A white light emanated, and the power of the Zanpakuto returned to Satotani’s body.
Just as he was about to help Yanagawagi deal with Shuukou, a familiar voice sounded in his ears once again.
“Hado #4: Byakurai!”
He turned around to see Tokikaze standing in place with his right hand raised. A bright white flash of light with a crackling sound streaked through the air and hit Shuukou.
Boom!!
Another familiar sound, fierce flames engulfed the high-temperature Shuukou.
Yanagawagi stared in disbelief at the scene before him. His Zanpakuto, which had put him in danger several times, now lied defeated on the ground, powerless to resist.
“Hurry up and regain control of your Zanpakuto,” Tokikaze said calmly, “Then go support others. The Seireitei is completely in chaos now.”
Satotani and Yanagawagi exchanged glances, both seeing the shock in each other’s eyes.
Before they could ask, Tokikaze flashed away with Shunpo to another battlefield.
As the strongest combatant of the Ninth Division, it was better to resolve the chaos here early and then search for the true culprit behind all this.
Although an innocent world didn’t exist, Tokikaze believed he could at least minimize the visible evil.
A trip to Sokyoku Hill wouldn’t be an exaggeration for the mastermind behind this.
Although it wasn’t clear who was behind all this, there were only a few suspects based on the current clues.
Muramasa, who was determined to save Kuchiki Koga; Sosuke Aizen, who enjoyed watching chaos unfold; Kisuke Urahara, the shady merchant; and the Visored army, who were a unit of battle strength.
Although the latter was less likely, suspicion couldn’t be ruled out. Who knew if some of them had gone radical and become captives of the power of the Hollows?
And if Urahara Kisuke’s antidote research wasn’t timely enough, there was a high probability that some of them would have undergone pathological changes in their mind.
The power in this world was too idealistic.
“Hado #4: Byakurai.”
Another thunderbolt streaked across the sky, ferociously striking the battlefield ahead.
Ryugawa looked at the Zanpakuto, which had instantly turned to charcoal, feeling somewhat excited and restless.
He had been fighting his Zanpakuto for nearly half an hour.
But he couldn’t take it down, and as time passed, his spiritual pressure continued to diminish, and Ryugawa gradually showed signs of exhaustion, with the possibility of defeat at any moment.
And just then.
Thunder rained down from the sky like a divine punishment.
Crashing down on the defiant traitors, it didn’t even allow them a moment’s respite.
“Captain!”
Ryugawa’s face was flushed with excitement.
As the witness to Tokikaze’s rise to captaincy, Ryugawa ‘s loyalty seemed to be overflowing.
“Regain control of your Zanpakuto and then go support other battlefields,” Tokikaze waved his hand, not intending to communicate further with Ryugawa and hurried to the next battlefield.
Since Arashigane discovered the power of lightning, he found that all lightning-based Hado, such as Hado# 4: Byakurai, Hado #11: Tsuzuri Raiden, Hado #63: Raikoho, and Hado #88: Hiryugekizoku Shinten Raiho, had increased in power to varying degrees.
The blessings of lightning had an effect on everything.
Even the abandoned Hado #4: Byakurai, was now as powerful as the fully cast Hado #31: Shakkaho now with incantation.
For Tokikaze, Byakurai was not only powerful but also extremely fast, and it could now be considered one of the conventional attacks.
With the continuous influx of reinforcements, the situation in the Ninth Division gradually stabilized.
The pressure on other Division Members was also gradually decreasing.
The situation was looking up.
…
Meanwhile, in the Fifth Division barracks, two figures stood nonchalantly on the roof, calmly watching the increasingly fierce flames below.
“Captain Aizen is really cruel,” Gin Ichimaru said with a smile, “Watching his own squad members die in agony without a hint of emotion.”
“It’s just necessary sacrifices to go on,” Aizen said with hands folded. The reflection of the blazing flames shimmered on his plain glasses, but his eyes remained indifferent.
“Death was not the end for them.”
“Well, that’s a heartless thing to say,” Gin Ichimaru shrugged with a hint of helplessness on his face. “There are still some information about Kuchiki Koga that Captain Aizen needs to pay attention to.”
“After Shiso Keppu was broken, Kuchiki Koga’s condition became somewhat abnormal.”
Gin pretended to ponder, “His emotions are extremely unstable. Even when his Zanpakuto, Muramasa, appeared, he didn’t hesitate to stab him.”
“Although they made later, it seems there’s still a gap between them.”
“And Muramasa has a keen sense. Despite the camouflage, I was still detected by him.”
Aizen pushed up his glasses gently and said mildly, “Was Kuchiki Koga also induced to rebel at that time?”
“Yes!” Gin’s expression became even more helpless. “Kuchiki Koga was really heartless.”
“The moment he rebelled, he used his Shikai and launched an attack on my heart.”
“If I hadn’t dodged in time, I might not be seeing you now.”
Aizen nodded reassuringly, “You’ve worked hard, Gin.”
“Now please come with me to witness the truth of Soul Society’s history.”
Facing the invitation, Gin gladly accepted, though his slightly narrowed eyes still concealed his emotions, leaving others wondering what he was thinking.
…
In less than half a day, the turmoil in the Ninth Division was quelled.
Apart from Tokikaze, Rangiku Matsumoto, and Ise Nanao, Satotani and Yanagawagi also performed greatly.
After regaining control of their Zanpakuto, their mastery over them improved significantly.
Their already impressive Shikai abilities soared even further.
With their boosted confidence, the two of them went around and swiftly quelled the battles, greatly helping to speed up the restoration of order.
Meanwhile, Ryugawa acted as an intelligence gatherer, despite his injuries, quickly roughly estimating the financial losses of the Ninth Division and submitting documents to Tokikaze.
“Hmm, is this all?”
Tokikaze frowned. “Even if we multiply it by ten, it’s still nothing compared to the wealth of the Kuchiki Clan!”
Because the battle ended too quickly, only a few buildings were damaged, along with several streets collapsing, and there were no casualties.
“Then multiply it by ten again.”
Hearing this, Satotani suddenly felt a sense of unease rising in his heart. Just as he was about to slip away, he saw Tokikaze not even looking up, shouting:
“Satotani, you should be familiar with the procedure by now.”
“Remember to pay a visit to the Kuchiki Clan then…”
