Dragon Ball: I Will Become an Angel as a Saiyan - Chapter 95
Vados was savoring the coconut juice, having placed her staff in the sand beside her.
At this moment, Ren noticed Vados’ staff’s crystal ball flashing continuously.
“Vados, your staff is flashing. Is someone calling?” Ren asked curiously as he approached.
“It’s not important,” Vados replied, focused on enjoying her coconut juice, not caring who was calling.
“Should I answer it for you?” Ren offered, inspecting the crystal ball on the staff.
Ren had drunk plenty of coconut juice in his previous life, so this wasn’t particularly novel for him.
“Oh my, you might not be able to,” Vados said between sips of juice.
“Let me try,” Ren said, picking up Vados’ staff from the sand and examining it closely.
Ren then channeled his angelic power through his hand and pointed at the crystal ball on the staff.
“Zap!”
In an instant, a video image appeared in the crystal ball.
Ren saw Cus inside the crystal ball.
Cus: “???”
Cus was visibly surprised, not expecting Ren to answer the call.
“Hello,” Ren waved at Cus.
“Oh my, you must be Ren, right?” Cus asked, looking at Ren.
“That’s me,” Ren nodded.
“Where’s Vados?” Cus asked.
“Over there, enjoying some fruit,” Ren said, gesturing towards Vados.
Cus glanced in that direction and was momentarily speechless.
A brief silence ensued.
“So, are you planning to go to Universe 6 with Vados?” Cus asked directly.
“Yes, that’s the plan,” Ren admitted.
“Wouldn’t staying in Universe 10 be good? What do you think I lack compared to Vados?” Cus said, stepping back to show off her figure and flashing a cute smile.
“Pretty lady… you’re making this hard for me…” Ren scratched his head.
“What’s hard about it? Choosing between me and Vados is just a matter of a word,” Cus smiled. “Look at Vados, the way she eats is so ungraceful.”
Ren looked over at Vados again, seeing her tilt her head back to drink from a coconut, with juice spilling down her chin and onto her clothes.
“Isn’t it ungraceful?” Cus laughed.
Ren swallowed hard.
How are you drinking coconut juice?
You’re wasting it!
“Hey, I’m talking to you,” Cus noticed Ren’s dazed expression and called out.
“Yes, yes, it’s quite ungraceful,” Ren nodded, humoring her.
“So, stay in Universe 10,” Cus suggested.
“But I like her this way,” Ren added.
Cus became a bit angry, her chest rising and falling with her breaths.
What do I lack compared to Vados?
“How about this, pretty lady?” Ren had an idea.
“Tell me,” Cus batted her long eyelashes.
“I’ll train with Vados for a while, then come to you. I think this way I can grow faster,” Ren grinned.
“Oh my, that’s a nice idea, but you can only choose one!” Cus was not fooled and promptly rejected Ren’s proposal.
“I don’t care, it’s decided. I’ll come to you when I hit a bottleneck in my training, pretty lady!” Ren said, channeling his angelic power to the crystal ball and ending the call.
Cus held her staff, stunned for a moment.
Why do I feel like I owe you something?
You’ll come to me when you hit a bottleneck?
If you chose Vados, why come to me?
Cus decided that even if Ren came looking for her, she wouldn’t guide him!
Serves you right for not choosing me!
“Oh my, Ren’s acting skills are impressive. Holding my staff and talking to himself for so long,” Vados laughed as she walked over, white coconut juice still on her lips.
Ren didn’t hurry to wipe it off, staring at Vados, feeling like he was looking at a scene from an adult comic from his previous life.
“What did you say?” Ren asked.
“Who was calling me just now?” Vados asked.
“It should be the angel from Universe 10,” Ren answered.
“Really?” Vados didn’t press further, examining her staff and finding the call record with Cus.
Vados looked at the staff, then at Ren, her bright eyes showing a hint of surprise.
“Oh my, you really can communicate through the staff?” Vados asked.
“Yes,” Ren nodded.
