Boom!!

Hundreds of Gigai, sacrificed using a portion of Tsukishiro S?ya’s soul, ignited an intense flame across the barren skies of Hueco Mundo, covering dozens of miles!

What should have been a night in Hueco Mundo had now turned into broad daylight, as far as the eye could see, with towering flames dominating the landscape.

The burning colors of orange and red painted the sky, and enormous scarlet blades of reishi burst forth as if they would incinerate everything within Hueco Mundo.

The Quincy, who had fled far away, looked in horror at the distant sky, their pupils reflecting the apocalyptic scene.

They never imagined that, even after fleeing dozens of miles, the shockwaves of the battle would still affect them.

The giant flame blade that pierced the night sky tore through the atmosphere, erasing the cold air for miles. Intense heat followed, sweeping in all directions.

The weaker Quincy had to form spiritual pressure barriers to shield themselves from the incoming heat waves.

They couldn’t fathom the terror those at the center of the flames must be enduring.

The Itt? Kas? shot into the sky, obliterating the surrounding air currents. Space twisted, forming dark cracks in the void.

Yet thick clouds continuously evaporated and reformed around the flames, with countless lightning bolts snaking through the sky, rumbling as they unleashed boundless power.

Tsukishiro S?ya’s sudden outburst had exceeded Tokikaze’s expectations but was still within an acceptable range.

Tokikaze still had some confidence in facing this Eighth Generation Kenpachi without relying on the terrain advantage.

Howling winds rose, the initially pale blue wind growing darker and more intense, eventually turning pitch black and merging with the heavy clouds above. Lightning cascaded down, fusing with the heat and light, further intensifying the storm.

Tokikaze faced the blazing sea of flames head-on. His sword, Aragane, trembled as it absorbed the violent winds. In an instant, the once silver blade turned crimson.

An indescribable heat radiated from it, surpassing even the power of Itt? Kas?.

Through his Genry? Battozan training, Tokikaze had learned the essence of wind and thunder within his zanpakut? space and had developed a new technique, using his familiar wind-based release as the foundation.

His spiritual pressure surged into the blade, and fiery red patterns spread across it, emitting a dazzling light.

Tokikaze directly confronted Itt? Kas?, and though he was nearing exhaustion, even his Tsunrai Haori couldn’t hold up any longer.

He gazed at the approaching flame tornado, and with Aragane in hand, he struck decisively.

“Scorching Wind of Wrath!”

With a soft utterance, the molten-like blade fell, and an invisible wind erupted forward.

There was no massive explosion, blinding light reaching the heavens, or sweeping aftershocks.

The towering flame that pierced the heavens vanished instantly as if it had been wiped out, leaving no trace.

Large patches of scorching red crystal remained on the desert surface, formed from sand melted under intense heat into glass.

That was all that remained from the clash of powers.

“The hot winds,” said the Buddha, “when they come to this world, they scatter all living beings, leaving nothing behind…”

Tokikaze stood in place, breathing steady as he gazed into the distance. His sword, Aragane, hung loosely in his hand, and the residual heat dripped from it, instantly corroding the sand below, forming a bottomless pit.

In contrast, Tsukishiro S?ya, in the distance, was disheveled and no longer held the elegance he initially displayed.

Sacrificing hundreds of Gigai in one go had also taken a toll on him.

But at this moment, he couldn’t afford to worry about that.

What shocked him more than the loss of his Gigai and soul fragments was that Tokikaze had withstood his Had? 96 head-on.

With all his knowledge, Tsukishiro S?ya couldn’t comprehend the nature of that technique.

Was it a direct attack? A Kid? technique? Or a manipulation of the rules?

Panting heavily, Tsukishiro S?ya struggled to regain his composure.

He could sense that Tokikaze was also pushing himself. The recent attack had drained all of his spiritual pressure.

Although he seemed relaxed, it was clear that Tokikaze was at his limit. He probably couldn’t even lift his zanpakut? anymore…

Before the thought could fully form, an even more terrifying sight unfolded—visible reishi streams swirled around Tokikaze, enveloping him entirely, and his recovery speed defied all logic.

Tsukishiro S?ya summoned the new Gigai without hesitation, forming ten figures around him.

The intense reishi turbulence surged, and the magic for Had? 73: Twin Lotus Blue Fire, Crash Down began to resound again, forming a faint ripple as it condensed above.

A cascade of azure flames poured down, flooding toward Tokikaze’s position.

If he could disrupt his recovery, there was still a chance to win!

Even now, Tsukishiro S?ya hadn’t given up on defeating Tokikaze and fusing his reishi with his own.

“Rainfall Pomegranate.”

The firm voice echoed across the desolate desert, and a familiar, mischievous voice came in response.

“Hee hee hee! Finally decided to call me out?” A seductive figure appeared behind Tsukishiro S?ya, Rainfall Pomegranate giggling as she mocked his current state.

“Hee hee, are you regretting your reckless actions now?”

“If you’d spent more time observing from the shadows, you might have found that charming guy’s weaknesses.”

Tsukishiro S?ya asked quietly, “Was all of this within your expectations?”

