I Will Become Hokage in One Piece - Chapter 217
Chapter 217: Special Training for Sanji
Under Rodney’s medical ninjutsu, Sanji’s injuries were quickly healed. Most of his injuries were self-inflicted when he attacked the bear with his own attacks, which the bear, using its Devil Fruit ability, rebounded back at him. In other words, he had injured himself.
In the backyard,
“So, please, train me! Please, Mr. Rodney!” Sanji, dressed neatly in a suit, bowed ninety degrees to Rodney, hoping to receive his special training.
“Huh? My training? Can’t your sister train you?” Rodney asked, puzzled.
At this moment, Reiju spoke up, “My powers come from Jellma’s technology, and I don’t have much experience with specialized training. As a modified person of Jellma, I’ve been training specifically for my abilities, focusing on poison and combat applications. I’m not familiar with your kicking techniques, and trying to train you might do more harm than good.”
“I see. Alright, here’s the deal. Living here comes at a cost. From now on, you and Lester will take shifts. You’ll be responsible for breakfast and lunch, and Lester will handle dinner and late-night snacks. That’s how it’s going to be.”
“No problem. Just breakfast and lunch?”
“That’s right. Lester is easy to work with, and I have a feeling he might want to explore the nearby waters soon. So, on the days when he’s away, you’ll be in charge of cooking all day.”
“That’s not a big deal.” Sanji replied. He had been much busier working at the Baratie on the sea, so this was nothing.
“Alright then, wear this.” Rodney took a weight from his pouch and handed it to Sanji. “Wear this on your feet. For the next two years, you’ll be wearing these weights.”
Looking at the lead block in Rodney’s hand, Sanji asked, “Isn’t this too light?”
Who was he underestimating?
Reiju and Robin crossed their arms, watching with amusement.
“Do you think it’s light?” Rodney said and casually tossed the weight.
Boom!
With just a casual toss, without adding any force, the weight created a hole in the ground.
Sanji: ?(? °? °;)?
“Hey, isn’t this a bit too much?” Jiraiya, who was thinking about creative inspiration, couldn’t help but twitch at this, reminiscent of a certain ninja with a green jumpsuit and a bowl cut.
“It’s fine. To become a great man, you must endure hardship. Young man, you’re still too young,” Rodney said with a light laugh.
“Did you train like this too?” Sanji asked.
“Not quite. This thing couldn’t keep up with my growth,” Rodney shook his head. “Alright, from now on, you’ll wear these weights no matter what you do, even when sleeping. And you’ll run around Aveliton every day for the next six months. This half-year period will be dedicated to improving your physical fitness. Only after a year will I truly teach you combat techniques.”
“Okay, I’ll wear them!”
Sanji clenched his teeth and took the weights from Rodney. Even though he was ready, he almost fell over when he received them. “How heavy are these, exactly?”
“They’re not too heavy, just 500 kilograms. They’ll gradually increase in weight later.” With his monstrous strength, he could effortlessly lift these weights without using his Devil Fruit powers. His body was still growing rapidly, and after mastering Life Return, he had control over his body’s proportions, making him look more muscular and healthy, rather than like a “kappa.”
Wearing the weights, Sanji found it difficult to walk, let alone move. In this world, people had incredibly strong physical qualities, and for ordinary people, it would be nearly impossible to move with these weights.
Rodney smiled and said, “By the way, Zoro lost to the world’s greatest swordsman, Dracule Mihawk. He’s already left, so when you see Zoro, he’ll definitely give you some guidance. Train hard if you don’t want to be surpassed by him!”
Upon hearing this, flames of determination burned in Sanji’s eyes. He could lose to anyone, but he absolutely couldn’t lose to that “seaweed head”!
“Who would lose to that ‘seaweed head’? Ahhh!!!” Sanji shouted loudly. He was absolutely not going to lose to that “seaweed head”!
“Hehehe, you seem quite spirited,” Jiraiya said. “It looks like you have a good relationship with that ‘seaweed head’.”
“Just like you and Orochimaru?”
“Cough, cough, Orochimaru and I are just friends, nothing more,” Jiraiya coughed and felt the need to clarify to Rodney.
“Hehehe,” Rodney chuckled in a way that made Jiraiya grind his teeth. This brat, oh well, let’s continue with my great creation.
But first, he needed to learn the language of this world. What puzzled Jiraiya was that while the languages of the two worlds were the same, the writing was completely different. Rodney explained that it was the will of the vast universe, and no one could defy it. Just learn it properly.
For Jiraiya, learning a new language was no problem at all. It was just a matter of learning the script, and he was learning it quickly. However, Rodney’s choice of study location made him suffer a bit.
His study location was a school. Initially, this wouldn’t be a big problem, but the issue was that he was surrounded by a group of little brats. Can you imagine being called “uncle” by everyone around you?
So he chose to use Transformation Jutsu to change back into his childhood appearance.
He had a talent for learning, and as a ninja, sometimes he had to engage in intelligence-gathering work, which required excellent memory and the ability to synthesize and summarize information. So, it didn’t take him long to learn a significant amount of vocabulary. He had already started writing some simple sentences, and his creative process was on the rise.
“Blub blub blub blub!”
“Blub blub blub blub!”
Robin handed him a Transponder Snail and said, “Captain, it’s a call from Duval.”
“Duval? Why’s he calling me?” Rodney wondered and answered the call. The Transponder Snail mimicked Duval’s appearance and laughed, “Life must be treating you well, Rodney.”
“Of course, everything’s going great,” Rodney replied with a smile. “What’s going on today? Why are you calling me?”
Normally, Duval wouldn’t easily make calls to Rodney, except for their initial few collaborations. So there must be a reason for his call.
“Blub blub blub, Rodney, I suggest you withdraw. The Marines are preparing to take action against you.” Duval received information from his trusted agent, Vergo, who was undercover at the Marine G-5 Branch. The Marines were gathering troops to move against Rodney.
With this revelation, everyone in the room fell silent. Rodney remained quiet for a moment, then smiled, “It seems my threats aren’t strong enough. They won’t be satisfied until I destroy Marine
ford, will they?”
“Blub blub blub, you’re truly a crazy guy, even crazier than I imagined, Rodney!” Duval laughed heartily, seeming quite excited about what was to come. Rodney versus the Marines – who would win?
“Admiral Kizaru is leading the charge, and they’re accompanied by Admiral Tsuru, Vice Admirals Zephyr, Onimaru, Sto?obrowy, and others, as well as fifteen warships. This force is comparable to the Buster Call. Are you sure you can hold out?” Duval asked.
Upon hearing “Buster Call,” Robin shuddered. It was her nightmare. A warm hand enveloped hers, and Rodney smiled as he said, “We’ll see. Am I supposed to be afraid of them? I’ll just destroy them all if I have to!”