“Can you see Cus on the other side?” Vados asked again.
“She’s quite cute,” Ren commented.
Vados: “…”
“You can really see? Oh my, now I understand why the Grand Priest wants you to train hard. Maybe you can truly become an angel,” Vados said.
“I’ll work hard,” Ren nodded firmly.
“Let’s pack some of these fruits and head back,” Vados suggested.
“Sure,” Ren agreed, casually asking, “Doesn’t Universe 6 have these fruits?”
“It probably does, but they’re hard to find. Even for me, it takes a lot of effort to search,” Vados explained.
“I’ll find them when I have time. I love watching you drink coconut juice,” Ren said thoughtfully.
Vados: “???”
Is there something special about the way I drink coconut juice?
Isn’t this how everyone drinks it?
“You call this coconut juice?” Vados asked.
“Just a random name, don’t mind the details,” Ren replied.
“Coconut juice, not bad. Let’s call it that from now on,” Vados smiled and nodded.
“Where’s Broly?” Ren suddenly realized Broly was missing, leaving only the robot standing there dazed.
“He was around just now. Maybe something caught his attention, and he wandered off?” Vados guessed.
Ren pointed at the robot, controlling it to fly up with Vados, searching for Broly.
In a distant forest, Ren and Vados spotted Broly.
Besides Broly, there was also a girl.
To be precise, a little girl.
The girl was entirely green, wearing a light purple bodysuit, with short silver hair, looking cute and pretty.
Ren suddenly felt the girl seemed familiar like he’d seen her somewhere before.
In the forest.
In front of the girl, Broly smashed a rock to pieces with a punch, grinning foolishly.
“Amazing, amazing,” the girl clapped excitedly.
Broly smiled even more foolishly, scratching his head, blushing.
Then, Broly did a graceful backflip, landing steadily.
“You’re awesome!” the girl cheered more excitedly.
“Hehe!” Broly was a bit embarrassed.
“I’m Cheelai. What’s your name?” the girl asked, tilting her head.
“Broly,” Broly scratched his head, shy.
“Are you an alien? You’re so strong,” the girl said, touching Broly’s arm. “So muscular, no wonder you can smash rocks easily.”
“I can tear mountains,” Broly pointed at a nearby mountain.
Ren: “…”
“He used to speak only six words. Now he’s more mature seeing a pretty girl,” Ren commented.
“Looks like your future God of Destruction has a crush on this girl,” Vados nodded. “He’s showing off his strength.”
“My main worry is… he might lose his mind and tear the girl in half…” Ren sighed.
Vados: “…”
A brief silence.
“So, the son of Universe 3’s God of Destruction Mosco was torn in half by Broly?” Vados asked, amused.
“Later, with Merus’s help, we went to the afterlife and found the guy named Muse. He was causing a ruckus in line and was thrown into the soul cleansing machine by King Yemma,” Ren explained.
Vados was speechless.
“You went to the afterlife to save him?” Vados asked.
“No, we wanted to erase his memory to avoid Mosco’s investigation,” Ren replied.
Vados chose to remain silent.
“Boom!”
Broly punched a nearby rocky hill, splitting it.
Broly grabbed the cracked rock with both hands and tore it apart.
“Hehe!” Broly smiled foolishly at Cheelai.
“Amazing, amazing!” Cheelai jumped up and down excitedly.
“I’ve even torn a moon!” Broly boasted.
“Can a moon be torn apart?” Cheelai pointed at a crescent moon in the sky.
Broly nodded firmly, energy surging, preparing to fly up and tear the moon.
“Wait… don’t tear that,” Cheelai hurriedly stopped him.
Broly paused.
“Such a beautiful moon, it would be a pity to tear it apart,” Cheelai persuaded.
“Oh!” Broly nodded thoughtfully.
“Hey, Broly, will you come and marry me when you grow up?” Cheelai asked softly, blushing and twirling her foot in the dirt.
“Marry you… can I eat you?” Broly scratched his head, “You look delicious.”
