Bleach Seireitei's Discipline Captain - Chapter 156
Yuro Zazaniya, a Kido-type Zanpakuto, boasts incredibly overpowered abilities, making it a god-tier tool in internal conflicts among Shinigami.
It can integrate its spiritual particles into those of inanimate objects, allowing complete control over the material as if it were an extension of the user. Once fused with a particular space, it can monitor, listen, sense, and manipulate everything within, even creating clones at will. It can also infuse its spiritual particles into living organisms, controlling the infused parts, although it cannot directly harm enemies with high spiritual pressure. The higher the opponent’s spiritual pressure, the stronger their resistance to Jich? Tsumuya’s control.
As Tokikaze quickly reviewed Jich?’s abilities in his mind, his spiritual pressure surged, enveloped by a current of wind. Dark winds swirled around him, transforming into a flowing cloak, the hem fluttering lightly as intricate patterns etched into the fabric, adding a mystical beauty.
Using the power of Fullbring, he activated F?jin Cloak. Recognizing the potential of an opponent who could control others, Tokikaze responded with the utmost respect, going all out right from the start. If he had more confidence in holding Jich? back, he might have considered using Danku Blade to strike immediately.
However, at his current level, Danku Blade was more of a trump card due to its significant energy consumption.
The ground transformed into surging waves, rising layer upon layer, quickly reaching heights of a hundred meters, resembling a towering mountain crashing down toward Tokikaze’s position. Jich? Tsumuya stood calmly, his expression indifferent, as if orchestrating something insignificant.
“…Turn into a wave that engulfs the sky—Hado No. 57: Earth Dance.”
A barely perceptible Kido incantation caused the oncoming wave to solidify. The earth beneath it took on a metallic black sheen, exuding an oppressive force just from a glance.
Tokikaze took a deep breath, realizing Jich?’s strength exceeded his expectations.
But as a Kenpachi who mastered the strongest swordsmanship, was using only Kido the best strategy?
At the edge of the training grounds, Ayasegawa Yumichika, who the waves of earth had swept away, stared in astonishment at the overwhelming sight before him. He couldn’t believe what he was witnessing.
He knew about Earth Dance and had even mastered it at a decent level.
But compared to what this ghostly figure in mourning clothes had just displayed, his own Earth Dance felt like child’s play.
The two were on entirely different levels.
A bald head struggled to emerge from the dirt, and Ikkaku’s expression mirrored Yumichika’s disbelief as he took in the horrifying scene.
“Did we ever have anyone in the Eleventh Division who mastered Kido…?”
“I’m not sure if we did before, but we sure do now,” Yumichika replied, his spiritual pressure bursting forth as he tried to break free from the earth’s restraints. After a few failed attempts, he finally clawed his way out, disheveled but determined.
Without wasting any time, Yumichika grabbed Ikkaku’s head with both hands, pulling with all his strength.
The sheer force contorted Ikkaku’s head painfully, and he screamed in agony: “You idiot! That’s my head, my head!”
“Let go, you idiot!!”
…
“Bakud? No. 81: Danku.”
Tokikaze raised his left hand, summoning a transparent barrier that descended from the sky and crashed down in front of him, its unbreakable strength holding back the oncoming wave of earth.
Boom!
The wave exploded, swallowing the figure beneath it. The Danku barrier, several meters high, barely stood a chance against the catastrophic force. The earth collapsed, burying nearby buildings and spreading in all directions.
For a moment, the entire training ground shook violently, the landscape shifting, and the Ninth Division headquarters groaned under the pressure of the massive waves.
Fortunately, Jich?’s target was singular. The rest of the division only suffered from the residual shockwave, not enough to kill them outright. A few unlucky souls were knocked unconscious and severely injured after being engulfed by the mudslide.
Just as Jich? had said before, he had no intention of destroying the Soul Society’s order. If people didn’t stand in his way, he didn’t mind sparing them, as he had done with Yumichika earlier.
Suddenly, a powerful gust of wind swept through the battlefield, parting the earth and revealing Tokikaze’s unscathed figure.
Danku had withstood the first wave of the attack, but subsequent waves still buried him under layers of earth.
The fearsome gusts erupted outward, shaking the air as violent winds tore through the sky, sending shockwaves in every direction. The sky above the Ninth Division quaked as wind blades slashed through the air, ripping apart the ground.
Facing the Eighth Kenpachi, Tokikaze approached this battle with unprecedented seriousness. In terms of raw strength, this was the strongest opponent he had ever faced.
At his current power level, the outcome of the battle remained uncertain.
The wind blades engulfed Jich?’s location, but unfortunately, against him, they were utterly useless.
When the dust settled and the battlefield returned to an eerie calm, Jich?’s unharmed figure stood precisely where he had been. If not for the crisscrossing scars on the ground, Tokikaze might have thought his previous attack had hit nothing but air.
“What an annoying ability…” Tokikaze sighed. “It’s almost impossible to defeat you here in the Soul Society.”
“Perhaps the only way to beat you is by destroying the entire Soul Society itself.”
