- Chapter 108 - Cus: Angel Power Purity Level 30?
“I can’t just let this go. I need to get some answers, or it’ll keep bothering me!” Mule said, grinding his teeth in frustration.
“Do you plan to confront the Grand Priest’s son in front of him?” Campari sighed.
“What? His son?” Mule was taken aback, his face changing slightly.
“Don’t you know? Merus is the Grand Priest’s son,” Campari explained. “You shouldn’t cause trouble in front of the Grand Priest.”
Mule’s lips twitched, feeling a wave of unease.
Mule had naively assumed that Merus, like Campari, was just another angel formed from the essence of a universe. Although they were under the Grand Priest’s jurisdiction, he hadn’t realized they were his actual children.
Now knowing Merus’s true identity, Mule felt the need to be more cautious.
Yet, after a moment’s hesitation, Mule couldn’t resist wanting to ask a few questions.
“I’ll speak carefully… I’m not going to question him aggressively. I believe the Grand Priest won’t blame me for that,” Mule said after some thought.
“You should still be careful,” Campari advised. “I think it’s better to wait until after the competition.”
Mule fell silent, acknowledging Campari’s point.
Yes! It’s better to wait until after the competition.
I was too impulsive, nearly causing a big problem.
That guy is actually the Grand Priest’s son.
As they chatted, another brilliant light streaked across the sky.
The next moment, the angel Marcarita from Universe 11, along with God of Destruction Belmod and the apprentice God of Destruction Toppo, arrived at the scene.
The three immediately approached and greeted the Grand Priest.
Of course, Marcarita merely bowed, while Belmod and Toppo knelt.
“Go sit in the stands over there,” the Grand Priest instructed with a smile.
The three glanced over the platform, fixing their gaze on Merus.
“Oh, it’s Merus,” Marcarita smiled, “Belmod, let’s sit over there.”
Belmod had no objections.
The three sat next to Merus.
“Marcarita,” Merus greeted with a bow.
“Merus, it’s been a while. I heard you’ve been training with the Galactic Patrol in Universe 7. How’s that going?” Marcarita asked.
It’s worth noting that the Grand Priest has four sons and three daughters.
The sons are: Korn, Sawa, Whis, and Merus.
The daughters are: Cus, Marcarita, and Vados.
In addition, the Grand Priest has four adopted sons and two adopted daughters.
The adopted sons are: Campari, Cognac, Kukatale, and Mojito.
The adopted daughters are: Awamo and Martinu.
How to distinguish the biological children from the adopted ones?
It’s simple. The ones with more symmetrical features are the Grand Priest’s biological children.
Those with less symmetrical features are formed from the essence of the universe and later adopted by the Grand Priest.
Both adopted daughters are quite plump.
What went wrong during the condensation of the universe’s essence to create such plump women is unclear.
Because Merus and Marcarita are siblings, they naturally have a good relationship.
“Not bad, Marcarita,” Merus replied politely.
“Oh, is that chubby guy Merus’s apprentice God of Destruction?” Marcarita laughed, noticing Majin Buu.
“Yes,” Merus nodded, slightly embarrassed. “Doesn’t he resemble Champa in some ways?”
“Indeed, they do have similar body types,” Marcarita agreed thoughtfully.
Merus then noticed Toppo standing next to Belmod.
“Let me introduce, this is Belmod’s apprentice God of Destruction, Toppo,” Marcarita said, pointing to Toppo. “Belmod plans to retire in a few years and has been training an apprentice God of Destruction for a long time.”
“Training for a long time? So, Toppo must be very powerful,” Merus said.
“Of course,” Belmod smiled proudly. “Toppo will undoubtedly win this God of Destruction competition.”
Toppo straightened up, exuding confidence.
On his way here, Belmod mentioned that he had been training an apprentice God of Destruction for a long time.
The other universes’ Gods of Destruction had no intention of retiring and thus didn’t train apprentices.
Belmod’s point was clear: human growth is rapid under the guidance of a God of Destruction and an angel.
Toppo is sure to win this competition.
The 18th Universe’s God of Destruction will undoubtedly be Toppo.