“He’s speaking ten words now,” Ren commented.
Vados: “…”
Is that the point?
Ren suddenly realized.
Isn’t Cheelai from Universe 7?
But this is Universe 10.
That’s strange.
Never mind, it doesn’t matter.
Maybe she’ll end up in Universe 7 someday.
Also, Broly, why are you like Kakarot?
Do you think marrying means bringing her home to eat?
Seems like it…
“Broly, we’re leaving,” Ren said suddenly.
“Uh…” Broly looked up and saw Ren and Vados above.
“Wow, they can fly… are they your friends?” Cheelai asked curiously.
Broly nodded firmly, “I can fly too.”
Broly slowly levitated.
“Amazing, amazing, Broly, you’re the best,” Cheelai clapped happily.
“Time
to go,” Broly said reluctantly.
“Remember to come back and marry me,” Cheelai reminded him.
“Mm,” Broly nodded, indicating he understood.
Broly then flew up, joining Ren.
“Not planning to stay with this girl for a peaceful life?” Ren asked, smiling.
Broly shook his head decisively.
“Oh? Why?” Ren was puzzled.
“Follow you, revenge!” Broly answered firmly.
Ren sighed.
Broly hasn’t forgotten being tormented by Mosco.
“Then let’s go. When you’re stronger, come back for her,” Ren patted Broly’s shoulder.
Broly nodded, looking one last time at the green-skinned girl below.
With a determined expression, Broly turned and entered the robot.
“Then… let’s return to Universe 6,” Vados suggested.
“Zap!”
Ren immediately clung to Vados’s back, holding her tightly from behind.
Vados: “…”
You’re really familiar with this move.
“Swish!”
Vados’s staff tapped the air, emitting a star-like glow, enveloping Ren and the robot.
Before leaving, Vados collected several more coconuts into her dimensional space.
“Whoosh!”
Vados, with Ren and Broly, transformed into a brilliant streak of light, swiftly leaving the purple planet and entering the vast cosmos.
“Vados, are there high-tech scientists in Universe 6?” Ren asked.
“Yes,” Vados nodded, “Why?”
“This robot looks too much like the God of Destruction from Universe 3. I want a scientist to modify it,” Ren explained, adding before Vados could respond, “I know an excellent scientist, but he’s in Universe 7.”
“Universe 7?” Vados pondered, “Universe 6 and Universe 7 are twin universes, so the scientist you know should have a counterpart in Universe 6.”
“Does Universe 6 have a planet called Earth?” Ren asked.
“Earth? Let me check,” Vados said, using her staff to search for Earth in Universe 6, “The scientist you mentioned is from Earth in Universe 7?”
“Yes,” Ren nodded.
After about ten seconds, Vados found Earth in Universe 6.
However, Vados’s expression turned complicated upon seeing its condition.
“Oh my… what a pity. Earth in Universe 6 is destroyed,” Vados sighed, “Due to a human war with nuclear weapons, the planet is now barren with no life, let alone humans or scientists.”
“Let’s go to Earth in Universe 7,” Ren suggested.
Vados: “…”
Vados wasn’t keen on the idea.
Going to Universe 7 would take hours to return to Universe 6.
“Don’t you love good food? Universe 7’s Earth has excellent cuisine. You’ll love it,” Ren whispered to Vados.
“Really?” Vados’s eyes lit up with joy.
“Really! I’ve been to Earth and enjoyed its food. It’s delicious,” Ren smiled.
“Mm, mm, mm,” Broly nodded enthusiastically.
Seeing Broly’s reaction, Vados decided to visit Earth.
“Universe 6 and Universe 7 are twin universes?” Ren asked.
“Yes,” Vados nodded, her ponytail brushing against Ren’s face.
Ren didn’t mind, enjoying the fresh scent of Vados’s hair.
Smells so good.
“Can we switch the Earths? That way, we won’t have to travel far for food,” Ren suggested.
Vados’s eyes sparkled.