Jich?’s expression remained calm, his eyes void of any emotion as he replied quietly:
“What will you do then?”
“Given what you know about Yuro Zazaniya’s abilities, you should understand that your power alone isn’t enough to harm me.”
“Or are you planning to obliterate the entire Soul Society?”
He spoke as if it were a trivial matter, like swatting a fly.
“Do you remember what I told you before?”
Tokikaze raised his sword. “The Great Spirit Book Gallery forcefully records all information and knowledge—it has nothing to do with the will of the Shinigami.”
“Yuro Zazaniya is not without flaws.”
Just as his words fell, a seductive woman appeared next to Jich?, her sharp, high-pitched laughter piercing the air as if it were about to rupture his eardrums.
“Kekekekeke, this boy is quite amusing!”
“Don’t look at me with such a rude gaze just because my name has ‘sword’ in it! I never told this guy my abilities!”
Before Jich? could respond, Tokikaze frowned slightly, focusing his gaze on the newly appeared figure in the distance.
Through his spiritual pressure, he sensed a human-like presence within his detection range.
“Yuro…Zazaniya?”
“Ah, I’ve been discovered!” Yuro Zazaniya covered her mouth, feigning surprise. “You really are special, as this guy says.”
“You’re the only one who can detect my presence with just spiritual pressure alone.”
“Kanmiyadai boy, you’re becoming more and more interesting!”
Jich? remained calm, unsurprised as if he had anticipated this development all along.
“Have you realized it?” he said. “Kanmiyadai Tokikaze, if you could properly wield this unique power, the world would change.”
“The source of all Hollows could be severed, and the Soul Society would achieve eternal peace.”
Tokikaze frowned, slowly realizing what Jich? meant by this “special power.”
At first, he assumed Jich? was referring to his Zanpakut?, Rangin, or perhaps something even more mysterious.
But now, combining the current situation with Jich?’s words, it became clear.
This “special power” likely referred to his extraordinary affinity with spiritual particles.
His ability to sense Yuro Zazaniya’s presence stemmed entirely from his heightened spiritual sensitivity.
Jich?’s goal was to transform humanity in the living world, removing unnecessary desires and emotions so that when people died, they would not turn into Hollows.
This would allow him to achieve his ultimate goal of eradicating Hollows from their very source.
In the original timeline, Jich? discovered that Loly Aivirrne’s Inverse Membrane Threads could help him achieve his goals, which is why he escaped from the Hell of Incarceration.
Currently, Loly hasn’t been fully modified by Szayelaporro, and the Arrancar hasn’t even been created yet.
In contrast, Tokikaze’s heightened spiritual affinity could achieve a similar effect.
Having unraveled Jich?’s plans, Tokikaze let out a helpless sigh. “Why does it always come down to me?”
“Surrender your power,” Jich? said calmly. “Severing the source of Hollows will leave a lasting mark on Soul Society’s history.”
They are sacrificing the individual for the greater good.
This was Jich?’s philosophy.
As for the opinion of the one being sacrificed? That didn’t matter.
“You’re a bit too extreme,” Tokikaze muttered, raising his sword. Thunder and wind surged above, and thick clouds rolled in once more. Countless bolts of lightning snaked through the sky as if ready to obliterate the world.
“Eliminating all Hollows will only throw the world into chaos.”
“Even the Spirit King wouldn’t want to see that happen.”
Not wasting any more words, Tokikaze swung his sword. Bolts of lightning roared down, crashing across the battlefield.
The ground shattered, the earth crumbled, and jagged, charred fissures extended outward like scars across the battlefield.
Jich?’s body was torn apart by the onslaught of lightning, reduced to countless fragments of light scattered across the field, only to reassemble into a new form moments later.
As he had said earlier, unless the entire Soul Society was destroyed, attacks like this would barely scratch him, let alone kill him.
“The scattered bones of beasts! The tower of iron and crimson crystals!”
“The moving one is the wind, the still one is the sky.”
“The sound of spears clashing echoes throughout the Hollow city!”
The repeated chanting of a Kido incantation filled the desolate ruins. Continuous explosions reverberated in all directions as violent lightning engulfed Jich?.
Unlike the usual Kido spells chanted by Shinigami, Jich?’s voice seemed to echo multiple times, as though layers of sound vibrated through the air. The rumbling thunder on the ground even began to overpower the noise in the sky above.
Opposite him, Tokikaze smirked, raising one hand to the sky. The dense clouds formed into a vortex, and a violent aura surged as lightning converged at the eye of the storm.
“Come on, I’ll grant your wish.”
A sinister grin appeared on Tokikaze’s face, the air vibrating violently around him. The apocalyptic scene enveloped the entire division grounds, extending further into the distance.
“Hado No. 63: Raik?h?!”
The simultaneous incantations became the final trumpet for this battle.
In the next moment, thunderous lightning roared down with the power to obliterate everything, swallowing the entire battlefield. Blinding light shot into the sky, turning the division grounds into what seemed like daytime.