“What wish should I make?” Belmod mused, pondering his wish and looking at the seven golden planets in the distant sky.
“Let’s think together,” Marcarita giggled.
Merus: “…”
“Marcarita, you all seem very confident,” Merus couldn’t help but comment.
“Well, Belmod was lucky to train an apprentice God of Destruction early,” Marcarita laughed.
“Marcarita, how can you say that?” Belmod’s face darkened.
“Just joking,” Marcarita laughed joyfully.
Mule, from a distance, decided to wait until after the competition to ask his questions.
Another brilliant light streaked across the sky.
The next moment, Angel Cognac and God of Destruction Quitela from Universe 4 descended and knelt before the Grand Priest.
The Grand Priest nodded and instructed them to sit in the stands.
Cognac and Quitela sat next to Belmod and the others from Universe 11.
“Quitela, are you here to watch the fun? Didn’t you bring a contestant?” Belmod asked with a smile.
“You’re right,” Quitela nodded, not denying it.
Quitela is the second most powerful God of Destruction after Beerus.
Quitela looks like a yellow mouse, somewhat shabby.
“Are you planning to forfeit? That doesn’t seem like your style,” Belmod said, puzzled.
Belmod knew Quitela well enough to know he was competitive.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t be the second strongest God of Destruction.
Quitela had been training hard to surpass Beerus and become the strongest God of Destruction.
Since Quitela won an arm-wrestling match against Beerus, he boasted about defeating him.
However, Quitela knew there was still a gap between him and Beerus.
“What? I enjoy watching the fun. Mind your own business,” Quitela snorted, ignoring Belmod, a faint smile on his lips.
Beside Quitela sat a tiny human resembling an ant.
This tiny person’s name is Damon.
If not carefully observed, it’s hard to notice him.
At least no one from Universe 11 had noticed Damon.
Even Marcarita hadn’t seen him.
Although she’s an angel, Marcarita didn’t need to closely observe other universes’ contestants.
“Quitela, are you sure your universe isn’t competing?” Mule asked.
“Who are you? A contestant from Universe 3? How dare you address me by name! You’re bold!” Quitela snorted.
Mule: “…”
“I’m Mule. I control Mosco,” Mule quickly explained, pointing to the giant robot Mosco beside him.
“Oh, it’s you. You rarely come out of that robot,” Quitela recalled, saying indifferently.
“Yeah…” Mule nodded.
“Cognac, seems we arrived early,” Quitela said to Angel Cognac.
It seems that in the eyes of the strong, someone like Mule, who relies on a robot to become a God of Destruction, is despised.
Mule had been despised before and wasn’t particularly bothered.
Mule knew his standing among the Gods of Destruction wasn’t high.
But what could he do?
If someone from our universe becomes the 18th Universe’s God of Destruction, I’ll have a significant ally.
“Majikayo, it’s up to you in this competition,” Mule said, patting Majikayo’s shoulder.
“Yes, Lord Mule,” Majikayo replied respectfully.
“It’s a pity Luke isn’t around. If you had Luke’s help, your chances of winning would be higher,” Mule said through gritted teeth.
Majikayo said nothing.
“But you’re also a high-tech product of our universe, with super liquid metal and additional genes, granting regenerative abilities, nearly making you immortal,” Mule smiled confidently.
“Yes,” Majikayo saluted again.
“Whoosh! Whoosh!”
Two brilliant lights streaked across the sky.
Angel Whis from Universe 7 brought Emperor Frieza, and Angel Cus and God of Destruction Rumsshi from Universe 10 brought Zamasu.
The two universes arrived almost simultaneously, bowing before the Grand Priest.
Whis and Cus bowed, while the Gods of Destruction and human contestants knelt.
Frieza’s eyes darted around, wondering if he should complain to the highest deity in the universe.
The Supreme Kai killed my son and knocked me away with a glare.
Who do I complain to?
However, Frieza thought it inappropriate to speak up now.
Winning the competition first would give him more leverage.
On the way here, Whis had briefly explained the deity they were meeting.
Thus, Frieza was very respectful upon meeting the Grand Priest.
Even Lord Beerus would bow to this deity.
“Is Beerus still sleeping?” the Grand Priest asked Whis with a smile.