“Oh my, that’s a great idea,” Vados agreed.
“Is it possible?” Ren asked.
“I’m afraid not. Even if I can switch the planets, the people, animals, and life on them might die instantly,” Vados shook her head, looking serious, “The planet’s departure from its original orbit could cause extreme cold or heat, leading to their extinction…”
“No way?” Ren asked.
“Let’s visit Earth first. If the food is really good, there will be a way,” Vados smiled, her eyes twinkling mischievously.
…
Universe 7, outer space.
Universe 3’s God of Destruction Mosco had been traveling through Universe 7 for a long time, asking many people but still unable to find his son.
“Creak…”
Mosco stopped suddenly in space.
“Beep beep beep…” Mosco uttered strange mechanical sounds.
They shouldn’t be further away based on Luke and Muse’s speed.
They should be in this galaxy.
Why haven’t I seen them?
Could something have happened?
Mosco’s face changed slightly at the thought.
But Mosco quickly shook his head, dismissing the idea.
Luke can boost Muse’s power 50 times. I haven’t seen anyone capable of defeating them.
Only that trainee Angel’s team could match Muse and Luke.
But that guy is a trainee angel, not likely to target my son.
My son would reveal his identity.
And there wouldn’t be any conflict of interest between them.
So they wouldn’t harm my son.
Besides, he’s a trainee angel, and angels are always gentle.
Wait…
The trainee angel’s assistant, God of Destruction and Kai…
They wouldn’t harm my son, would they?
No, no…
Mosco shook his head again.
But the more he denied it, the more uneasy he felt.
Mosco had searched Universe 7 for a month and still found nothing.
I should ask my angel, Campari.
Mosco took out a communicator and contacted Universe 3’s angel, Campari.
“Beep beep… beep beep beep!” Mosco voiced his concerns to Campari.
“Muse is missing? Okay, I’ll look into it,” Campari pretended to be surprised, then patted his chest to reassure Mosco, “Don’t worry, I don’t think it’s serious.”
“Beep? Beep beep beep?” Mosco asked.
“Killed? Unlikely,” Campari shook his head.
“Beep!” Mosco insisted.
“Okay, I’ll investigate right away. Please wait,” Campari replied.
After ending the call, Campari carefully investigated and saw Broly torn Muse in half.
Campari also detailed the events in the afterlife, seeing Muse being sent to the soul cleansing machine by King Yemma.
Campari sighed, thinking hard about what to say, then contacted Mosco again.
“Beep?” Mosco asked nervously.
“Good news and bad news… Which one do you want first?” Campari asked.
“Beep beep!” Mosco responded.
“The bad news is… you were right, Muse is dead,” Campari admitted.
“Boom!”
Mosco’s abdomen hatch opened, and Mulu’s head emerged, grabbing the communicator and shouting, “Campari, tell me, how did he die?”
“It’s better if you don’t know,” Campari sighed.
“Speak!” Mulu clenched his fists, trembling.
“I don’t know. It didn’t show up here, maybe a signal blind spot,” Campari lied.
“Who are you fooling? Your staff has no blind spots!” Mulu didn’t believe it, shouting.
“Yes, sometimes angelic power can’t reach certain areas, so there are blind spots,” Campari weakly explained.
“Hmph, was it that trainee angel’s subordinate?” Mulu’s face turned cold. “Is that why you’re hiding the truth?”
Campari: “…”
Mulu is too smart!
Did he guess it?
“Trainee angel? Who?” Campari pretended not to know.
“From Universe 7, don’t tell me you don’t know,” Mulu’s voice grew colder.
“You mean Merus? I heard he’s training in Universe 7… but he wouldn’t target Muse,” Campari defended Merus.
“He wouldn’t, but his two subordinates might!” Mulu trembled with anger.
“Two subordinates?” Campari was puzzled.
“Enough, you don’t need to say more!” Mulu yelled.
Campari fell silent.
“You mentioned good news… what is it?” Mulu asked.
