I Will Become Hokage in One Piece - Chapter 207
Chapter 207: Blackbeard’s Pirate Crew
The battle between the remnants of two old eras was earth-shattering. Whitebeard was held back, and Joze and Marco began leading Whitebeard’s pirate crew to retreat. Although they didn’t want to, they had to because this was Whitebeard’s final captain’s order. They had to obey it; otherwise, everything they did would be in vain. Those people would all have died for nothing, and Whitebeard’s sacrifice would have been in vain.
“Retreat! Retreat!”
“Go this way!” Rodney created an ice path, his Beast Cloak disappearing. He said, “Hurry up, or I’ll blast you all away!”
“Who asked for your help? You two-faced pirate hunter!”
“Hmph! You’re just a scheming little man!”
“Ha! I would never accept your charity!”
Among the pirates, many looked down on Rodney. When he glanced at them, they dared not speak up. One of them sneered and said, “If I wanted to, I could obliterate the entire Marineford. Everyone, including Whitebeard and the Shichibukai, would die. If it weren’t for the fact that it would cause the world to go into chaos, I would have done it already. You fools, who are brave but foolish, don’t even want a chance to escape. Truly…”
“What did you say?!”
“You bastard, say that again!!!”
“Don’t underestimate pirates, you bastard!!!”
Some pirates wanted to charge forward, but Marco stopped them. He scolded, “What are you all standing around for? Do you want all of Old Man’s sacrifices to be in vain? Get up there! We’ll settle this score later, but not now!”
“Smart move. Welcome, you guys.” Rodney smiled as he walked forward, and a tall figure appeared.
Admiral Aokiji!
“Ah, didn’t expect you to betray us like this, Rodney!” Ice frost condensed on his body, and he exhaled a bone-chilling cold.
“It’s not a betrayal because I never intended to follow the World Government from the beginning.”
“Because of Ace?” An elderly woman approached, her hands behind her back, and asked.
Facing Granny Kokoro, Rodney maintained his respect and politeness, smiling as he replied, “He’s one of the reasons, but not the main one. The main reason is that your sense of justice is not the same as mine. Your justice belongs to the World Government, not you. What’s the difference between you and the Celestial Dragons?”
Both Kokoro and Kuzan fell silent for a moment. Kokoro shook her head and said, “It seems we have nothing more to discuss.” She could tell from the beginning that Rodney had a deep-seated aversion to the World Government, and by extension, the Marines. He showed respect and politeness to a select few, like Cap, but maintained a polite yet distant attitude towards others.
“That’s right, there’s nothing more to discuss!”
Rodney lowered his head, his feet already frozen in ice. He laughed and said, “You’re quick to take action, Admiral Aokiji. But do you think I’m afraid of this?”
With a release of his monstrous strength, he shattered the ice that had formed on his legs. His hands were already frozen, and Kuzan said softly, “Many of your attacks are based on your hands, so if I freeze your hands, I can neutralize most of your attacks.”
Ninjutsu required hand seals and chakra flow to work, with the exception of instant techniques. So, “Senpo: Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu!”
A scorching flame surged forward. Originally not planning to dodge, Kuzan felt a sense of crisis and quickly raised an ice wall.
Boom!
Ninjutsu infused with chakra could threaten natural elements, much like Haki.
The ice wall crumbled under the impact of the flames. Kuzan said softly, “Ah, that’s a terrifying attack.”
“Are you trying to scare me with such talk?”
“That’s right, Kuzan, you don’t need to imitate my way of speaking. But I have to say, Rodney, you are really something, like a monster! But have you ever been kicked at the speed of light?”
Borosarino suddenly appeared with a leg glowing in golden light. He kicked straight towards Rodney’s head.
“Sage Art: Uchiha Reflection!”
The kick landed on the Flame Fan. Instead of the expected explosion, it merely sent the man flying back several steps. Then, Borosarino himself was blown away by the force generated by Uchiha Reflection.
Returning to the ground as a photon, Borosarino muttered with a crooked mouth, “Terrifying! Truly a monster!”
“Dual Spiked Spears!”
“Sage Art: Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique!”
A stream of flames spewed forth, incinerating the ice blocks. The fire raged on, but was eventually sealed by Kuzan using ice blocks.
“Shadow Clone Jutsu!”
Several Rodneys rushed out and began obstructing the Marines on the battlefield. Borosarino thought for a moment and went after a clone. Astonishingly, the battle between him and the clone was back and forth, as if he had found the real Rodney.
Kuzan twitched his mouth and asked, “What are you trying to do, Rodney? Are you putting on a show against Whitebeard’s crew just to save Ace?”
“No, I’ve already obtained what I wanted. All that’s left is Whitebeard’s head. But if I can’t take it, I don’t really care.” He was just bragging; bragging cost nothing.
“I see. Are you prepared to be our enemy, then?”
“I suppose.”
He smiled and said, “But let me say this: if any harm befalls the ordinary citizens because of you, one World Government person for each will pay the price. I will make sure you live in fear forever.”
Kuzan: “…”
“It seems like you and Nico Robin are a match.”
“Thanks for the compliment!”
“I didn’t compliment you!”
“Admiral Kuzan, it seems someone has arrived, and they’re quite the big fellow.”
He saw them. Behind the Marine Headquarters, a massive pirate wearing Impel Down prisoner attire was hiding. How could such a huge guy have gone unnoticed? What’s the point of your Observation Haki?
A pirate! A massive warship! The San Juan Wolf!
“Hehaha! Old man! It’s been a while, huh? To be able to see you before you die, it’s really something! Old man!!”
His signature laughter echoed. He wore a black captain’s hat on his explosive head, with a rugged appearance, and his eyes were full of cruelty and greed. He was missing a few teeth, clearly beaten by someone, and his upper body was bare, revealing a body covered in thick fur. He wore two necklaces with different colors around his neck, and on his wrists were precious gemstone bracelets. Each of his ten fingers had different styles of jewel rings. He looked like a nouveau riche.
But he was a cunning, deep-minded pirate!
Blackbeard!
Marshall D. Teach!
A Dark-Dark Fruit user!
He had hidden among Whitebeard
‘s crew for decades, gambling everything on an elusive destiny, and it turned out that he had bet correctly!
“That… That’s a pirate! The massive warship! The San Juan Wolf?!”
“The ‘Evil Political King’ Abalo Pizarro!!”
“The ‘Black Moon Hunter’ Catarina Devon!!”
“The ‘Big Barrel’ Vasco Shot?!”
“Rain Keeper Shiru stationed at Impel Down!”
“And that’s Blackbeard, Marshall D. Teach!”
“You, you bastard!” Whitebeard saw Blackbeard and the others appearing on the execution platform. His eyes blazed with fury, and the veins on his arms bulged. He wished he could kill him right away! Having gained control of Impel Down and the surrounding territory, Blackbeard had become increasingly confident.
With Whitebeard already heavily wounded by Sakazuki and Sengoku, he believed he could soon get his hands on the Gura Gura no Mi, the fruit that could destroy the world, and take over as the next Pirate King!
This was Blackbeard’s plan all along! He had been planning this from the very beginning!
