Failing in Zanjutsu, Hakuda, and Hoho, Byakuya Kuchiki’s mood plunged into a deep abyss.
Although he was mentally prepared before coming to the Ninth Division barracks, losing so one-sidedly brought back memories of the past.
The last time he was brutally beaten by this detestable guy was not too long ago.
“Byakuya, do you want to continue?” Tokikaze twisted his wrist with a gentle look on his face.
Ever since he abandoned Golden Seal Society’s teaching in his childhood, he always felt like something was missing. After countless battles, he finally remembered that fighting with Byakuya felt better.
Byakuya Kuchiki, holding his stiff and sore neck, stood up from the floor. He didn’t seem so pleased as he remembered the time when he was beaten by Tokikaze in his childhood.
“Continue!”
In the firm tone, there was an unstoppable, daring courage.
Backing off at this point would be impolite.
There were only two more matches left. As long as he can defeat this guy once, all of his past humiliations would be washed away.
By then, he will also succeed as the 28th head of the Kuchiki Clan and the Captain of the Sixth Division.

Out of consideration for his relationship with Byakuya’s feelings, Tokikaze didn’t start with powerful defensive Bakudo like Enkosen or Danku.
A circular spiritual energy shield appears in front of Tokikaze, accurately blocking Byakurai.
Byakuya Kuchiki was baffled, realizing that Tokikaze’s proficiency in Kido might be equally terrifying.
The attack form of Byakurai is usually a narrow electric light resembling a white line traversing the sky, with a relatively small attack area.
Nevertheless, Tokikaze used the Bakudo #8 to block it, demonstrating his precision in control.

Byakuya Kuchiki regained composure and raised his right hand. A large area of red light bursts from his palm, as it headed straight towards Tokikaze.
Before the Bakudo could reach Tokikaze, a new Kido was instantly unleashed.
“Bakudo #4: Hainawa!”
“Bakudo #30: Shitotsu Sansen!”
A luminous rope constructed from Reiatsu slithered through the sky like a serpent, instantly catching up with the descending red light.
Three sharp gold-colored light followed closely behind, even faster than the previous two Bakudo.
In an instant, Various Bakudo was materializing in front of Byakuya Kuchiki, and the oppressive Reiatsu in the air becomes thick and heavy.
The sudden change caused a hint of surprise in Tokikaze’s eyes.
Byakuya Kuchiki truly lived up to his reputation as a genius. His basics of the four disciplines of Zanjutsu, Hakuda, Kido, and Hoho seemed almost flawless.
This is how a Captain should be instead of Kenpachi Zaraki, who only knew how to brute force his way through.
“Bakudo #39: Enkosen!”
Tokikaze stood in place, showing no intention to dodge. Along with the surge of Reiatsu, he instantly formed one circular shield after another.
They overlapped and interlocked, instantly forming a defensive posture resembling a barrier.

The three Bakudo hit Enkosen, creating ripples like water waves, before being stopped in their tracks.
But Byakuya Kuchiki never expected these three Bakudo to cause harm to Tokikaze. They were only used to buy him some time.
“Carriage of thunder, bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into six!”
Byakuya Kuchiki extended two fingers from his right hand, pointing straight ahead. The Reiatsu intensified, and the gravity in the training ground seemed to have increased slightly.
“Bakudo #61: Rikujokoro!”
Boom!
Crack!
Six bright beams of light fell on the four sides of the Enkosen, instantly shattering it. Cracks began to appear and spread at a visible speed.
Though a fully-chanted Rikujokoro was just a Bakudo, it still possessed a considerable destructive power.
“Hado #33: Sokatsui!”
Tokikaze wasn’t the type to just stand there and take a beating. He was a Soul Reaper, not a Menos Grande; he didn’t have the kind of defense like Hierro.
If he let Byakuya Kuchiki have his way, he might face an instantaneous attack like the Hiryu Gekizoku Shinten Raiho.
Blue flames burst forth, dividing into six groups of scorching flames, each falling onto one of the six beams of light.
The intense heat erupted instantly. The weakened beams of light from Rikujokoro persisted for only a moment, all shattering and turning into spiritual particles that returned into the atmosphere.
Although it failed to immobilize Tokikaze, for Byakuya Kuchiki, it was sufficient.
Seizing the opportunity, Byakuya Kuchiki chants a Kido incantation at a rapid pace, and a massive Reiatsu erupts from the training ground.
“Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! On the wall of blue flame, inscribe a twin lotus. In the abyss of conflagration, wait at the far heavens! Hado #73: Soren Sokatsui!”
In the instant the words are spoken, a surging Reiatsu arose, transforming into scorching azure flames that instantly colored the entire training ground.
The concentrated blue light formed in the center, and the torrential flames rage like a bursting flood. Terrifying heat soaring, creating a twisted and undulating distortion in the air.
The azure flames burst forth, instantly engulfing everything in its path.
Amidst the overwhelming spectacle, a faint voice was heard.
“Bakudo #81: Danku!”
Rumble!
An invisible barrier was instantly erected on the training ground, reaching straight up to the ceiling.
The exploding flames surge, roasting everything in their path, but the imposing barrier stopped them dead in their tracks.
Byakuya Kuchiki’s eyes reveal a hint of astonishment. He had learned Danku, but if he skipped the incantation, there was no way it could provide such defensive strength.
“Byakuya, losing focus in battle isn’t a good habit.”
Tokikaze stood behind Danku. His posture relaxed with indifferent expression, just like in the beginning.
“If you want to defeat me with this level of Hado, it’s far from enough!”
“Hado #63: Raikoho!”
The thunderous flash of lightning violently surges out, annihilating the remaining azure flames with an unstoppable force, and the residual momentum charged at Byakuya Kuchiki.
Each Kido has its own characteristics; while Raikoho might not be as powerful as Soren Sokatsui, its speed far exceeded it.
It was only at this moment that Byakuya Kuchiki regained his senses. At this point, it was almost too late to release Kido to block.
