In Marvel, People are Kamen Rider - Chapter 18
“Is the Kamen Rider Armor a series?” Nick Fury couldn’t help but ask Agent Hill.
“Probably! I saw some related drawings on Jerome Saint’s desk, but there were no actual samples,” Agent Hill replied. “But compared to Jerome Lin’s Kamen Rider Armor, the monsters that appeared today are more important!”
“The one who calls himself Ophiuchus?” Nick Fury frowned immediately.
“That’s right!” Agent Hill continued, playing the projection on his watch computer.
The battles between Kamen Rider 01 and the Thorn Fish Ophiuchus, followed by the appearance of the Rose Ophiuchus, all unfolded before Nick Fury and Coulson’s eyes.
“Oh my God! And there are creatures like this too!” Coulson exclaimed.
Nick Fury’s lone eye also showed a serious expression.
“Are you sure this isn’t some kind of alien?” Nick Fury muttered. He had seen aliens before, but they all had recognizable features, nothing as grotesque as this.
“No! The person who turned into the Fish Ophiuchus is a genuine human being from Earth!” Agent Hill shook his head and said. “I just checked his information when I came. His name is Andrew Myers, born in Chicago, graduated from Dartmouth College, and has been working at Stark Industries until now. He’s married and has two daughters and a son. He used to have a happy life, but he was fired by Stark Industries four days ago.”
“That’s why he hates Tony Stark!” Nick Fury and Coulson nodded in understanding.
“But why did he suddenly turn into this Ophiuchus? This guy claims that Ophiuchus is the evolution of humanity, but what caused this kind of evolution?” Nick Fury was full of questions.
“Perhaps we need to investigate Andrew more closely!” Coulson said involuntarily.
As soon as he finished speaking, he suddenly noticed something.
Nick Fury’s lone eye was already fixed on him.
“Then it’s up to you, Coulson!”
…
“Andrew was fired?” Stark Industries Building.
Tony Stark frowned at the HR manager. “Who fired him? Why didn’t anyone ask me?”
Tony’s inner thoughts were very complex at the moment.
He didn’t think poorly of Andrew; he even made him the head of a major project. Although the project ultimately failed, Tony didn’t punish him for it.
And yet, the guy still wanted to kill him! Tony was furious, but he also felt something was off.
But when he investigated back at Stark Industries, he was astonished to find out that Andrew had been fired.
“It was Mr. Stane, sir!” The HR manager was already sweating profusely, not knowing why Tony was so angry.
But he knew he needed to keep his job.
So without hesitation, he mentioned Obadiah’s surname.
“Uncle Obadiah? Why?” Tony didn’t understand.
“It’s because his project failed!” The HR manager said.
Tony was about to go find Obadiah when the main culprit showed up.
Obadiah’s burly bald figure entered the office, explaining to Tony, “The project Andrew was in charge of completely failed. We wasted a hundred million dollars! So I fired him!”
“But his project was experimental! I allowed him to fail!” Tony was angry. “I said I wouldn’t hold him responsible!”
“But I didn’t!” Obadiah replied. “Tony! You have to understand, this is how businesses survive! We need to ruthlessly kick out those who cause trouble!”
“No! You don’t understand, Uncle Obadiah!” Tony wanted to say something, but realizing Obadiah didn’t understand the technical aspects, he lost the desire to speak.
“What’s going on, Tony? You seem off!” Obadiah frowned, noticing Tony’s unusual demeanor, and asked, “I heard rumors that you encountered a monster attack at Jerome Intelligence’s birthday party, and there are many rumors spreading, even that Jerome is the Grasshopper Man, is that true?”
“No!” Tony shook his head, no longer wanting to say anything.
He finally understood why Andrew hated him so much.
“Really? No monsters?” Obadiah frowned.
“No! I’m tired!” Tony didn’t bother with Obadiah anymore, walking out of the office without looking back.
“Don’t forget, you have to go to the Middle East next week to test weapons!” Obadiah reminded him.
Tony didn’t answer, just walked away without turning back.
“This guy!” Obadiah was furious, then remembered something, looking at the HR manager who was already trembling.
“Norton, you submit your resignation report yourself!” Obadiah gave him a cold glance, then walked out of the office.
“Just wait, Tony Stark, you won’t be arrogant for long!”
…
In the valuable Manhattan of New York City.
In a villa in the Upper West Side.
“What are you?” Andrew stared cautiously at the man elegantly sipping coffee in front of him.
“I’ve already told you! We are no longer human! Like you, we are Ophiuchus!” Kurosawa Kyohei put down the coffee on the coaster and looked at Andrew. “I think you only awakened after experiencing death, right?”
“How did you know? Does it mean that one can only have this power after death?” Andrew’s pupils shrank.
“That’s right! Only after experiencing death can one evolve into an Ophiuchus!” Kurosawa nodded, explaining, “But not everyone has this ability! Only a few can evolve after death! Over the years, I’ve witnessed the deaths of millions of people, but only a hundred or so have evolved into Ophiuchus!”
“One in a million?”
“One in a million!”
Kurosawa stood up and walked to Andrew, placing his hands on his shoulders. “So you are very special, Andrew!”
“I was this special before?” Andrew’s face couldn’t help but show a proud smile, but then he quickly thought of something and asked, “Wait, does that mean we are no longer considered human?”
“Of course not! Compared to us, humans are inferior, lowly beings! We Ophiuchus are the true future of humanity!” Kurosawa also looked proud.
“But what about my family?” Andrew suddenly thought of his wife and three children.
“Although it’s regrettable, I still have to tell you! Andrew, there is now a sad barrier between you and them!” Kurosawa approached Andrew, placing his hands on his shoulders. “Now, Ophiuchus is your family! Humans are just our slaves!”
