- Chapter 93 - The Birth of a New Universe in the Void Realm
“Bang! Bang! Bang!”
Next, Broly unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks on Mules.
Mules didn’t seem to resist, letting Broly’s attacks hit him.
In the next moment, Broly grabbed Mules’ right leg with his left hand and his left leg with his right hand.
“Oh no…” Merus couldn’t help but laugh and cry.
Are you really going to try to tear Mules apart?
Do you think everyone can be torn in half like this?
Broly exerted his strength.
And then, nothing happened.
Mules’ body didn’t budge.
“What? Is that your move? Trying to tear me in half?” Mules chuckled mockingly.
Broly looked confused, blinking his eyes in astonishment at Mules.
Why can’t I tear this guy apart?
“Bang!”
Mules kicked Broly in the face.
Broly screamed as his body was sent flying backward.
Mules quickly caught up, delivering a powerful kick to Broly.
Broly flew upward.
“Hmph, challenging a God of Destruction? You’re asking for death!” Mules said disdainfully, his body flickering, and he appeared above Broly.
“Bang!”
Mules slammed his palm into Broly’s chest.
Broly’s body plummeted downward.
“Swish!”
Mules moved again, appearing below Broly, and kicked him once more.
“Bang!”
Broly was kicked back into the air.
“Bang! Bang! Bang!”
Mules attacked rapidly, his body a blur of red light.
Broly cried out in pain.
After a minute.
Mules grabbed Broly’s tail, slowly landing in front of Ren and Merus.
Broly had reverted to his normal state, looking barely alive.
Although Broly was known as the Legendary Super Saiyan, his current strength was vastly different from Mules’.
“Daring to challenge me, Mules, I’ll destroy him today!” Mules said, a purple-red destructive energy forming in his right hand, aiming at Broly.
“Wait!” Merus couldn’t stand it anymore and spoke up.
“Oh? Don’t worry, after I destroy this little monkey, it’ll be your turn,” Mules said with a mocking smile, looking at Merus. “This is the first time a human has ever dared to attack me since I became a God of Destruction.”
“I am Apprentice Angel Merus!” Merus revealed his identity.
Mules paused, staring at Merus in surprise.
After a few seconds of silence.
“Apprentice Angel?” Mules scrutinized Merus.
“Yes,” Merus nodded.
“Really?” Mules looked skeptical.
“Swish!”
Merus let out a bit of his angelic power.
“Bang!”
A faint blue halo appeared around Merus’ neck.
At the same time, Merus’ skin turned a light blue.
“Oh?” Mules widened his eyes.
“Do you believe me now, Lord Mules?” Merus asked.
Mules pondered, slowly retracting his destructive energy and nodding, realizing, “So you’re an apprentice angel. No wonder you’re here in the Void Realm. It makes sense.”
However, although Mules retracted his energy, he didn’t let go of Broly.
“Is this guy your candidate for God of Destruction?” Mules asked, glancing at Broly with a smile.
Merus: “…”
Merus remained silent.
He’s not my candidate for God of Destruction; he’s Ren’s.
“Then, is that little guy with the tail your candidate for Supreme Kai?” Mules pointed at Ren and smiled.
Merus had no choice but to nod.
“Your candidate for God of Destruction isn’t very impressive!” Mules said disdainfully, slamming his palm into Broly’s back.
Broly groaned, spitting blood, and flew towards Merus.
Merus frowned, raising his hand to catch the falling Broly.
Ren’s eyes flashed with a hint of killing intent, his eyes narrowing.
Ren quickly checked Broly’s condition.
Broly was on the brink of death.
It was a miracle he hadn’t been killed outright by Mules’ powerful attacks.
Of course, Ren knew Mules was playing around.
“Swish!”
Ren took a Senzu Bean from his pocket and put it in Broly’s mouth.
Ren had left Earth in a hurry, and Bulma hadn’t finished making his storage ring.
But that didn’t mean Ren didn’t bring any Senzu Beans.
He only brought a few, thinking they would be enough.
After all, Ren could heal himself, and the Senzu Beans were for critical moments.
“Broly, eat this,” Ren said to the dying Broly.
Broly weakly blinked, understanding, and struggled to chew the Senzu Bean.
“Bang!”
Broly’s eyes widened, his body quickly recovering.
Broly looked warily at Mules, his eyes filled with fighting spirit.
“Oh? What did you give him?” Mules asked, looking at Ren. “It looks like an ordinary bean, but it can instantly bring him back to life.”
“It’s nothing,” Ren replied calmly.
“He was lucky not to die. He provoked me first,” Mules said, laughing. “Apprentice Angel, I suggest you find another candidate for God of Destruction. This one isn’t good enough.”
