Chapter 206: Grandfather!!!

“Dad! What are you doing? Dad! Why don’t you come with us?”

“Yeah! Didn’t we agree to return to the New World together?”

“How could we leave you behind alone!”

The pirates were about to turn back upon seeing this, but Whitebeard stopped them with a shout. “Listen up, all members of the Whitebeard Pirates!”

“This is the captain’s final order! Every single one of you! You must return to the New World alive!!!”

His voice echoed in everyone’s ears, and the members of the Whitebeard Pirates were frozen. They had just rescued Ace, so why couldn’t they return together? They couldn’t accept Whitebeard’s command all of a sudden!

Whitebeard swung his naginata, knocking down a large number of bloodthirsty Marines. He gasped for breath and drew some strength from his heavily wounded body, roaring, “I’m a relic of the old era! The New World no longer has a place for my ship!!!”

“I’ve traveled for a long time. It’s time for me to go ashore!” Whitebeard said nonchalantly. “Before that, let this old man shelter his children for one last time!”

In his final moments, he wanted to protect his family one last time, leaving no regrets in his life. He didn’t care about wealth, fame, or power. The only thing that mattered to him was his family, and he wanted to protect them one last time, drawing a perfect conclusion to his life.

He waved his naginata, standing alone, directly blocking all the Marines. “Come and get my head here if you dare! Marines!!!”

Ace turned and saw Sakazuki’s disdainful face. “Well, it’s no surprise that the Whitebeard Pirates, who only know how to play childish games with a bunch of misfits, are incapable of facing justice. In the end, they’re just a group of misfits, both the captain and the crew!”

“Whitebeard’s defeat to Roger has a reason, after all. He’s just a loser from the previous era!”

Sakazuki knew that Whitebeard had a death wish and would definitely die today. The Whitebeard Pirates probably couldn’t all stay behind, but he had to make sure that the two young men with the world’s most dangerous bloodlines were left behind.

Ace was furious at Sakazuki’s words. They not only slandered Whitebeard but also compared him to that man, which he couldn’t tolerate.

“Shut up!!!”

“You pirates have no right to live! Whitebeard will die as a failure! Killed by the just Marines!”

“Whitebeard is the one who created this era! How dare you insult my savior! This era is named after Whitebeard!!!!”

Fire clashed with magma! As an advanced user of the Flame-Flame Fruit, Sakazuki perfectly suppressed Ace in both strength and fruit ability. Ace was sent flying, his eyes momentarily vacant. Luffy wanted to help, but his body felt weak. He had been pushing himself to the limit for so long, relying on Ivankov’s hormones to keep him going. Now, his body had reached its breaking point.

“Pirate King Gol D. Roger and Revolutionary Dragon’s sons are sworn brothers. You two have the blood of criminals, and I must kill you! Everyone else can escape, but not you two! Watch closely!”

Sakazuki abandoned Ace and charged toward the exhausted Luffy.

“Grandfather!!!”

That call, that figure! Sakazuki was struck by a black iron fist, sending him flying and crashing through Sengoku’s office!

He lay in the rubble, just inches away from falling into the ocean.

A tall, sturdy old man stood in front of the two brothers, his eyes filled with fury. “Who dares to harm my grandson!!!”

Behind him, his justice cloak billowed. The brothers stared in astonishment at the elderly man who had raised them.

“Old man! What are you doing? You’re a Marine! You saved us, what are you going to do?!”

“You are my grandchildren!!!” Garp shouted, punching Ace in the chest. “Ace, you bastard! Since you’ve escaped, get out of here with Luffy!”

Like catching little chicks, he handed the two brothers over to Rodney.

“Garp!!” A golden Buddha descended from the sky, and a palm pressed Garp down. “What are you doing? Are you willing to disregard the justice you’ve followed for so many years?!”

“Old man… I have to save them! They are… my grandsons!”

That “grandfather” made Garp feel like he couldn’t bear the weight of his justice anymore.

“Garp!!!”

Sengoku couldn’t understand his old friend’s feelings. Perhaps the way he felt when that young man died was understandable. The responsibility of an elder, right?

“Garp, you bastard! Borusalino, Kuzan! Abandon the two captains! Surround the Whitebeard Pirates with everything you’ve got!”

As for himself, he charged toward Whitebeard.

“Gura Gura no Mi!” Whitebeard faced off against Sengoku, releasing the shockwaves of his Devil Fruit ability, creating overwhelming pressure.

“Whitebeard! Today, you will meet your end here!”

Sengoku raised his palm, and a shockwave clashed with Whitebeard’s power, causing the ground beneath them to shatter!
