Bleach Seireitei's Discipline Captain - Chapter 153
“Well, well, a prisoner escaping from Muken—what a headache,” Ichimaru Gin remarked casually, tapping his palm as if the situation was out of his control.
“Is there any detailed intel on this eighth Kenpachi, Jich? Tsumuya?”
In his words, the atmosphere in the room became even more complex.
Ky?raku Shunsui stroked his stubbly chin, a bittersweet smile crossing his weathered face as he spoke frankly:
“You’re hitting the nail on the head, but unfortunately, we don’t have much information about Jich? Tsumuya’s strength.”
“All we really know is that he killed the seventh Kenpachi, Kuryashiki Kenpachi, in a duel…”
At the mention of that name, Shunsui’s expression grew somber, as if he was mourning the past.
Kuryashiki Kenpachi had been one of Shunsui’s few close friends, and they had shared many conversations, their bond strong. Even though Kuryashiki had decided to duel Tsumuya, Shunsui still couldn’t shake the sadness that lingered, even after a hundred years.
“Forgive me for asking, but how strong was Kuryashiki Kenpachi?” Ichimaru Gin, seemingly unaware of the shift in Shunsui’s expression, maintained a curious tone.
“Kuryashiki once single-handedly repelled a Vasto Lorde that invaded the Soul Society,” Shunsui answered honestly, despite his reluctance. “And during the Hollow expedition, he killed an Adjuchas-class Menos.”
The room fell silent after this statement.
Everyone present, being captains, understood the gravity of such feats. Repelling a Vasto Lorde killing an Adjuchas-class Hollow—these accomplishments alone were enough to make any captain present feel inadequate.
After all, some of them had never even encountered a Vasto Lorde.
Yet, such an influential figure had still fallen to Jich? Tsumuya.
The severity of the situation escalated in an instant.
“What a troublesome figure,” Gin muttered, narrowing his eyes as a fleeting blue glint passed through them. “If someone like him were to wreak havoc in the Soul Society, it’d be a world-level disaster!”
Hearing this, a hint of concern appeared on the faces of the others.
Tokikaze scanned the room, his gaze briefly landing on Aizen.
Worry, anxiety…
His acting was flawless.
If anyone was most affected by Jich? Tsumuya’s escape, it was undoubtedly Aizen. After all, with his Zanpakut?, Uro Zazaniya, Tsumuya would know everything happening in the Soul Society. If he revealed Aizen’s plans, the situation would spiral out of control.
Just then, an unexpected event occurred in the center of the meeting room.
Nearby spiritual particles began to gather, forming shadows and then taking shape.
These colored particles coalesced into the figure of a person.
“There’s no need for excessive worry,” the figure said, solidifying into someone wearing a white captain’s haori. “I won’t cause too much destruction to the Soul Society or the Seireitei.”
Seeing this, Yamamoto Genry?sai slammed his cane on the ground, producing a resounding thud as strands of flame wound around it. The temperature in the room rose sharply.
“Jich? Tsumuya! How dare you appear here!” Yamamoto roared in fury.
Unfazed by the anger, Jich? Tsumuya calmly bowed in greeting. “It’s been a long time, Head Captain,” he said. “There’s no need to greet me with such heat. This body is just a small part of me, and destroying it would be meaningless.”
Despite these words, Yamamoto’s eyes remained cold, and the temperature continued to climb.
“You voluntarily imprisoned yourself, and now you’ve escaped. Speak! What is your goal?!”
The oppressive atmosphere grew heavier as if gravity itself had multiplied, and the overwhelming pressure blanketed everyone in the room, weighing down their skin and organs.
But for Jich? Tsumuya, it was as if the pressure didn’t exist—or instead, didn’t affect his current state.
“Head Captain, you’ve changed since I was locked away in Muken,” Tsumuya observed. “Back then, you wouldn’t have given a criminal the chance to speak. You would have subdued me the moment I appeared.”
“Is it because of your new disciple?”
His gaze drifted and finally settled on Tokikaze.
The onlooker, who had been enjoying the drama, suddenly froze—how had the attention shifted to him?
“What are you trying to say?!” Yamamoto demanded, flames surging from his feet, filling the air with scorching heat.
But Tsumuya ignored everything around him, focusing solely on Tokikaze.
“Head of the Kanmiyadai family, Captain of the Ninth Division, and disciple of Yamamoto Genry?sai Shigekuni… Your power is unique.”
After saying this, Tsumuya finally turned his attention back to Yamamoto and answered in a steady voice:
“My goal remains the same as before.”
“There’s no need for such hostility, Head Captain,” Tsumuya added. “At present, I have no intention of disrupting the order of the Soul Society.”
“Your words aren’t enough to convince us,” Ky?raku Shunsui said firmly, quietly using his spiritual pressure to seal the area.
Tsumuya noticed but wasn’t concerned. Whether it was a spiritual lock or a kido barrier, even if they sealed the entire First Division, it wouldn’t affect him in the slightest.
“Believe me or not, it doesn’t matter,” Tsumuya said, once again turning his gaze to Tokikaze. “My goal now is only one thing: to fulfill the duty of a Shinigami—”
“To eliminate Hollows from the source!”
The room fell into dead silence as everyone stared at Tsumuya in shock, unable to believe what they were hearing. Whether his words were valid or not, achieving such a goal would mean altering the very fabric of their world!
Only Tokikaze seemed unimpressed as he stared at the glowing figure before him. Compared to Aizen’s ambitions, Tsumuya was the actual terrorist, with ideals more extreme than anyone else.
Perhaps only Yhwach, still sleeping in the Wandenreich, could be considered an equal to Tsumuya in terms of radicalism.
“Such a grand goal,” Tokikaze responded coolly. “But are you aware of something? The duty of a Shinigami has never been to eradicate all Hollows.”
