I Will Become Hokage in One Piece - Chapter 214
Chapter 214: A Warning to All
“Wow, is this still the deep sea?”
Although Rodney had told Jiraiya that they were now more than ten thousand meters underwater, the magnificent sight before him still drew an exclamation of surprise. It was like the country bumpkin entering the grand garden, utterly captivated by something new and extraordinary.
“Yes, this is Fish-Man Island, located ten thousand meters beneath the sea. Generally, humans don’t live here. Instead, it’s inhabited by humanoid creatures, the Fish-Men and Merfolk,” Rodney patiently explained the wonders of Fish-Man Island and this magical world.
“Do you mean there are mermaids here?” Jiraiya asked. Mermaids were mythical creatures in the world of Naruto, but Rodney had mentioned their existence in this world.
“Yes, Fish-Man Island’s most popular place is the Mermaid Café run by Madame Shyarly. However, her brother met his end at my hands, so I haven’t visited much. But I can guarantee it won’t disappoint!” Rodney remembered that Brook and Lester had visited the cafe once, and both of them claimed it was worth it. He would have gone himself if Robin hadn’t been watching him closely.
“That’s great! I definitely have to visit later. I have a feeling this place will provide new inspiration for my work,” Jiraiya’s eyes were filled with creative fire… No, it was more like an intense lust for creation that seemed capable of burning everything to ashes.
…
So, was the “Intimate Paradise” trilogy going in a new direction with mermaids?
Rodney couldn’t help but feel curious about this unexpected turn of events and casually remarked, “Jiraiya, this world isn’t just inhabited by Fish-Men. There are also races like Giants, Dwarves, Long-Neck Tribe, and more.”
Jiraiya’s eyes widened, and he exhaled a white, hot breath that expanded. He patted Rodney on the shoulder and said, “Rodney, you’re my best friend from now on!”
Wasn’t his confirmation of friendship a bit hasty?
If Sanji found out, he’d cry!
Jiraiya felt that his creative spirit was burning brightly!
Under the guidance of Fish-Men, they quickly arrived at the scene of the incident. These pirates had been hiding on Sabaoth Archipelago, and once the Marines lifted their blockade on Fish-Man Island, they rushed in as fast as possible. With Whitebeard gone, the island that had been under his protection was now left with only injured residents. That meant the beautiful Mermaids would fetch a high price!
“Yah!”
A Mermaid struggled, letting out a shrill scream. A group of rough and menacing pirates smirked and thought they were making a fortune.
“Whitebeard is dead, and Fish-Man Island no longer has a protector! Haha! The Ryugu Kingdom won’t stand a chance!”
“Men, let’s make some money!”
“Oh, oh, oh!”
It had to be said that when it came to courting death, pirates were exceptionally talented. Just as the leading pirate was laughing maniacally, a giant red wooden clog suddenly enlarged and kicked him directly in the face. “Release this beautiful Mermaid lady!”
Bang!
The pirate leader was sent flying by the kick. “Ninjutsu: Disarray Lion’s Mane Technique!”
His long white hair seemed to have eyes as it wrapped around the Mermaid’s slender waist, pulling her towards Jiraiya. Holding the Mermaid in his arms, he looked resolute. “With me here, you’ll be safe!”
“Th-thank you!” Although the one who saved her was a human, the Mermaid lady was still grateful. She just wished the man’s hands weren’t so roving.
Gama Sennin, perched on Jiraiya’s shoulder, observed the Mermaid lady and remarked, “What an extraordinary existence.”
“What is this? It can speak?” The Mermaid lady asked curiously.
“I’m a toad. I’ve learned to speak the human language,” Gama Sennin replied. Well, everyone was speaking the Island Language here, so there was no issue with it being in English…
Rodney had wanted to comment on this for a while.
“Who do you think you are, old man? How dare you disturb us?! Are you tired of living?” The pirates scoffed.
“Who am I?”
Jiraiya burst into hearty laughter and proclaimed, “I am Myoboku Mountain’s Frog Spirit Sage, Immortal Hermit Sage Jiraiya! The Great Sage Jiraiya!”
