Dragon Ball Xenoverse - Chapter 7
The sun rose, shining its light across the land.
“One night has passed. Did that kid really die?” Korin leaned on his staff, looking into the distance with great concern.
“Yo!”
A playful voice came from behind Korin, “Missed me after just one night? I’m honored!”
“You… you survived?” Korin was astonished. Someone had finally survived drinking the Ultra Divine Water.
“Of course, who do you think I am?” Sunlight illuminated Pica’s face, making his already handsome features even more striking.
“How much has your power increased?” Korin asked urgently.
“Uh… about twice as much.”
“Twice? That can’t be right. When I received the Ultra Divine Water, I was told it would unlock all your potential. But you’re so young, your power already exceeds Master Roshi’s by dozens of times. It should have increased more than just twice, unless…” Korin pondered.
“The Ultra Divine Water only unlocks some of the potential within the body, not all of it,” Pica explained.
If it unlocked all the potential, young Goku would have turned into a Super Saiyan God right then. Fully unlocking all potential is impossible.
“Enough thinking. It’s already surprising that someone could drink the Ultra Divine Water and survive. There are more people with strong spirits in this world who might also be able to drink it.”
“Indeed, without strong willpower, one couldn’t endure it. Since my power has significantly increased, I’ll be leaving now. I’ll visit again when I have time,” Pica said, waving to Korin and flying towards Kami’s Lookout.
“That kid…”
Boom——
The higher Pica flew, the darker the clouds became. Above the clouds, numerous lightning bolts danced like dragons in a stormy sea.
With a crack, a bolt of lightning struck at Pica. He countered with a ki blast.
Boom——
The ki blast shattered the lightning, but more lightning gathered in the storm clouds. A one-meter thick bolt of lightning struck at Pica.
“What?” Pica was shocked, pushing out another ki blast, but the lightning devoured it instantly. Crossing his arms, Pica formed a spherical shield around himself.
The lightning struck the shield, shattering it in an instant.
“Ah…” Pica screamed as the lightning struck him, his hair standing on end, his clothes barely covering his vital parts, his skin charred black.
Hiss! More lightning came down from the clouds.
With a swoosh, Pica ignited his white aura, speeding through the lightning straight up into the sky.
“Damn, what’s with this lightning? I don’t have anything magnetic on me. Why is it chasing me?” Pica thought angrily.
Pica sped up, eventually seeing a hemispherical building floating in the air.
“Finally…” Pica accelerated, flying through layers of clouds.
“Kami, he’s here,” Mr. Popo said, wiping sweat from his forehead.
“Yes.”
A figure somersaulted in the air, landing on the platform of Kami’s Lookout. “Phew, finally made it. I didn’t expect the forces of nature to be so powerful.” Covered in soot, Pica exhaled, brushing off the blackened spots on his body, shaking off layers of ash.
“Hello,” Pica greeted Kami and Mr. Popo with a smile.
“I am Kami of Earth. Hello, stranger. Who are you? I’ve never seen such a powerful person on Earth,” Kami said sternly, holding his staff, his authoritative presence pressing down on Pica.
“Eh?” Pica blinked and said, “Hello, I’m Pica. How to explain? I didn’t come here by my own will. I was chased to this planet.”
“What? Your power far exceeds that of Earth’s strongest fighters, even far beyond mine. Someone stronger than you? How is that possible?” Kami was astonished.
“That person is very strong, not from this planet. But I’ll take revenge myself,” Pica said, a hint of anger flashing in his eyes. He would never forget the mysterious person who tried to kill him as soon as he arrived in this world.
“So, I need your help,” Pica said to Kami.
“Me? Impossible. Your power far exceeds mine, so I can’t help you,” Kami said, looking downcast. He analyzed whether Pica’s story was true; if it was, whether this person would come to Earth and pose a threat.
“You can. You can guide me. My energy is strong, but I can only use a tenth of it. I need a seasoned warrior or an excellent teacher to teach me combat techniques,” Pica said, bowing to Kami, “Please help me. This person has a strong evil aura and is destroying what we want to protect.”
After speaking, Pica wiped the sweat from his forehead, “I didn’t expect lying to be so tricky.”
“Alright. In that case, I’ll teach you some combat techniques. How much you learn is up to you. Follow me,” Kami said, leading the way into the palace.
“This is the palace of Kami’s Lookout and also where I train. During this time, I’ll teach you here. For any minor matters, you can ask Mr. Popo,” Kami said.
“Understood.”
“Rest for today. I’ll guide you this afternoon.”
“Thank you, Kami-sama. (Grumble…)” Pica’s stomach growled, signaling his body was low on energy and needed nourishment.
“Hehe, you’re hungry. Wait a moment, I’ll have Mr. Popo prepare some food,” Kami said with a smile.
“Hehe…” Pica rubbed his head, smiling awkwardly.
In the dining hall.
Smack, smack. The sounds of voracious eating echoed. Mr. Popo and Kami watched in awe as Pica devoured his meal.
“Another serving,” Pica said, handing his empty plate to Mr. Popo.
“Mr. Pica, you’ve already eaten eighty servings. Are you still not full?” Mr. Popo was shocked by Pica’s appetite.
“Almost there, just… another eighty servings should do it.”
“What…” Mr. Popo’s usually calm face showed surprise.
