Dragon Ball Xenoverse - Chapter 22
##
“What is this?” Trunks exclaimed as he looked at the scroll on the table.
Inside the scroll, two figures were clashing ferociously, emitting evil auras. Their power levels were off the charts.
The battle arena was the Tenkaichi Budokai, and the fighters were none other than Goku and Piccolo. This tournament was the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai, where Goku was supposed to emerge victorious, but from the looks of it, Goku might not be able to defeat Piccolo.
“Hmph, hmph!” Goku emitted a black aura, his sclera turned black, while Piccolo was surrounded by a dark purple aura, his eyes blood-red.
In the unseen part of the scroll, two warriors were fighting.
One was a Saiyan with a severed tail—Turles, who had previously attacked Pica. Now, Turles’s body was surrounded by electrical sparks, with his aura jetting from his feet to his head.
The other wore a tight red coat, with tubes running from his collarbones to the back of his neck. His short white hair contrasted with his deep blue skin, and two black lines ran from his eyes down to his neck.
“Not bad! Your strength is truly impressive. I haven’t had such a good fight in a long time!” Turles remarked.
“Hmph, monkeys are always so arrogant!” Mira retorted.
Turles and Mira squared off, their powerful auras blowing away all obstacles around them.
Suddenly, both figures disappeared. In the next moment, their fingers interlocked, and sparks flew as they clashed.
“Boom, boom, boom!”
After separating, their fists and kicks met again in a battle that shook the heavens and earth. Creatures within a 500-meter radius were reduced to dust by their intense auras.
“Turles (Mira)!!” a purple-haired girl and Towa called out to the two fighters in the sky.
“Lisanna! I’m not done yet!” Turles responded to the purple-haired girl.
“Hmph, although our goals differ, we’re both altering history. Let’s stay out of each other’s way,” Towa suggested to Lisanna and Turles.
The four gathered in the air above the Tenkaichi Budokai arena.
“Mira, lend some of your power to enhance Piccolo’s strength,” Lisanna watched as Mira and Towa conjured an irregular energy sphere.
“Turles, you do the same for Goku. Let’s see whose power-up is stronger—yours or Mira’s,” Lisanna suggested with a mischievous smile.
“That’s a good idea,” Turles agreed, glancing at Mira and seeing the fierce battle spirit in his eyes.
“Alright, let’s see who is stronger. Go!” Mira said, tossing his energy sphere toward Piccolo.
“Sure,” Turles shot a golden beam at Goku.
On the arena, Goku and Piccolo both clutched their heads, screaming as their auras erupted uncontrollably.
Goku’s spiky hair stood up like when he became a Super Saiyan, but it remained black, and he was surrounded by a black aura, exuding pure evil.
Piccolo’s muscles bulged, tearing his clothes, and his body was covered with bulging veins and purple sparks.
They fired energy blasts wildly, not caring about the spectators’ safety, their attacks like a Gatling gun.
The scroll’s scene darkened, showing Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, and Master Roshi’s mangled bodies on the ground.
Even Trunks’ mother, Bulma, had a gaping hole in her chest, lying lifeless in the stands, her eyes blank, filled with confusion.
Seeing this, Trunks slammed the table in anger, his eyes tightly shut.
“Damn it!”
“Rintra, go get Lucia and Fei Li. Damn it, most of the senior and intermediate time patrollers are away. We’ll have to send Lucia and Fei Li,” Trunks ordered.
Trunks had no choice. Lin Feihong, the champion of the Tenkaichi Budokai, was on a mission, and Frieza had returned to his home planet for training.
Originally, there was Pica, but he was in the hospital, chatting with a girl.
“We Saiyans have strong recovery abilities. Why haven’t you healed yet?” Selena asked, standing beside Pica’s bed.
During this time, Pica and Selena had gotten along well, and Selena seemed to have let go of the “peeking” incident. She was actually quite easy to get along with.
“I can’t help it. The problem isn’t just my arms. There’s an issue with my essence, understand? Idiot!” Pica mumbled through a snack.
“What did you say? Say it again if you dare!”
Selena grabbed Pica’s hospital gown, fuming.
“Wow, you understood that? Your hearing must be exceptional. Who made your ears?” Pica teased.
“Remember, this is a hospital. No shouting allowed. Didn’t your mom teach you that?”
Selena blushed, realizing the other patients were glaring at her. She released Pica and apologized to everyone.
“Fine, I’ll forgive you, you naive girl.”
Pica teased.
“Smack!”
Selena hit Pica with a book, pouting angrily.
“Stop running your mouth!”
“Okay,” Pica replied, looking at Selena with a smile.
“What’s so funny?” Selena asked.
“I’m thinking about a pretty girl. She’s tough but soft-hearted. She wanted to kill someone, but now she’s keeping him company. Isn’t that funny?”
“It is… Wait, are you calling me funny? You’re the funny one!” She smacked Pica again.
“Ouch, that hurts,” Pica exaggerated, shaking his head in pain.
“Pfft—”
“See, your smile is beautiful. You should smile more.”
Selena blushed, but Pica’s next comment made her furious.
“You don’t smile much, so your face looks paralyzed.”
“You bastard, die!!”
