In Marvel, People are Kamen Rider - Chapter 36
“Yes, this is the Sanctuary of Asgard!” the girl in the blue uniform smiled and replied. “I’m the receptionist here; you can call me Smartlady!
“Welcome to our sanctuary, where we strive to provide a safe environment for the Asgardians!” Hearing Smartlady’s response, the three people sighed in relief.
They exchanged looks, their eyes flickering with surprise and relief. Ever since they became Asgardians, they had lived in fear and insecurity.
They had all inadvertently exposed themselves due to losing control and had been afraid of being discovered and pursued by the police.
Especially after the incident at school, the police and S.H.I.E.L.D. had intensified their scrutiny of their kind.
The red endangered theme prompted them to flee their original environments and reunite. They finally found this sanctuary through some information, which greatly comforted them.
“That’s great! No need to worry about the police chasing us anymore!” the burly man said excitedly.
“Yeah! We can finally sleep peacefully!” added the man who looked like a programmer.
The young girl’s eyes were slightly red with emotion. She gripped Smartlady’s hand tightly and said, “Thank you for sheltering us!”
The intelligent lady gently patted the girl’s hand and smiled, “Don’t mention. From now on, this will be your own, and we will train you to become a qualified Asgardian!”
“A qualified Asgardian? What does that mean?” the three of them were confused.
“You’ll understand soon!” The intelligent lady said with a mysterious smile, then of them along.
Along the way, they saw many others who were also Asgardians, which relaxed them considerably.
This place was a sanctuary for Asgardians, and they lived well.
The intelligent lady brought the three into an office at the top of the building.
The face of the president, the supreme leader of this Asgard Sanctuary, quickly came into view.
“This is our president, who will lead us Asgardians to glory!” Smartlady introduced the identity of the president.
“Hello!” the president greeted them with a warm smile.
“Hello, President!” the three replied hastily to Murakami.
“Mr. President, what must we do to stay in this sanctuary? Do we need to pay rent?” After exchanging pleasantries, the three immediately asked Murakami.
They were a bit nervous, as none of them were wealthy.
“Ha! Rent…” Murakami couldn’t help but laugh, “As Asgardians, isn’t it effortless to make money?
I don’t lack money, and Asgardians won’t lack it either.
If you want to stay here, there’s only one thing you need to do: endure the training and become a qualified Asgardian!”
“To become a qualified Asgardian, what should we do?” the three were curious.
“About that, Robert will teach you!” Murakami said with a mysterious smile, then made a phone call.
“Hello, Mr. President,” a deep voice came from the other end.
“Robert, we’ve got three recruits! They’re your responsibility now. Make sure you take this seriously; don’t have a repeat of what happened with Andrew last time!”
“Understood.”
After the call ended, a man wearing sunglasses entered the room.
“Boss!” The man looked very gentlemanly as he greeted Murakami.
“These are the three newcomers. Make sure you teach them well!” Murakami said.
“Perfect timing, our brethren infiltrated in S.H.I.E.L.D. have asked for our help. Take them with you to assist!”
“Understood!”
The man named Robert glanced over the three people, a gentle smile forming on his face:
“Let’s go! The training starts now!”
“Alright.”
The three, somewhat bewildered, followed Robert.
…
S.H.I.E.L.D.
We are located in the suburbs of New York, a hub base.
This is one of the three original official headquarters of S.H.I.E.L.D.
After decades of development, S.H.I.E.L.D. Now, it has several bases around the world!
The most famous is the Triskelion on Theodore Roosevelt Island in Washington, D.C.
Then there’s the hub base in the suburbs of New York, which is extensively used as a central rallying point and provides ongoing support for operations.
Next is the Headquarters, located at 219 West 47th Street in New York, an ordinary office building similar to the United Nations Building, which served as S.H.I.E.L.D.’s main office base until the Triskelion was officially utilized.
Besides the three headquarters, there are several smaller bases.
For instance, the Playground in Virginia near Washington, D.C., which was a base of the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve, the predecessor of S.H.I.E.L.D.), later renovated by Nick Fury into a secret S.H.I.E.L.D. base known only to Fury himself.
Then there’s Camp Lehigh, where Captain America was created and has been used for use ever since.
The Slingshot Base, where S.H.I.E.L.D. disposes of dangerous technology! There are always hazardous weapons in anyone’s hands; when such weapons emerge, they are sent to the Slingshot, loaded into a rocket nicknamed “Slingshot,” and launched towards the sun. This procedure is also known as the “Slingshot.”
However, Nick Fury often launches empty rockets, keeping those dangerous weapons private—the Sandbox in Africa, like a CDC, specifically for studying hazardous materials.
In North America, there’s a base known as the Retreat, where the Project T.A.H.I.T.I. to revive Coulson was conducted.
Located in Las Vegas is the Fridge, S.H.I.E.L.D.’s central detention and containment facility, housing lunatics, superhumans, and the world’s top fugitives.
The high-risk weapons supposed to be launched into the sun and destroyed at the Slingshot Base were also secretly kept there by Nick Fury.
Besides, several other facilities like the Service Center, the Treehouse, Shangri-La, the East African Headquarters, the Coventry in Egypt, the Maze, and numerous other prisons and safe houses!
The funds to build or renovate these prisons were painstakingly embezzled by Nick Fury, creating such a vast and advanced organization as S.H.I.E.L.D.
At this moment, inside the hub base.
The base was in lockdown, with iron shutters sealing all doors and windows. Not even a mosquito could quickly get in or out.
“Has Nick Fury’s team arrived yet? Why are they so slow?”
Inside the base, Level 8 Agent Victoria Hand and her fully armed agents looked anxiously at the sealed laboratory door in front of them.
