Dragon Ball Xenoverse - Chapter 6
Korin was shocked, “What? You want to drink the Ultra Divine Water? Didn’t you hear me say that all the martial arts masters who drank it died? You… you still want to…”
“Don’t worry. I’m different from them. My goal is to conquer the stars and the sea!” Pica pointed forward dramatically like a teenager with delusions of grandeur.
“……”
“Alright, I’m just lightening the mood. I don’t believe I’m destined for a short life,” Pica smirked.
“Okay, since you’ve decided, you must have a death-defying conviction. Wait here; I’ll get the Ultra Divine Water,” Korin said.
After a while, Korin returned with a teapot marked with a diamond and the character “?” (divine).
“This is the Ultra Divine Water? It looks ordinary.”
Korin poured the Ultra Divine Water into a teacup, “Ordinary? You’ll think differently after you drink it.”
Pica took the teacup from Korin and drank it in one gulp.
“What? You didn’t even prepare? Hey!” Korin exclaimed in a panic.
“It’s quite tasty… Ugh…” Pica grunted, “Of course, there’s no need to prepare. Those who achieve great things don’t sweat the small stuff.”
With a thud, Pica fell to his knees, clutching his throat, his face turning purple, veins bulging on his forehead, and groans of pain escaping his lips.
“Ugh… Ugh… Ah!” Pica screamed, collapsing on the ground, his back arching, eyes bloodshot.
Thud, thud, thud! Pica’s fists pounded the ground, each punch creating a crater in Korin Tower’s floor.
Pica rolled on the ground, a single thought in his mind: “I can’t die; I must go back.”
“Ah!!” Pica’s body suddenly ignited with a golden aura, his eyes vacant, mumbling, “I can’t die; I must go back; I can’t die; I can’t die…” He repeated the words incessantly.
“Ah…” With a shout, Pica flew out of Korin Tower, speeding away, leaving sonic booms in his wake.
“This… How is this possible?” Korin stared at the distant figure, listening to the sonic booms, “This kid is too strong…”
Whoosh——
Pica flew over the ocean, mountains, forests, and countless villages and cities.
“Hmm?” In a mountain forest, a three-eyed young man and a pale boy looked up at the sky.
“You two are slacking off again! How many times have I told you to train seriously and not slack off!” An elderly man with a goatee, wearing a green vest and black martial arts pants embroidered with the character “?” (crane), shouted at his disciples.
“Yes, Master Shen.”
“Ugh…” Pica arrived in a snowy world, where heavy snow and thumb-sized hailstones fell, covering Pica completely. However, a vacuum formed around him, preventing any snow or hail from touching him.
Pica extended his hands, gathering a golden ki blast, and hurled it at a large snowy mountain.
Boom——
With a loud explosion, the mountain’s peak shattered into fragments.
He then shot multiple golden ki blasts into the snow, each creating a one-meter-deep crater, but they were quickly covered by the falling snow.
Growing more frustrated, Pica rapidly fired ki blasts at the snow, but each crater was soon buried.
“Ah——” Pica roared, his aura pushing the snow away, creating a ten-meter diameter vacuum.
A thousand meters above, in the Heavenly Realm, Kami sweated profusely, “This person’s power is terrifying. I didn’t expect such a powerful being in this world.”
“Ugh…” Pica looked up, his gaze fixed on the Heavenly Realm.
“What? He sensed me watching him? How is that possible?” Kami was astonished.
Suddenly, Pica’s ki began to fade, and he plummeted to the ground.
Everything went black for Pica, unable to see anything.
“Where am I?” Pica looked around the darkness, then saw a white light. Instinctively, he walked towards it, reaching out to grab it. The light intensified, forcing Pica to shield his eyes.
“Waah…” The cry of a baby reached Pica’s ears, followed by a gentle voice, “Xiaowen, you did well. Look, it’s a boy. Haha, I’m a father now, I’m a father!”
“This voice is so familiar. Who is it?” Pica’s eyes were misty, then suddenly brightened, “It’s my father’s voice. It’s my father’s voice.”
Pica watched the young man in front of him, who resembled his father but was much younger.
“This is my father… when he was young.” Pica walked forward, but an invisible wall stopped him. No matter how hard he punched, the barrier didn’t break.
“Dear, you need to name the baby,” the exhausted woman on the bed said softly.
“Okay, since it’s a boy, he’ll be named—Pica,” the man said excitedly to the baby in his arms.
As soon as he spoke, the scene before Pica shattered.
“Dad, Mom!!” Pica shouted, but the fragments of the scene turned into light and disappeared.
“Son, don’t cry. Be strong; you’re a man…”
“Son, if you encounter difficulties, remember, home is always your safe haven…”
“Son, you are always the best!”
……
His parents’ voices echoed in Pica’s ears, and tears streamed down his face.
“Ah!!” Pica roared, flying out of the snow, as the storm subsided.
A blazing sun rose from the east, melting the snow and revealing the land beneath.
“So much time has passed?” Pica muttered, looking at the rising sun. He remembered drinking the Ultra Divine Water at dusk, but now it was dawn.
“Hmm?” Pica looked at his fist, “Power… I feel full of power.”
Pica’s eyes shone with joy, “I didn’t expect the Ultra Divine Water to be so effective. My strength has at least doubled. If my initial battle power was 1800, then now it should be 3600. No, maybe even more…”