Merus remained silent.
“By the way, have you seen anyone who looks like me or a robot similar to Mosco?” Mules asked. “He’s my son. He seems to have come to Universe 7.”
“No, I haven’t,” Merus replied, reverting to his Galactic Patrol uniform.
“If you see him, let me know,” Mules said, turning and flying towards Mosco.
When Mules reached Mosco.
“Bang!”
Mosco’s abdomen door opened.
Mules flew into Mosco.
“Swish!”
Mosco’s figure flickered, appearing behind Ren and Merus.
Merus frowned.
“Bang!”
Mosco’s mechanical fist punched Broly, sending him flying.
“Jigu Jigu!”
Mosco made strange noises.
“Bang!”
Mosco’s abdomen door opened again.
Mules poked his head out, smiling smugly, and said to Merus, “I still think you should find another candidate for God of Destruction. This one isn’t good enough! I’m doing this for your own good! If he gets bullied by other Gods of Destruction, it won’t be easy to find another candidate.”
After saying this, Mules closed the door.
“Jigu Jigu Jigu!”
Mosco’s mechanical voice echoed.
Although Ren couldn’t understand, it was clear Mosco was mocking and laughing.
Mosco’s body glowed with purple-red light, turning into a beam of light and quickly disappearing.
Ren flew to Broly’s side, covering him with angelic power.
After healing with angelic power, Broly’s body gradually recovered.
Broly looked dazed.
At this moment, Broly’s young heart was deeply shaken.
Broly couldn’t believe such powerful beings existed in the world.
“Broly, you’re still young. Don’t be discouraged. When you grow up, you’ll fight back,” Ren said, patting Broly’s shoulder.
“I… can do it?” Broly lacked confidence.
“You’re the Legendary Super Saiyan, the strongest warrior in the universe. When you grow up, no one will be your match,” Ren said seriously.
Broly’s eyes sparkled.
“One day, he’ll regret hitting you, the Legendary Super Saiyan,” Ren said, patting Broly’s shoulders.
“I want to grow up!” Broly nodded vigorously.
“Keep going. I believe in you!” Ren encouraged again.
Broly’s eyes grew moist.
Despite his bravery, Broly was still just a 5-year-old child.
Merus sighed helplessly, not expecting Mosco to be so ruthless.
Have Gods of Destruction become so dishonorable?
If it weren’t for my special identity, he might have wiped us out.
“Merus, what’s going on?” Ren asked, looking at Merus.
“What?” Merus asked.
“Why didn’t he give you, an apprentice angel, any respect?” Ren asked.
“Well…” Merus lowered his head, his voice heavy. “I’m just an apprentice angel, and angels are usually uninvolved in conflicts. It’s not really disrespect… If I hadn’t revealed my identity, he might have killed all three of us.”
Ren looked at Merus thoughtfully.
That seems reasonable.
In the Dragon Ball Super manga, Ren remembered that Beerus didn’t show much respect for Merus either.
Beerus casually called Merus “kid” and asked if he learned any cooking in the lower realm.
Of course, Beerus didn’t mean any harm to Merus.
But now, the God of Destruction from Universe 3, Mosco, seemed malicious.
Can we tolerate this?
Merus, the apprentice angel, could.
But Ren couldn’t.
Ren took note of this.
Earlier, Ren weighed the situation carefully.
Even if Ren entered the robot to fight Mules, the chances of winning were slim.
The gap is too wide.
There’s no need to challenge a true God of Destruction now.
But Ren believed that with a few more years of training, he might not lose to the weakest God of Destruction.
By then, Broly would also have grown stronger.
“Let’s go,” Merus suggested.
“Alright,” Ren agreed.
The priority now is to get to Universe 6 and learn Ultra Instinct from Vados.
And have Champa train Broly well.
Increasing our strength is the key.
Revenge can wait.
On the way back to the spaceship, Merus hesitated.
“Just say what you need to say,” Ren noticed.
“Ren, to become a true angel, you need a peaceful heart. You know this better than me,” Merus advised. “I know what Mosco did upset you.”
”
You’re wrong, Merus,” Ren shook his head.
Merus was puzzled.
“Although I want to become a true angel, it doesn’t mean I won’t love and hate,” Ren said. “I remember those who treat me well, like you, Merus.”
Merus blushed slightly.
“I also remember those who hurt Broly,” Ren added.
“Me too,” Broly nodded.
Merus was speechless.
I feel like you’re leading me astray.
The three returned to the spaceship.
The spaceship resumed its journey through the Void Realm.
A few days passed.
Ren noticed a large dark area outside the spaceship’s window, dotted with starlight.