“Yes, so I had to bring the contestant myself,” Whis nodded.
“Sit in the stands over there,” the Grand Priest instructed Whis.
Whis brought Frieza to sit beside Merus.
The Grand Priest then looked at Cus, Rumsshi, and Zamasu from Universe 10.
“This is a Kai, right?” the Grand Priest instantly
recognized Zamasu’s rank.
Zamasu bowed again, more precisely this time.
“Yes,” Cus nodded repeatedly. “As expected of the Grand Priest, you saw through it immediately.”
“Technically… Kais aren’t allowed to compete,” the Grand Priest suddenly said.
Zamasu: “…”
Did I come for nothing?
Rumsshi was also troubled.
After all this effort, we can’t compete.
That’s tragic.
“But this time, as an exception, you can compete,” the Grand Priest added.
Zamasu sighed in relief.
Cus and Rumsshi quickly expressed their thanks.
“Sit in the stands over there,” the Grand Priest smiled.
Cus brought Rumsshi and Zamasu to sit next to Universe 11.
“Belmod, isn’t Universe 2 here?” Rumsshi asked after sitting down.
“What? Do you like Heles?” Belmod laughed. “Haven’t you pursued her yet?”
“Hmph, why would I pursue her? She’s so dark!” Rumsshi snorted.
“You elephants care about skin color?” Belmod laughed.
“I don’t like coal,” Rumsshi snorted, shaking his trunk.
Belmod: “…”
Coal?
Good thing Heles isn’t here…
Would she shoot you with an arrow if she knew you said this?
“Besides Universe 2, who else isn’t here?” Rumsshi looked around, asking casually.
“Ninth Universe’s Sidra isn’t here yet,” Belmod said. “That guy is late, making us wait!”
“Isn’t Heles coming?” Rumsshi seemed disappointed.
“Who knows?” Belmod shrugged, clearly uninterested in the dark-skinned woman.
“Are we waiting for Universe 9 next?” Rumsshi checked the time, noticing it was almost competition time.
“Probably. If everyone arrives, we can start early,” Belmod nodded.
“We still don’t know the competition format,” Rumsshi looked thoughtfully at the platform below.
“It should be on that platform,” Belmod mused.
In Universe 7, Whis and Merus chatted.
“Merus, did you take Lotan to Cus?” Whis glanced at Cus, not seeing Lotan.
Hearing Whis, Frieza perked up.
Lotan?
That name sounds familiar.
I’ve heard it before!
Who is it?
I remember!
Isn’t he a Saiyan?
That monkey’s name is odd, supposedly due to a naming system glitch.
But why did Whis suddenly mention Lotan?
Frieza listened closely, eyeing Majin Buu, examining him.
Majin Buu kept nodding off.
I was woken up before I finished sleeping…
I want a good sleep.
“No, Lotan prefers the number six, so he went to Universe 6. Vados was visiting Universe 10, so she took Lotan back to Universe 6,” Merus explained helplessly.
“Oh, that’s quite a twist,” Whis shook his head, not saying more.
Cus heard their conversation and quickly flew over, looking displeased.
“He’ll regret not choosing me,” Cus said calmly.
“Indeed,” Whis agreed.
“Merus, I heard Lotan categorized angel power purity?” Cus asked Merus.
“Yes, according to his calculations, my angel power purity is 41,” Merus replied.
“Mine is about 65,” Cus assessed.
“I’m 64, slightly weaker than Cus,” Whis smiled indifferently.
“What was Lotan’s angel power purity when he was with you?” Cus asked Merus.
“It was 10,” Merus replied.
“Half a year has passed. I wonder how much he improved. I don’t believe Vados taught him better than I could,” Cus laughed.
“The Grand Priest said… Lotan’s angel power purity is now 30,” Merus felt a sting saying this.
Ten more points and he’ll match me.
If a human surpasses me… I’ll be embarrassed.
Embarrassed for us angels.
“What? It’s already 30?” Cus was shocked.
“Amazing,” Whis marveled, slightly surprised.
Frieza listened intently.
But Frieza didn’t understand the angel conversation.
Angel power purity?
Can you convert it to power level for me?
