I Will Become Hokage in One Piece - Chapter 215
Chapter 215: Encirclement and Pursuit
Rodney’s gruesome Lingchi execution had a significant impact. The group of pirates behaved obediently, like docile lambs, and entered Fish-Man Island without causing any trouble. After that, they stayed quietly in their rooms, fleeing the island like scared rabbits once their ships were repaired. They had learned their lesson not to mess around in this place.
Ace and Marco didn’t expect Rodney to use such a bloody method to intimidate the pirates, but it proved highly effective.
Rodney himself felt queasy after what he had done. If it weren’t necessary to deal with these unruly individuals, he wouldn’t have resorted to such brutality because it lacked humanity.
But for such a lawless bunch, extreme measures were required.
Robin patted his back gently and said, “Captain, you’ve done enough. You don’t need to resort to such methods.”
She rarely saw Rodney use such bloody tactics. However, she understood that it was necessary to maintain order, and the intimidation factor was undeniably strong. For quite some time, Fish-Man Island would remain peaceful.
“No, when dealing with special groups, you need special methods. I’ll have my clones handle it next time,” Rodney said, taking a sip of water from the cup Robin handed him. He continued, “These outlaws have no principles. Jiraiya, what do you think?”
“Well, these people pursue power and wealth; they’re slaves to their desires. But I must say, Fish-Man Island is indeed a fantastic place!” Jiraiya’s face still had the lipstick mark left by the Mermaid lady. It was a gift from her as a token of gratitude for saving her.
As he thought about it, Jiraiya’s smile gradually widened, and the way Rodney looked at him became increasingly like that of someone staring at a pervert. Well, he was indeed looking at a pervert!
“Rodney, we should leave now. We need to take Old Man Whitebeard back to his homeland.”
They needed to send Whitebeard back to his final resting place.
“You go ahead. I still have some matters to attend to here. I’ve already informed Red-Haired Shanks, and he’ll take care of your territory,” Rodney’s complexion had improved significantly, but he still looked much better. He cleared his throat and continued, “Luffy and the Empress have gone to Daughter Island for training. You should focus on honing your Conqueror’s Haki. By the way, find some time to contact the Revolutionary Army. There will be a pleasant surprise waiting for you.”
“I don’t want any more surprises right now. I just want to become stronger,” Ace’s eyes blazed with determination. It was a burning desire to become stronger, a resolve that he must get stronger!
“No! You should make that contact. You’ll be grateful later, I promise. Consider this a reminder from me. Don’t be disobedient this time.”
“What did you see now?” Ace couldn’t help but ask.
Rodney grinned mysteriously, “Some secrets are better left unrevealed. Anyway, there’s someone you’ll definitely want to meet.”
“Just tell me directly!” Ace was itching to know who this person was that Rodney was so sure he’d want to meet.
However, Ace was familiar with Rodney and knew that he wouldn’t reveal something so easily.
It seemed that he would have to ask Marco to contact the Revolutionary Army later. Although they didn’t usually interact with them, with the Whitebeard Pirates’ connections, it wouldn’t be difficult to get in touch with the Revolutionary Army. But that would have to wait until after Whitebeard’s funeral.
Ace left, accompanied by the remaining members of the Whitebeard Pirates. After this incident, the Whitebeard Pirates would no longer hold the status of an Emperor’s crew. Unless someone with Emperor-level strength emerged within the crew to lead them back to their peak.
Fish-Man Island now displayed the flag of the Aveliton Weapon Company. From this point forward, it was under Rodney’s protection. The few individuals who had suffered the Lingchi execution were frozen in ice, which wouldn’t melt easily given the underwater environment and the substantial amount of ice Rodney provided. It would stay frozen for at least half a month. After that, he would have one of his clones refreeze them. Rodney had left a clone in this location specifically for this purpose. While there was only one Tailed Beast, he could distribute chakra to his clones, providing the energy needed for the Shadow Clone’s existence.
So, Rodney’s clone settled in a favorable location, ready to respond immediately to any situation and maintain peace in the region.
Rodney, along with Robin, Jiraiya, and Fan Oka, returned to Aveliton.
Jiraiya had originally wanted to stay longer because the Mermaid ladies were incredibly alluring… No, he had taken quite a few materials from Fish-Man Island, but Rodney had told him that it would be difficult to leave the deep sea without their guidance. In the end, he had to reluctantly leave the Mermaid Café behind.
During the journey, Rodney gave Jiraiya some basic knowledge about this world, including the major powers on the seas and special abilities like Devil Fruits and Haki. Jiraiya, who used to be a ninja, was wide-eyed, finding everything in this world fascinating and novel.
As they surfaced from the deep sea on the ship they acquired from Fish-Man Island, they encountered a fleet of Marine warships!
“These ships are the primary means of transportation in this world. What do you think would happen if they were destroyed?” Rodney asked Jiraiya.
“They’d be stranded!” Jiraiya chuckled. “But aren’t these official organizations?”
“He’s put a bounty on me, and yet he dares to encircle and pursue me,” Rodney sneered. “Not killing them is already showing my mercy.” He jumped down onto the sea surface, and Jiraiya followed closely behind, saying, “Destroy their ships or defeat them on board!”
“Alright, let’s have some fun!” Jiraiya stretched his body and leaped out alongside Rodney.
Although he wasn’t as fast as Rodney, he had the speed of a Shadow-level ninja thanks to his Shunshin no Jutsu. He quickly reached one of the Marine ships and used a Ninjutsu: Toad Oil Flame Bullet!
A massive toad, bearing two swords, descended from the sky and crushed the ship, sinking it to the depths. There was no admiral or vice admiral on every ship; not all of them had such high-ranking officers.
“Great job, Toad Gamahiro!” Jiraiya shouted as he landed on Gamahiro’s head. “Long time no see!”
Gamahiro’s enormous pupils shifted upward, and he emitted a rumbling sound. “Indeed, it’s been a while. I heard Deepa-sama said you came back to life, Jiraiya.”
“Haha, I thought I was a goner, too. Life is full of surprises, isn’t it? But let’s not dwell on that. Destroy those ships, and watch out for their cannons,” Jiraiya reminded.
“No problem.” Gamahiro pulled out the two swords on his back and sliced through another nearby Marine ship. Not all the ships were equipped with heavy artillery, and the oil from his attack made
the flames burn even more fiercely on the sea’s surface.
Meanwhile, Rodney engaged with the Marines using his Sharingan, casting an illusion that ensnared all the Marines who made eye contact with him, causing them to hinder each other. “Stop right there!” A Dalmatian dog, or rather, a Marine who had consumed the Dog-Dog Fruit: Model Dalmatian, charged out, attempting to stop Rodney but was beaten back.
