Rebuked by Nick Fury, Garrett immediately laughed it off.
“Don’t talk like that anymore!”
Nick Fury said sternly.
However, he didn’t think too deeply about it since Garrett was a seasoned member of S.H.I.E.L.D., having been through life and death with him.
“S.H.I.E.L.D. should prioritize monitoring and protecting against Orphinos from now on.
For Orphinos, the benevolent ones should be recruited, the nasty ones should be fought, and the neutral ones should be educated…”
Nick Fury laid out S.H.I.E.L.D.’s action plan regarding the Orphinos, and other agents also offered plenty of suggestions, creating a harmonious atmosphere in the meeting room.
The meeting adjourned.
The agents left the conference room one after another.
Coulson, however, was asked to stay by Nick Fury.
“Coulson, do you think there’s a way to distinguish Orphinos from humans?”
Nick Fury’s gaze was piercing as he looked at Coulson and said:
“We need to conduct a thorough investigation within S.H.I.E.L.D.”
“Fury, don’t you trust our agents?”
Coulson was taken aback, not expecting Nick Fury to say such a thing.
“It’s not about trust, Coulson! We must ensure that S.H.I.E.L.D. is secure! This is the foundation of our mission to maintain world peace!”
Nick Fury’s face was grave.
“Alright, I’ll think of something. But we don’t have any orphans in custody, and only Jerome has them!”
Coulson said:
“Jerome captured two Orphinos last time; perhaps he’s already discovered something.”
“That makes sense, and Agent Hill is currently in touch with the core management of Zola’s intelligence; she should be able to gather a lot of information.”
Nick Fury nodded thoughtfully.
“Some information about Orphinos should not expose Agent Hill’s true identity.”
Coulson nodded and said:
“If we can get this information, we might be able to distinguish orphans from humans.”
“Then let’s proceed with that plan!”
Nick Fury nodded.

“Whew!”
In rapid breaths, Tony Stark awoke.
The damp, dim environment took him a moment to get his bearings.
Pulling the oxygen tube from his nose, Tony felt parched.
But when he tried to reach for a water glass, he found his body restrained by some wires.
Two wires from his chest were connected to a battery.
Tony reached out to break the wires.
“If I were you, I wouldn’t do that!”
A voice suddenly rang in his ear.
Tony squinted and looked over.
In the dim light, he could barely make out that the person seemed to be an Asian middle-aged man.
Tony frantically tore open his shirt and discovered a strange electromagnetic device implanted in his chest.
“What have you done to me?”
Tony immediately asked the Asian man nearby.
“To be precise, it was us! We saved your life, Tony Stark!”
The Asian man stood up and handed water to Tony.
“Ethan is cooking, and I hope you like it. But you’ve been hungry for so many days. Biologically speaking, no matter how bad it tastes, you should be able to eat it.”
“What is this thing? What’s happened to me?”
Tony took the water and gulped it down before continuing to ask.
“It’s an electromagnet. It’s used to attract the shrapnel near your heart!
Dr. Ethan and I have tried our best, but this is all we could remove! There are still many pieces near your heart.
So, for your safety, we had to place an electromagnet in your chest!”
The Asian man explained.
“Exactly! Only this way, you can stay alive.”
A figure emerged from the side, holding a frying pan with a blob of something mushy inside.
It looked unappetizing, but it smelled pretty good.
Tony’s saliva and gastric juices began secreting rapidly.
“Try it, and it’s not as bad as it looks.”
Dr. Ethan handed the frying pan to Tony.
Tony didn’t hesitate and started eating heartily.
“Burp!”
After eating, Tony belched contentedly and looked at the two men, asking:
“Where are we?”
“As you can see, this is a cage.”
The Asian man spread his hands.
“It’s a base of the Ten Rings. The terrorists here are all from the Ten Rings.”
Dr. Ethan said:
“Tony, when I saw them bring you back, I was shocked.”
“The Ten Rings? Never heard of them…”
Tony shook his head and then asked:
“Who are you?”
“My name is Lu Boshi, and I’m an actual person, a biological research expert. I was captured by these damn bandits while searching for a legendary creature on this land!”
The Asian man said through gritted teeth.
“Right, Lu Boshi only arrived a week before you!”
Dr. Ethan said helplessly:
“My name is Ethan, and I’m a physicist. Tony, we’ve met before at the Bern Tech Conference.”
“I don’t remember.”
“I was as drunk as you were. I don’t remember anything either.”
Dr. Ethan smiled gently.
As the three were discussing.
Crash!
Suddenly, a door on the side burst open.
“Quick, get up. Those damn guys are here!”
Dr. Ethan and Lu Boshi’s expressions turned severe as they watched the cave entrance.
In Tony’s puzzled gaze, a group of armed terrorists approached them.
“Damn, they’re holding the weapons I produced! Why do they have my weapons?”
Tony frowned.
“Stop talking, they’re here!”
Dr. Ethan warned him.
A group of terrorists came up to Tony.
The leader, seeing the awakened Tony Stark, appeared pleasantly surprised.
He rattled off in an incomprehensible language.
But Dr. Ethan helped translate for him.
Soon, Tony understood why the terrorists had kidnapped him.
Turns out, the terrorists wanted him to replicate his own Jericho missiles.
Initially, Tony naturally refused, but under the terrorists’ coercion, he soon agreed with them.
The three captives huddled around a fire in the dark cave for warmth.
“Tony, I know you don’t want this, but it’s all been determined. The military is looking for you, but they will unlikely find you. We only survive if we cooperate with them.”
Dr. Ethan comforted Tony.
“We will survive, but not by cooperating with them!”
Tony suddenly looked up.
“What do you want to do then?”
Both Dr. Ethan and Lu Boshi looked at him curiously.
“Ever heard of Ant-Man? My good friend’s masterpiece, I think I can do it too!”
