Dragon Ball: I Will Become an Angel as a Saiyan - Chapter 81
“What?” The Supreme Kai’s face turned pale at the sight of the terrifying scene.
What was that thing? That bubble destroyed a star in an instant? The Supreme Kai’s face twisted in an extreme expression of discomfort.
“Oh my, it’s the Supreme Kai…” Whis greeted politely, breathing a slight sigh of relief.
Just a moment ago, the Supreme Kai nearly got killed by Lord Beerus.
If that had happened, it would have been a tragedy. Lord Beerus would have disappeared as well.
Wait, I recall that Lord Beerus sealed away a Supreme Kai a long time ago. As long as that Supreme Kai remains alive, Lord Beerus shouldn’t disappear.
“Who are you?” The Supreme Kai looked at Whis with vigilance.
“Hello, Supreme Kai. I am Whis, an attendant of Lord Beerus,” Whis said politely, bowing slightly.
“An attendant? Like Kibito is to me… is that right?” The Supreme Kai understood.
Whis: “…”
Your logic is impeccable; I don’t even know how to refute it.
“So, you are also an accomplice of the God of Destruction!” The Supreme Kai glared at Whis. “Is the crisis in this universe all because of you?”
Whis: “???”
“Crisis?” Whis was speechless.
“Am I wrong?” The Supreme Kai got angrier. “You destroyed the peace of the universe!”
Whis: “…”
Whis was at a loss for words.
“Am I right?” The Supreme Kai huffed, glaring at Whis.
“Oh my, is there some misunderstanding, Supreme Kai?” Whis chuckled, quickly responding, “A universe needs both creation and destruction. To ensure its long-term survival, the best way is to maintain balance.”
“Balance in the universe? What does that mean?” The Supreme Kai was confused, never having heard such a concept.
“Let me give you a simple example. Let’s compare the vast universe to a single planet,” Whis explained.
“Go on,” the Supreme Kai decided to listen before punishing him. “If your explanation isn’t good, I don’t mind breaking you.”
Whis: “…”
“Consider this planet, which we call the universe. If humans continuously multiply unchecked, what do you think will happen?” Whis pointed out the crux of the issue.
“Naturally, humans will live in peace and prosperity, developing towards a better future. What could go wrong?” The Supreme Kai responded confidently.
Whis was speechless for a moment.
After three seconds of silence.
“Doesn’t the Supreme Kai think that unchecked human population growth would throw the planet out of balance?” Whis sighed and patiently explained.
“If a planet has countless ants, would it lose balance because of them?” The Supreme Kai retorted.
Whis was at a loss for words.
“My point is, if a planet has limited resources, and one day these resources are depleted, what would happen to the inhabitants?” Whis took a deep breath and asked.
“What are you trying to say?” The Supreme Kai was puzzled, his brow furrowed.
“If, at that point, some resource-consuming entities were destroyed, wouldn’t the planet develop better?” Whis explained.
“So, you’re justifying your crimes?” The Supreme Kai shouted angrily.
Whis: “…”
Whis felt heartbroken at that moment.
Is that what I meant?
At that moment, Whis realized the true meaning of miscommunication.
This Supreme Kai… seems ignorant of everything.
“Enough talk! Accept divine punishment!” The Supreme Kai shouted, raising his hands towards Whis.
Whis: “…”
Whis was speechless.
“You must pay for your crimes!” The Supreme Kai said, not hesitating, as divine energy surged from his hands.
The powerful divine energy quickly enveloped Whis.
And then… nothing happened.
Whis didn’t move, releasing a tiny bit of his angelic power, neutralizing the Supreme Kai’s energy.
“What? You’re unharmed?” The Supreme Kai’s face changed multiple times, quickly leaping back to put distance between him and Whis.
“Didn’t your master, the Grand Supreme Kai, teach you about these things?” Whis asked calmly.
The Supreme Kai didn’t respond, noticing Beerus moving and glancing out the window.
Seeing Beerus still sleeping as if nothing had happened, the Supreme Kai was stunned, eyes wide in disbelief.
This God of Destruction is unharmed?
Still sleeping?
The Supreme Kai felt an overwhelming sense of helplessness.
It seems the God of Destruction’s power is beyond my imagination.
“I’ll be back!” The Supreme Kai hesitated briefly, then shouted and started to vanish.
“Supreme Kai, please wait a moment.” Whis snapped his fingers.
“Snap!”
The Supreme Kai’s Instant Transmission was forcibly interrupted.
The Supreme Kai was stunned, never expecting his Instant Transmission to fail.
“Swish!”
Whis appeared beside the Supreme Kai.
“You… you… stay away from me!” The Supreme Kai was terrified.
Whis: “…”
Am I that scary?
I’m just an angel.
“Supreme Kai, I mean no harm…” Whis felt like crying.
The Supreme Kai remained wary, fearing an attack.
This guy is no ordinary being.
I feel I can’t beat him.
“What… what do you want?” The Supreme Kai asked nervously.
“Supreme Kai, do you not know the Zeno?” Whis said, projecting an image from his staff.
The figure in the projection was the Zeno.
“Zeno?” The Supreme Kai was puzzled, hearing the name for the first time.
Then, the Supreme Kai looked at the projected Zeno.
“Who is this figurine? Is this the Zeno you mentioned?” The Supreme Kai asked casually.
Whis: “…”
Figurine?
You’re calling the Zeno a figurine?
This is bad!
If the Zeno finds out, our Seventh Universe might be erased by him.
At that moment, Whis regretted stopping the Supreme Kai from leaving.
You wanted to leave; I should have let you go.
Why did I interrupt your Instant Transmission?
