Bleach Seireitei's Discipline Captain - Chapter 147
Tokikaze lay on a soft lap pillow, inhaling the delicate fragrance that lingered in the air. Different from the floral scent from before, a hint of medicinal aroma was mixed in, which complemented the original scent, adding a unique charm to Unohana Retsu.
Her black hair fell, gently brushing Tokikaze’s face. Despite the high peaks obstructing his view, when Unohana leaned forward, he could faintly see the scars below her collarbone.
The overlapping scars resembled blooming flowers. Tokikaze raised his right hand and gently pressed it on them. Though still smooth, the uneven texture elicited a sense of regret.
“Can they be healed?”
Tokikaze knew that with Unohana’s proficiency in Kaido, healing these scars would be simple, even easier than described.
Unohana remained silent, her gentle gaze meeting Tokikaze’s. After a moment, a smile like a spring breeze appeared on her pretty face.
“Of course they can be…”
Her simple response indicated a change in her mindset. Correspondingly, Tokikaze’s lips curled slightly. Unlike the battle before, this moment she signified Unohana’s true acceptance of him.
Over the next month, Kiyonosuke Yamada optimized Meika Tensho, simplifying the Reiatsu pathways, reducing consumption, and enhancing the healing effect. With sufficient practice, it could even be used in battle to heal wounds simultaneously. Consequently, the learning difficulty increased.
Even with Tokikaze’s current Kido proficiency, mastering it quickly was challenging. The only immediate benefit was Kenpachi Zaraki’s complete recovery, after which he was taken by the Kido Corps, escorted by dozens of elite Shinigami, and sent to Muken.
Out of profound respect, Kiyonosuke Yamada requested Tokikaze’s permission to teach Unohana Retsu Meika Tensho. Tokikaze had no reason to refuse. The technique’s learning conditions were stringent, with few in the Gotei 13 meeting the requirements. The Reiatsu consumption alone would deter most seated officers and even some lieutenants, not to mention mastering its complex spells.
With days of effort and one-on-one guidance from Kiyonosuke, Unohana mastered Meika Tensho before Tokikaze. Their talents in Kaido were on entirely different levels, her hundreds of years of experience utterly outclassing him.
With Meika Tensho mastered, swordsmanship exchanges between Tokikaze and Unohana became increasingly challenging. After all, who could withstand a berserker with healing abilities?
In terms of combat ferocity, Unohana was no less than Kenpachi Zaraki. However, her madness carried an elegance unique to the first Kenpachi. Her hair flew, and a smile filled with killing intent spread across her face, covering the battlefield like a winter chill.
Unohana’s every movement sent a barrage of sword techniques towards Tokikaze, nearly dissecting him on the spot. Similar scenes played out every few days in the North Rukongai.
Both Unohana and Tokikaze found themselves increasingly immersed in these high-intensity battles. The benefits were numerous, leading to a significant development in Tokikaze’s abilities.
First, his Zanpakuto, Arashi no Uta. Through the Genryu teachings of Yamamoto Genryusai, Tokikaze further explored his true self within Zanpakuto’s realm. While he had not yet reached the level of Bankai, the power of his Shikai increased substantially.
If he encountered Szayel Aporro again, the battle would be significantly easier, and with a bit of carelessness on the opponent’s part, they might never leave the World of the Living.
Next was integrating Kido spells and timing in battle. By mastering these, Tokikaze’s Kido combat capabilities improved rapidly. He now had confidence that he could make Byakuya Kuchiki completely lose his composure using Kido alone.
Finally, there was his Fullbring. As a power based on soul strength, there were few methods to enhance Fullbring. Altering one’s soul strength was extremely limited. Aside from exploiting loopholes, only increasing his spiritual pressure level would cause a transformation in his soul.
Currently, Tokikaze was still some distance from First Rank Reiatsu, so his Fullbring power remained at its current strength. However, in his exchanges with Unohana, Tokikaze became adept at utilizing his limited Fullbring power to create greater destruction.
Soul Society entered a rare period of peace. There were no rebels, heretics, or so-called criminals. Tokikaze enjoyed this tranquility, although it meant trouble for some people.
For example, Hanataro Yamada, who had fallen into Ikkaku Madarame’s hands, was struggling to survive. The noble Shihouin family, who had their head captured, was debating the cost of retrieving Yushiro from Tokikaze.
And, of course, the two Kenpachi imprisoned in Muken.
Central 46 Underground Prison, Eighth Layer, Muken.
“Hee hee hee, it’s been so long since you’ve opened your eyes!”
“How long has it been? Hundreds of years, three thousand years, or twenty thousand years?”
In the darkness, a sharp, piercing female voice rang out like a dagger stabbing into one’s brain.
“You opened your eyes when Kenpachi Zaraki was imprisoned here.”
A low voice answered, dispelling the surrounding darkness. A faint glow illuminated the speaker, revealing their surroundings.
The special material black floor stretched out endlessly, with no walls or ceilings in sight, creating a boundless area. In this space dominated by darkness, a woman exuding a noble aura stood before the man.
She wore white noble attire, her eyes covered by a leather strap, but it didn’t seem to hinder her gaze. Tilting her head, she stared at the man, chattering like a sparrow.
“Yes, you did open your eyes when the new prisoner arrived.”
“But why did you open them now?!”
The man responded calmly:
“This generation’s Kenpachi disgusts me.”
“His existence is like a beast devouring raw flesh that has intruded into the plains.”
“Perhaps it’s time to leave this place…”
