massacre—Itachi and Danzo.
“Itachi, that traitor, betrayed his origins and class and even had his Sharingan taken by his master, a pathetic tale.”
Following Orochimaru, Sasuke
‘s mind was alive with thoughts.
He harshly judged Itachi: “That traitor jumped into the Naka River and died, becoming food for fish and shrimp, vanished without a trace. I won’t waste my energy thinking about him anymore.”
“But Danzo is still alive!”
Sasuke’s eyes blazed with the flames of vengeance.
He was already fantasising about his moment of retribution.
…
As the “Strongest Chunin Exam in History” approached, the streets of Konoha became increasingly crowded.
Ningci made his way through the bustling crowd towards the publishing house, gripping the manuscript of Hinata’s second book tightly.
“At such a time, with the mixed crowd, I can’t let my sister expose herself. What if she gets kidnapped?”
Overflowing with protective brotherly instincts, Ningci, once a prodigious talent, had degenerated into a mere errand-runner.
Thump!
Lost in thoughts of his sister’s endearing smile, Ningci accidentally bumped into a red-haired young man.
“Sorry!” He quickly apologised.
“It’s okay.”
The other was understanding and didn’t dwell on the small incident.
“Ah? I feel like I’ve seen that person somewhere before.”
Ningci turned and took a few steps, suddenly feeling a vague sense of familiarity.
“I remember now! I think I’ve seen that face in Hinata’s manuscript! The name was… I love to?”
This thought grew wildly before Ningci could gather his senses, and he had already flipped open the second volume of his sister’s manga.
He had read the first volume, A Story of Lilies, which was beautifully drawn, enjoyable, and had well-developed characters and emotions, making it hard not to continue reading.
“Volume Two: Feminization.”
“An unknown great being descends upon the ninja world, transforming all male ninjas into females.”
“Hinata Neji, I love ro, Naruto Namiko, Uchiha Sazuki…”
Ningci choked on his words, unable to spit them out or swallow them down.
So, in Hinata’s eyes, he wasn’t a brother but a sister?
Changing a phoneme and deleting a character, he still recognised that face!
And why was he paired with that character named “white”?
As Ningci was filled with grievances, a plot against the new Konoha was brewing…
