I Will Become Hokage in One Piece - Chapter 200
Chapter 200: The Arrival of Luffy
“Wow, that was fast!”
Rodney’s speed made even the battle-hardened Marco feel it was too fast. In an instant, he saw a massive fist, surrounded by lightning, growing in front of him.
With his wings restored to arms, Marco braced himself for the punch. The power contained within it was formidable, and even he couldn’t help but feel a twinge of pain in his arms.
“Such incredible strength! It’s even greater than Jozu’s.”
Marco landed on the ice, his arms hurting. He used the “Blue Flames of Resurrection” to soothe the pain.
“It’s really tough to deal with someone who can heal while fighting!”
Rodney’s skin returned to its normal color. Maintaining the Boil Release state was still a bit challenging for him.
“You can do it too, can’t you? Your regenerative abilities are comparable to Kaido’s!”
Marco remembered the descriptions of Rodney in the newspapers. He had fought Capu without any visible injuries and possessed frightening regenerative powers.
“Haha, how can something like that compare to your Phoenix Fruit abilities?”
“I feel like you’re insulting me,” Marco twitched his mouth, finding Rodney’s words a bit strange. But for someone who had consumed the Phoenix Fruit like him, there was nothing wrong with that statement.
“No, just stating a fact.”
Rodney infused his thoughts into his body, controlling the contraction of his muscles. His originally robust physique became leaner, losing the explosive power but gaining speed.
Life Return!
Rodney’s shadow clones had always used this technique. It allowed him to freely control his body, something he had always desired to stop appearing as if he was from a “village of gay guys.” After all, his skin had been getting darker from too much sun exposure.
This move might reduce his strength slightly, but it greatly increased his speed.
Seeing the change in Rodney’s body, Marco asked, “Is this… Life Return?”
“Exactly, this state suits me the best. Marco, come on! Let me see the strength of the First Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates!” While speaking, Rodney and Marco simultaneously looked up at the sky.
In the sky, something seemed to be falling…
“What is that?”
“Warships?!”
“Why are there warships falling from the sky?!!”
Someone questioned in confusion, but it wasn’t the time to focus on such matters.
“Ahhhh!”
“We’re going to die, we’re going to die!!!”
“We’re done for, we’re done for!!!”
“Waaaaah, the ground below is all ice; we’ll definitely die!”
“Damn Straw Hat! Why did we believe your nonsense? Why are we falling from the sky?!!”
In the sky, among the prisoners who had fallen with Luffy, there was one with a red nose and blue pigtails who loudly complained.
“Oh, I forgot. I’m rubber; I won’t die!” Luffy said with a dumbfounded expression.
“You bastard! We’re going to die!!!!”
Apparently, the protagonist’s aura was at play, as the enormous warships and prisoners fell directly onto the limited patch of sea covered in ice. With the help of Shanks, Luffy, Buggy, and other Devil Fruit users were rescued.
“Aceeeee! I’m here to save youuuuu!”
Luffy stood at the bow of the ship, shouting loudly across the battlefield, reaching the execution platform where Ace was.
Sengoku’s veins bulged on his forehead as he yelled at Kizaru, who had just climbed up to the execution platform alongside his grandson, who was still bewildered. “Garp, isn’t this your grandson again?!”
“Luffy!!!”
Garp buried his head in his hands, feeling like he was going crazy. He immediately said, “Rodney, capture that unfilial grandson for me!”
“Sorry, Vice Admiral Garp, but I don’t have the time right now. Can’t you see I’m occupied?” Rodney replied with a smile.
Furrowing his brows, Marco asked, “Aren’t you planning to capture Ace’s brother?” Ace had mentioned Luffy before, and some crew members recognized him.
“Why would I do that? I’m busy right now! I’m not going to get involved with every pirate! At least, I won’t lay a hand on the Straw Hat crew.” Rodney said, “It’s about time for me to take action. Oh, isn’t that Buggy?”
Accompanied by a group of Impel Down escapees, the red-nosed clown Buggy was having his moment just like in the original story. The Marineford War was not only Rodney’s showcase but also a pinnacle moment in Buggy’s life.
Thinking about it, Rodney smiled and thought, “Should I start the livestream now?”
“I’m going to leave now. You guys have fun,” Rodney said, leaping gracefully to a higher platform. He sat down casually and closed his eyes, beginning to meditate.
Originally, Sengoku and Sakazuki occupied these positions, but now they were nowhere to be seen. Aokiji was gone too. Only Kizaru remained, occasionally firing a laser and then relocating, using his tactics to avoid direct confrontations.
“You can’t stay here. It doesn’t suit my style,” Rodney said as he jumped onto the execution platform. Sengoku asked, “Why are you here, Rodney? Get down from there.”
“Haha, don’t be like that. I’m just borrowing the spot for a while.”
With that, he sat down and closed his eyes, starting to meditate.
Sengoku couldn’t help but think, “What’s this?” He sensed a strange energy swirling around Rodney and entering his body.
“What is this…”
“Rodney, this energy…”
Garp’s eyes widened as he suddenly sensed something extraordinary. Despite his many years of experience, he had never encountered this kind of energy before.
Five minutes passed, and Rodney remained motionless. Finally, the iconic face of an enlightened Buddha appeared on his face. At this moment, Rodney seemed to merge with nature itself.
“This feeling is so comfortable. Summoning Technique!”
About the same height as the execution platform, Katsuyu appeared. Rodney said, “Fleet Admiral Sengoku, Katsuyu possesses healing abilities. As long as she provides energy, she can rescue injured Marines and have them undergo Ivankov’s treatment.”
“Is that true?!”
Sengoku’s eyes widened. If it was true, it would be a divine technique on the battlefield. He wondered how many lives it could save.
“Of course, Katsuyu can split into several forms. Those people in white clothes are the ones she’ll treat!”
“Yes, Lord Rodney!”
Katsuyu responded and transformed into numerous small forms, each about half a meter long. They moved nimbly to the injured Marines, resting on those who couldn’t move. Green healing chakra radiated from her, treating their wounds.
“Oh, this is amazing.”
“My injuries have completely healed, and my strength has returned.”
“Hahaha, pirates, taste the power of this old man’s attacks!” The Marines, having recovered, picked up their weapons and rushed back into battle. The situation on the battlefield began to turn unfavorable for the Whitebeard Pirates.
“Hahaha, Rodney, you’ve done a great job!” Garp laughed heartily, and even Sengoku couldn’t help but smile. This could minimize the casualties among the Marines.
Although there would inevitably be losses in the war, reducing them was crucial. Rodney’s hidden abilities were proving to be a game-changer.
“Lord Rodney,” one of Katsuyu’s forms crawled over to him and rested on his back, absorbing natural energy to maintain his Sage Mode.
Of course, he could let the Three-Tails absorb it, but it wasn’t the right time yet.
“Hey, hey, Rodney, that guy has more tricks up his sleeve than I thought.”
Whitebeard realized that the longer this dragged on, the more losses his crew would suffer. He couldn’t afford that.
If things didn’t improve soon, would he have to step onto the battlefield himself?
He couldn’t help but wonder.
