I Punch the Tailed Beast Ball - Chapter 339
[Create a new save file or load Shikkotsu Forest’s Sage Mode?”]
After accumulating 150,000 points, Nagasawa began another journey of simulating Sage Mode.
This time, instead of continuing to invest points in Shikkotsu Forest’s Sage Mode, he created a new save file.
In Nagasawa’s estimation, there was a huge difference between Great Sage Level and Ancestor Level, and the required points were probably on a different level compared to the previous level.
He only wanted to absorb knowledge from the three Sage Modes to create his own Sage Mode, and reaching the Ancestor Level was unnecessary. Great Sage Level would suffice.
Nagasawa changed the name of Save File 2 to Ryuchi Cave’s Sage Mode 1, and then directly invested 150,000 points before starting the simulation.
In order to achieve the desired effect, Nagasawa had to be patient and accumulate 150,000 points before starting, because he could instantly reach Sage Level with that amount of point.
He found himself in the white dimension again. It seemed that the concept of space and time didn’t apply here.
However, Nagasawa didn’t feel like investigating this place for now, and just concentrated on the simulation, because in this simulation space, automatic training controlled by the system required full concentration from start to finish.
Nagasawa felt a different experience from Shikkotsu Forest’s Sage Mode.
He now understood a lot of things that he found difficult to understand from the information that the White Snake Sage provided.
Nagasawa’s understanding of Ryuchi Cave’s Sage Mode grew rapidly, and at a certain moment, he learned Ryuchi Cave’s exclusive Sage Art – Inorganic Reincarnation.
Inorganic Reincarnation was an extremely potent Sage Art that could grant life to inanimate objects and manipulate them however the user wanted.
Even though both started with absorbing natural energy and moulding Senjutsu Chakra, Ryuchi Cave’s Senjutsu Chakra felt much more aggressive to Nagasawa, quite different from Shikkotsu Forest’s Senjutsu Chakra.
In terms of power, Nagasawa felt that Ryuchi Cave’s Sage Mode might be stronger than Shikkotsu Forest’s Sage Mode.
Of course, it didn’t mean that Shikkotsu Forest Sage Mode would be inferior in actual combat. Shikkotsu Forest Sage Mode granted incredibly potent regenerative abilities. Even if Nagasawa’s body was torn into two, he wouldn’t die. Once his body was reconnected, he could fight as if nothing happened.
Nagasawa understood why each Sage Mode had such significant differences; it was all based on their individual characteristics.
The Slug had strong regeneration abilities, hence Shikkotsu Forest’s Sage Mode had the strongest regeneration power.
The Snake was known for its offensive, so Ryuchi Cave Sage Mode shone in combat.
However, he couldn’t figure out what Mount Myoboku’s Sage Mode might excel at. Did toads have any particular strengths? Water Release, maybe?
After learning Inorganic Reincarnation, Nagasawa quickly exited the simulation space as he had used up all the points’ worth.
Even though he had used up 150,000 points in one go, Nagasawa still didn’t feel completely satisfied. He wished he could stay longer. The feeling of gaining strength rapidly without effort was incredibly satisfying.
Nagasawa quickly took out his notebook and wrote down all his discoveries from the simulation space, comparing them to Shikkotsu Forest’s Sage Mode.
After he was done, Nagasawa let out a sigh of relief as he had made significant progress in creating his own Sage Mode.
“I haven’t visited Orochimaru in a while. I wonder how his research is going.” Nagasawa stroked his chin.
Research wasn’t something that could be finished overnight, especially when it involved Sharingan and Hashirama’s cells.
At first, Nagasawa occasionally checked Orochimaru’s progress, but later, he visited only once a month or when Orochimaru had something specific to discuss.
“It’s a good time to ask him if he can do something about the training facility.” With that thought in mind, Nagasawa headed to Orochimaru’s underground base.
As usual, he made hand seals to move a massive stone and swiftly jumped into the base.
Orochimaru’s laboratory was a little different from before. It now had many incubation tanks containing artificial humans.
Nagasawa noticed that these artificial humans were growing rapidly. Last time he saw them, they were still in their child forms, but now they looked like teenagers.
However, their faces were almost identical, probably because they all shared the same person’s genes, and the greenish liquid gave them a somewhat eerie appearance.
“Orochimaru, how’s the research going? Any new progress?” Nagasawa asked directly.
“It’s progressing smoothly. I believe there will be a major breakthrough soon.” Orochimaru nodded and smirked in a white lab coat.
“The artificial humans are ready; they are created from Uchiha Clan genes. The only issue now is the souls; only by transferring a soul into these artificial bodies can we truly begin the experiments.”
“Transferring souls is not simple. Is there even a Ninjutsu for that?” Nagasawa asked.
He didn’t know if Orochimaru had developed the Impure World Reincarnation by now, as Impure World Reincarnation involved transferring one’s soul into another body.
To achieve what Orochimaru described, it would likely require further tweaks.
“There was indeed no Forbidden Technique that was capable of such a feat at the moment. Such a technique was at borderline immortality-related,” Orochimaru suddenly changed the topic with a sly smile.
“But that won’t deter me. I’ve studied all of Konoha’s Forbidden Technique. No one understands Forbidden Technique better than I do. I’ve already developed the technique to transfer souls; I just need to conduct some experiments.”
“Impressive, Orochimaru. You’re the most capable scientist I’ve ever met.” Nagasawa gave Orochimaru a thumbs-up.
Orochimaru might not be as powerful as Nagasawa in terms of strength, but in research, he wouldn’t fall behind anyone.
“But regarding the experimental subjects, I’ll need your help, Nagasawa-kun. Be it for the experiments for the said technique or transferring souls into the artificial humans, both require a considerable number of experimental subjects,” Orochimaru made his request.
Previously, when Orochimaru cooperated with Root, they handled the experimental subjects. Now that he worked with Nagasawa, it was only natural for Nagasawa to assume this responsibility.
Orochimaru wasn’t worried that Nagasawa would refuse. He knew that on top of loving Konoha and its people, Nagasawa didn’t hold back against enemies.
Experimental subjects didn’t necessarily have to be from Konoha; they could be from enemy countries or even some bandits.
Nagasawa nodded and replied, “No problem. I will help you with this issue.”
Just as Orochimaru though, Nagasawa intended to capture a few groups of bandits for Orochimaru.
This would fulfill Orochimaru’s requirements and improve Land of Fire’s security at the same time. It was simply perfect.”