With a smirk, he activated the summoning jutsu, and an orange toad, two or three people tall, appeared beneath him, lifting him up.
“Who are you guys?”
The pirates looked bewildered; obviously, they hadn’t heard of him.
“Never mind, it’s normal not to have heard of me. But as Rodney mentioned, pirates can be dealt with directly. Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!”
A massive fireball shot from Jiraiya’s mouth, engulfing the group of pirates in flames.
“Ahhh!”
Screams filled the air. Although Jiraiya was a somewhat perverted uncle with a good-natured demeanor, before all of that, he was a shinobi with the potential to inherit the title of Hokage. For shinobi, killing people was just part of the job.
On the other side, Rodney had a pirate with a bounty exceeding one billion berries pinned underfoot. “You have the guts to come here, but you don’t know that Fish-Man Island is under my protection now, do you? Oh, you didn’t know? Well, now you do.”
He exerted more pressure with his foot, causing the pirate to cry out, “Ahh, please spare me! We’ll leave right away! We won’t dare to do this again!”
“No, no, this won’t do!” Rodney shook his head. “To deter others, you must pay the price. An example must be made.”
Creating clones, he apprehended all the pirates, broke their bones, and then dragged them to the entrance of Fish-Man Island. He hung them up conspicuously, not killing them immediately, but leaving them as a warning.
Staring at the group of pirates, Rodney grinned. “Anyone else dares to cause trouble here? I’ll make you understand what true fear is!”
With a release of chakra that was as intimidating as Conqueror’s Haki, the same level of majesty as the King’s Disposition, struck fear into many hearts. A terrifying aura emanated from him, and his chakra whipped through the air like a violent gale.
“From today on, Fish-Man Island is under my protection!”
“Magician Rodney!”
“The man who destroyed Sabaody Archipelago?!”
“A bounty hunter with a bounty of sixteen billion berries?!! Why is he here?”
“Did he take over Whitebeard’s territory?”
The pirates’ hearts turned cold. They had received Rodney’s wanted posters, which detailed his crimes, including wiping Sabaody Archipelago off the map. This wasn’t something they could oppose. So, from now on, was Fish-Man Island Rodney’s territory?
Did Whitebeard’s pirates just hand over their territory so easily?
“So! Who dares to cause trouble here now?
I’ll deal with anyone who does! This is Fish-Man Island, and it’s under my protection!”
He released a trace of his Tailed Beast’s murderous intent, a majesty equivalent to Haoshoku Haki, which caused quite a few people to faint. The terrifying chakra filled the air, and a horrifying aura swept through, forcing everyone to their knees.
“Remember this! If you come here to rest, we have no objections. But if you cause trouble… I’ll show you what real terror is!”
Approaching one of the pirates who was suspended, he asked with a wicked grin, “Have you heard of… ‘Lingchi’?”
The pirates had a blank look. Obviously, they didn’t know.
“You don’t? Well, that’s just perfect. I’ll teach you.” Rodney picked up a knife, his face carrying a terrifying smile. “Lingchi execution is a form of punishment. It involves cutting pieces of flesh from your body, one by one, until only your internal organs and skeletal structure remain, and you’re still alive.”
His words were like the whispers of a demon, sending shivers down everyone’s spines. Some of the less courageous pirates shivered just hearing him describe it.
Being reduced to just bones and organs, how agonizing would that be?
Death wasn’t frightening; what was truly terrifying was enduring excruciating pain before dying!
“I’ll let you see for yourselves.” Rodney held a kunai and said, “I won’t make you go through a complete Lingchi execution; that would be too much. Let’s start with thirty-six cuts.”
The kunai pierced the pirate’s arm, just a few centimeters under the skin. Rodney then began to pull slowly, causing the pirate to scream in agony, sending shivers through the hearts of all who heard.
The screams continued relentlessly as Rodney intentionally avoided vital areas, subjecting the pirates to maximum torment.
A figure, no longer recognizable as a human, appeared on a stone pillar. With a mad grin, he asked, “Who else dares to cause trouble here? This is what awaits you!”
Madman!
That was everyone’s assessment of him!
