Dragon Ball Xenoverse - Chapter 15
###
“Of course!” Fei Li responded coldly.
“Ahhh! I can’t stand your tone!” Pica shook his head, darting towards Fei Li and delivering a powerful punch.
“Smack.”
Fei Li’s left hand moved slightly, deflecting Pica’s punch. In the instant his fist was redirected, Pica executed a side kick, hitting Fei Li on the shoulder.
Fei Li’s lips curled into a smirk as his energy surged again, pushing Pica back half a meter.
“Whoa, whoa… No way! The fight just started, and you’re already using a quadruple Kaioken? We haven’t even warmed up yet!” Pica exclaimed, watching Fei Li’s red aura with astonishment.
“Six times Kaioken!!”
Fei Li’s originally black hair turned crimson, standing on end due to his powerful aura. The ground beneath him couldn’t withstand his immense pressure, forming a crater around him.
“This is my full power,” Fei Li said coldly, stepping out of the crater.
“In that case, I’ll go all out too! Ah!!” Pica’s muscles slightly bulged, his clothes rustling from his energy.
“Bang, bang, bang!”
Most of the audience’s scouters couldn’t withstand Pica’s immense combat power and exploded.
“How is this possible? His combat power reached forty thousand?!”
“You’ve become so strong,” Fei Li commented icily.
“Don’t think you’re the only one improving; I keep up with the times too!”
As soon as they finished speaking, they clashed fiercely, the battle evenly matched.
“Bang, bang, bang.” Most of the audience only saw two afterimages colliding, unaware that they were exchanging multiple blows each time they collided.
“So strong… Who is that guy?” The audience watched the afterimages on the stage with wide eyes.
Even Alex, who was being treated by medics, and Lucia, standing below the stage, watched the fight intently.
“Death Piercing Cannon (Kamehameha)!!”
Two blue-white energy blasts collided, both Pica and Fei Li creating craters beneath their feet. Fei Li’s aura intensified, and the powerful clash forced most of the audience to shield their eyes, squinting to watch the thrilling match.
“Hah!!” Pica shouted, increasing the power of his Death Piercing Cannon, piercing through Fei Li’s Kamehameha.
“What!!” Fei Li exclaimed, quickly sidestepping. The Death Piercing Cannon grazed his chest, turning the fabric it touched to dust.
“Whew…” Fei Li exhaled, glaring at Pica with eyes that said only one thing: “I must win!”
“Seven times—” Fei Li’s eyes blazed as he shouted, “Kaioken!!”
“What? Are you crazy?!” Pica exclaimed, rushing to stop Fei Li, but Fei Li’s energy blast pushed him back.
Pica crossed his arms to block the intense energy from Fei Li, but then Fei Li appeared in front of him, delivering a powerful blow to Pica’s arms, forcing him back and creating deep grooves in the ground.
“You…” Pica couldn’t finish his sentence, seeing only one word in Fei Li’s eyes: Battle!
“Alright! I’ll go all out!” Pica said, accepting the challenge. Despite his reluctance, his fighting spirit matched Fei Li’s. After all, Saiyans are a warrior race, and only battle excites them.
Pica adjusted his energy to its peak, facing Fei Li.
“Swish,” they clashed again. Pica took a heavy side kick from Fei Li, spinning in the air. Pica reached out, grabbing the ground to slow his momentum.
Seeing this, Fei Li quickly moved in. Pica supported himself with one hand and kicked at Fei Li with both legs. “Bang,” Fei Li crossed his arms, blocking the attack.
Fei Li crouched, sweeping Pica’s wrist, causing Pica to topple over. Fei Li then delivered a fierce elbow to Pica’s stomach, making him double over like a boiled shrimp, vomiting bitterly.
Fei Li kicked Pica towards the edge of the stage. The audience watched with concern, as if silently pleading, “Don’t fall!”
Just before falling off, Pica grabbed the edge of the stage, flipping back to the center, clutching his stomach and coughing.
“Ptooey.”
Pica spat out bloody saliva, looking at Fei Li and saying, “Your body must be reaching its limit. Do you still want to continue?”
“Fight!” Fei Li said, rushing towards Pica, landing punches on him. The force shredded Pica’s combat suit, leaving it tattered.
“Ah!” Pica spread his arms, generating beams of light around him that formed a spherical barrier, repelling Fei Li.
“Huff, huff…”
Both Pica and Fei Li panted heavily, their bodies pushed to the brink by the intense battle.
“Let’s settle this with one final punch!” Pica suggested, both of them reaching their limits.
“Okay.”
“Thud, thud!” They charged at each other, the audience watching with bated breath, anticipating the final blow.
The wind whipped past Pica’s face, the pain making him realize the true sting of the wind.
“Bang!!”
Fei Li’s punch landed on Pica’s face, but Pica stood firm, blood trickling from his mouth, his determined gaze fixed on Fei Li.
“Ah…”
Pica roared, delivering a punch to Fei Li’s face, sending him flying out of the ring. Watching Fei Li fall, Pica smiled and raised his hand to the sky.
“I—WIN!!”
“Ah…” The audience erupted in cheers, thrilled by the spectacular match.
Just as Pica finished speaking, he collapsed unconscious on the stage.
As Pica drifted into unconsciousness, he heard voices around him.
“Seven broken ribs, severe stomach bleeding, both arms fractured, scapula shattered!”
“This side is similar, both arms shattered, five broken ribs.”
So, I’ve sustained such serious injuries… No wonder it hurts so much. This was Pica’s last thought before blacking out completely.
One hour later.
“An unfamiliar ceiling, a pungent smell.” Pica slowly opened his eyes, the blinding light stinging. He tried to lift his arms but couldn’t.
“Doctor! The patient is conscious!” a female voice called out.
“It seems my treatment worked. Though I’m not a trained Namekian healer, it had some effect. How do you feel? Can you speak?” A Namekian doctor in a white coat asked Pica.
“Senzu… Bean… In my pocket… There’s a… Senzu Bean,” Pica said with difficulty.
“Oh! You have such a miraculous item? That’s incredible.” The Namekian doctor retrieved a Senzu Bean from Pica’s waist and fed it to him.
Pica swallowed the bean whole, without even chewing.
“Hmm!” Pica’s eyes snapped open, jumping out of bed and pulling out all the needles. He urgently asked the doctor, “Where’s Fei Li? The one who was brought in with me?”
“Him? He’s being treated in the next room.”
“Thanks.”
Pica quickly ran to the next room.
“Hey, that direction is…” The doctor watched Pica run off, shouting in surprise.