“Good news is… Muse has reincarnated,” Campari said calmly.
“Campari, you call that good news? That’s too much!” Mulu shouted, his mind blank.
Reincarnated?
So quickly?
That’s not right.
Only a month, how could he reincarnate?
Given his nature and misdeeds, he should be in hell.
“How did he reincarnate? So soon? He should be in hell!” Mulu yelled.
“Muse cut in line… King Yemma sent him to reincarnate,” Campari explained.
“What?” Mulu’s shout echoed across the galaxy.
“Mulu, my condolences…” Campari sighed.
“Underworld! King Yemma! You’ll pay for this!” Mulu roared, entering Mosco’s body.
“Click!”
Mosco’s hatch closed.
“Whoosh!”
Mosco plunged downward.
“Mosco, calm down. Are you going to cause trouble in the underworld?” Campari advised, “That’s Universe 7, not our Universe 3.”
Mosco remained silent, radiating purple-red energy.
“If you kill a god from another universe, you’ll be punished,” Campari added.
“Beep beep! Beep beep beep beep!”
Mosco’s fury erupted, destroying the galaxy in an instant.
Mosco was enraged but knew Campari was right.
He had supreme authority as a God of Destruction but couldn’t act recklessly.
Even a minor god like King Yemma couldn’t be destroyed without consequence.
“I will investigate and avenge my son!” Mulu clenched his mechanical fists, steam rising from his head.
Mulu suspected the trainee God of Destruction but had no proof.
This would require a secret investigation.
Mulu believed only the trainee God of Destruction had the power to kill his son.
“Just wait, little monkey! It must be you!” Mulu seethed
.
…
Universe 7, outer space.
A star-like streak of light flashed across the cosmos.
Surprisingly, behind this brilliant streak was a massive spaceship.
At this moment, Merus was flying with the spaceship through space.
Merus felt the spaceship was too slow, so he decided to carry it.
“It’s faster this way. In just a few hours, I can see the Galactic Patrol headquarters,” Merus smiled, looking at the distant space station.
“Click!”
Merus suddenly stopped in space.
“I’ll leave it here, let the spaceship return on its own. I need to visit the Sacred World of the Kai and ask about Majin Buu,” Merus murmured, gently pushing the spaceship towards the space station.
Then, Merus transformed into a star-like streak, speeding towards the Sacred World of the Kai.
…
Galactic Patrol headquarters.
Patrol members immediately noticed Merus’s spaceship and approached to greet him.
However, the spaceship was unresponsive.
The patrol members were puzzled, opening the hatch to find it empty.
“Merus, are you here?”
They searched the spaceship.
Of course, they couldn’t find him!
“Have you heard? Merus’s spaceship is back, but he’s not.”
“Could it be… Merus is in trouble?”
The Galactic Patrol members were distressed.
As the most outstanding member, Merus had high regard among the team.
…
Sacred World of the Kai.
The Supreme Kai and Kibito were still vigilantly watching Majin Buu’s seal.
What happened a month ago had gradually faded from their minds.
Now, the Supreme Kai believed the most important thing was to keep an eye on Majin Buu.
Never relax vigilance.
“Today, Majin Buu’s seal is the same… another anxious day is over,” the Supreme Kai sighed.
“Supreme Kai, do you think the legendary Super Saiyan can defeat Majin Buu?” Kibito asked curiously.
“I think it’s possible… I fought Majin Buu, I know his power…” the Supreme Kai mused, “I believe the legendary Super Saiyan would have an edge.”
“It would be great if we could get the legendary Super Saiyan Broly to defeat Majin Buu,” Kibito said excitedly, then shook his head, “But they don’t seem interested in defeating Majin Buu.”
“Find a way to persuade him!” The Supreme Kai paced, looking at the starry sky, “It’s for the sake of the universe’s peace.”
“I think Broly listens to Ren. If we convince Ren, it should be easy,” Kibito suggested.
“But it feels like Merus is their leader,” the Supreme Kai had a different opinion.