“Are we about to leave the Void Realm?” Ren asked.
“Hmm?” Merus turned, looking surprised.
“What’s wrong?” Ren asked.
“That area seems unusual…” Merus shook his head, muttering.
“What do you mean?” Ren asked.
“It doesn’t seem to belong to the twelve universes,” Merus said.
“Oh? Is it a newly born universe?” Ren asked.
“I’m not sure,” Merus shook his head again.
“Let’s check it out,” Ren suggested.
Merus hesitated but agreed, steering the spaceship.
The spaceship changed direction, heading towards the starlit area.
After ten minutes, the spaceship entered the strange starfield.
The spaceship stopped.
The hatch opened.
Ren, Merus, and Broly flew out.
Ren looked around, noting the starfield was small.
It couldn’t even be called a starfield, as it had few stars.
It seemed smaller than the solar system.
At the center was a large burning star, emitting heat.
Far from the star, a pure white planet orbited slowly.
“A small universe like this exists,” Ren remarked.
“Indeed,” Merus agreed.
But then, Merus noticed something, glancing at the white planet.
Ren followed his gaze to the white planet.
“Strange!” Merus was surprised, staring at the white planet.
“What’s wrong?” Ren asked.
“I sensed a flicker of angelic power from that planet,” Merus said. “Could an angel be born in such a small space?”
“Let’s check it out,” Ren suggested.
“You’re right,” Merus agreed.
The three flew towards the white planet.
A few minutes later.
They landed on the white planet.
The planet seemed small, barely larger than the moon, with a smooth, jade-like surface.
The whole planet was spotless, a white world.
It felt like stepping into a different dimension, like the Room of Spirit and Time.
But here, time flowed normally.
“A strange place,” Ren mused.
“Indeed… I sensed angelic power here, but now it’s gone,” Merus said, pointing.
“How are angels born?” Ren asked. “Not from your parents?”
Merus: “…”
Merus didn’t know how to respond.
After a few seconds of silence.
“Angels are usually formed from the essence of the universe,” Merus explained.
“Oh?” Ren looked Merus over.
“Our bodies are made of angelic power,” Merus added.
“This universe is amazing,” Ren marveled.
Broly, half-understanding, circled Merus as if wanting to knock him out and study him.
“But my sisters, Whis, and I were formed by our parents’ angelic power,” Merus said.
“And the process?” Ren asked.
“The process?” Merus was puzzled. “They just placed their hands together, gathered angelic power, and we were born.”
“That simple?” Ren asked, disappointed. “I thought it was more complex.”
“Don’t impose human reproduction ideas on us angels,” Merus sighed.
“I didn’t say anything. You misunderstood,” Ren corrected.
Merus was speechless.
“So, if I want to have children with a female angel, just place our hands together?” Ren asked.
Merus: “…”
“You’re only 5… Do Saiyans learn this early?” Merus laughed and cried.
“Yeah,” Ren nodded.
Merus was speechless.
“Answer, yes or no?” Broly said.
Merus silently wiped sweat, nodding reluctantly.
“Yes or no?” Broly repeated.
“Yes, yes, yes!” Merus nodded repeatedly.
“One ‘yes’ is enough,” Broly corrected.
Merus turned to leave.
I’m defeated by these two Saiyans.
I should leave quickly.
Ren didn’t rush to leave, inspecting the white planet but finding nothing unusual.
Broly followed, imitating Ren’s actions.
“Let’s go,” Ren rose into the air.
Broly smiled, mimicking tearing the planet.
Apparently, not tearing Mules left him unsatisfied.
Ren: “…”
“Don’t be rough. This beautiful planet would be a pity to destroy,” Ren scolded.
“Uh…” Broly scratched his head.
“Let’s go,” Ren said, flying into the sky.
Broly followed.
The three returned to the spaceship.
The spaceship departed, quickly leaving the area and re-entering the Void Realm.
However, shortly after they left.
On the white planet, layers of star-like angelic power appeared.
The angelic power quickly condensed, forming a stunningly beautiful woman.
The woman had long silver hair, and her figure and face were perfectly proportioned.
Her skin was as pure as snow, with a faint golden hue.
“Just now…” The woman whispered, looking towards the distant spaceship.
But as she spoke, the angelic power around her dissipated.
“Swish!”
The woman’s body vanished from the white planet.
…
Void Realm.
The spaceship traveled rapidly through the boundless chaos.
A few more days passed.
Ren suddenly saw a vast starfield ahead, filled with brilliant stars.
Galaxies intertwined, creating a beautiful scene.
“We’ve reached the tenth… sixth universe…” Merus almost slipped.