“Hee hee hee! How could that be?”

Rainfall Pomegranate let out an excited laugh. “I never expected you’d lose to that interesting guy, though I have to admit, he is quite handsome.”

“But looking at things now, it’s turned out rather well!”

“So, why did you call me out?”

Tsukishiro S?ya remained silent, watching as the black winds again extinguished the azure flames. In a voice so low it was almost inaudible, he said:

“Return to your initial release state.”

“I can’t say no to you, but… I’ll respect your choice…”

Before their conversation concluded, a surge of spiritual pressure exploded from a distance, and a white figure appeared before them.

Looking at the form of Rainfall Pomegranate, which seemed to be returning to its initial state, Tokikaze smirked, a cruel grin forming.

“Thinking of going all out now? Isn’t it a little too late for that?”

Before Tsukishiro could activate his ability, a large hand suddenly grasped his face, and with a burst of power, Tokikaze slammed him into the sand.

Boom!

A massive cloud of white sand shot into the air, burying Tsukishiro’s eyes, nose, and mouth in an instant, leaving him in a pitiful state.

“You, I…” Rainfall Pomegranate’s lips parted, her mature face filled with shock, and she could not continue her previous laughter.

Tokikaze’s complete disregard for convention had caught everyone off guard.

Further away, Maki Kurosaki’s eyes sparkled with excitement, clearly enjoying the unexpected turn of events.

Even Ury? Ishida was speechless, unable to understand.

Weren’t true warriors supposed to respect each other and pull out their trump cards for a grand showdown?

Isn’t the principle that the brave triumph in a standoff?

He felt his worldview shifting.

Unfortunately, Tokikaze’s actions didn’t stop Rainfall Pomegranate from reverting to its initial release. The reishi gathered, forming a shallow blade in Tsukishiro S?ya’s palm.

Though disheveled, Tsukishiro erupted with spiritual pressure, momentarily forcing Tokikaze back.

Standing in place as the sand slid off him, Tsukishiro’s emotions were conflicted.

He had always respected those willing to sacrifice themselves for others, those with a strong sense of justice.

In his eyes, Tokikaze was undoubtedly such a person.

His only flaw was his dirty fighting style.

Shouldn’t fellow captains show mutual respect?

Brushing off the sand, Tsukishiro realized he could no longer freely control Reishi now that he had returned to his initial release state.

All the reishi he had fused while in Bankai had now concentrated into the blade in his hand.

Having lost the strongest shield of his fusion technique, Tsukishiro now wielded the strongest spear.

“What a pity. I thought I could seal you.”

Tokikaze tossed aside the killing stone device he had prepared, sighing in disappointment.

“In the end, we’ve reached this point.”

“Fortunately, I’ve fully recovered.”

Thanks to his high affinity with Reishi, Tokikaze’s recovery speed was far beyond that of an ordinary captain.

As their spiritual pressures clashed, Tsukishiro no longer concerned himself with the previous events.

The final strike would decide their fate.

Life or death, strength would be the judge.

Heavy clouds gathered once again. Without the suppression of Itt? Kas?, they rolled in like waves, pressing down toward the earth.

At the horizon’s edge, the sky and land seemed to merge.

Ferocious heatwaves tore through the distance, cracking the eye of the storm, and violent lightning bolts surged into the raised blade below.

“Scorching Wind of Wrath.”

It was the same technique, but this time augmented by Fullbring power.

Facing an opponent with higher spiritual pressure, Tsukishiro S?ya dared not hesitate. With his trump cards already played, Tokikaze decided to go all in.

Molten red patterns flowed across the blade, and the heat caused the moisture in the air to evaporate instantly.

Tsukishiro S?ya took a deep breath, gripped his sword with both hands and charged forward, his eyes blazing with determination.

In a flash, their spiritual pressures clashed, unleashing all their strength. As their blades collided, a terrifying storm erupted, engulfing everything.

Vast sections of the void shattered, revealing pitch-black cracks like deep, unblinking eyes gazing at the apocalyptic storm raging toward the heavens.

The overwhelming shockwaves swept the desert for hundreds of miles, stirring the white sands into a massive dust storm that tore through Hueco Mundo.

…

A majestic yet simple palace stood beneath the crescent moon in the western direction. A giant throne towered over the palace; enormous white stone pillars framed the vast structure.

Seated on the throne was a skeletal Hollow exuding an aura of endless power. Its hollow eyes gazed at the approaching sandstorm in the distance.

The terrifying pressure spanned the endless distance, causing the figure on the throne to pause.

The skeletal Hollow slowly spoke, wisps of black mist escaping from its white bones.

“Soul Reapers…”

(The Scorching Winds of Wrath concept comes from the Genesis of the Buddha’s Universe Sutra. Since Bleach draws heavily from Buddhist texts—such as Hitsugaya’s Hy?rinmaru, T?sen’s Suzumushi Enma K?rogi, Urahara’s Kannonbiraki Benihime Aratame, Mayuri’s Ashisogi Jiz?, and the design of the Central Great Underground Prison—I thought it fitting.)