Ren: “???”
“Is it the tenth or sixth universe?” Ren asked.
“It’s the sixth universe… I’m sure…” Merus wiped his sweat.
I shouldn’t lie.
“Really?” Ren was skeptical.
“Yes,” Merus nodded firmly.
I must keep this lie going.
“I believe you,” Ren said, no longer doubting.
“How long until we reach the God of Destruction’s realm?” Ren asked.
“At least 20 more days,” Merus replied.
“That long…” Ren sighed.
“This is the fastest Galactic Patrol ship. A Saiyan ship would take a year or two,” Merus emphasized.
Saiyan technology isn’t as advanced as the Galactic Patrol’s.
“We’ll wait patiently,” Ren said.
In 20 days, I’ll see Vados.
Great!
Vados, I came here because of your drawings. Do you know how hard it was?
I’ve gone through so much to find you.
I can’t wait to see you.
The spaceship left a trail of light as it sped through space.
Days passed.
…
Universe 10, Ramushi Planet.
This was the realm of the God of Destruction, Ramushi.
Typically, the God of Destruction’s realm was named after them.
Universe 10’s God of Destruction was Ramushi, so it was called Ramushi Planet.
Ramushi was a pink elephant with a long trunk and a strong build.
Angel Cus stood on Ramushi Planet, holding her staff, watching Ren on the spaceship.
So, this boy developed angelic power?
He looks about five or six.
But why did he reject Universe 10?
Why insist on Universe 6?
Hehe, when he arrives, I’ll tell him this is Universe 6.
Once he’s settled, I’ll tell him the truth.
I wonder how he’ll react?
Cus smiled.
“Cus, why are you smiling?” Ramushi asked, approaching Cus.
“Ramushi-sama, there’s something I need to tell you,” Cus said.
“What is it?” Ramushi asked.
“Someone is coming here. You need to tell them this is…” Cus began but then turned, looking in another direction.
In the sky, a brilliant streak of light shone.
“Swish!”
Someone landed near Cus.
Seeing who it was, Cus’ eyes widened in surprise.
“Vados? Why are you here?” Cus asked, shocked.
“Just bored, wandering around,” Vados smiled, glancing at Cus. “Am I not welcome?”
“Usually, yes, but today is special,” Cus said honestly.
Why come now?
Of all times.
“Is it because you’re on your period?” Vados joked.
Cus: “…”
Cus didn’t want to talk.
“Is that how you chat?” Cus rolled her eyes, annoyed.
“Oops, my bad…” Vados bowed.
“Alright, since you’re here… I’ll take you to that place I mentioned for some great food,” Cus smiled.
“Great! I came for the food,” Vados nodded.
“But first, I need to wait for someone,” Cus said. “You can go ahead.”
“Waiting? For an important guest?” Vados asked.
“Yes,” Cus smiled.
“Then I’ll wait with you,” Vados said seriously.
Cus: “…”
Ramushi, nearby, used his trunk to water plants, feeling bored.
Hearing the conversation, Ramushi approached, asking, “Hey, Vados, where’s Champa? Didn’t he come with you?”
“No, Ramushi-sama,” Vados smiled at Ramushi.
“Boring,” Ramushi sighed, then asked Cus, “What important guest are you waiting for?”
“Not important anymore,” Cus replied.
Ramushi: “???”
Vados: “???”
“Forget it. You talk. I’m going to work,” Ramushi wasn’t interested.
Ramushi’s body glowed with purple-red light.
“Swish!”
Ramushi turned into a beam of light and disappeared.
Watching Ramushi leave, Vados looked thoughtful, then turned to Cus, her eyes sparkling. “Cus, who’s the important guest?”
“You’ll know in two hours,” Cus thought quickly, trying to figure out how to keep her lie.
It’s hard to cover this up.
Especially with Vados here
.
If it were another angel, it’d be easier.
Cus was worried.
I hope Vados leaves.
Otherwise, I’ll drag Merus into this.
“Two hours? That’s long…” Vados sighed, stretching. “Alright, I’ll get some food.”
“Good,” Cus waited for Vados’ response, her staff showing a planet. “This planet has delicious fruit.”
“Got it. I’ll eat there while waiting,” Vados nodded, her staff tapping the ground.
“Bang!”
Vados’ body glowed like stars.
“Swish!”
Vados turned into a light and flew in the direction Ramushi had gone, soon disappearing.
Watching Vados leave, Cus felt relieved.
Finally gone.
Great.
Wait…
Did I overlook something?
Vados is heading in the same direction as Merus.
Will they meet halfway?
This is bad.
Thinking quickly, Cus used her staff to contact Merus.
