“Agent Phil Coulson, just to confirm with you again, are you sure that this new batch of recruits at the S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy are all Asgardians?” Victoria Hand looked at Phil Coulson beside her, questioning.

“I’m certain, Hand!” Coulson nodded, his expression grave: “The full agency physical two days ago was specifically to check for the presence of Asgardians within our ranks. The other agents are all clear, but almost all of this batch of new S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy recruits need help!

We just got the results, and I heard these guys had already come to your side for an internship!”

“Damn it, why didn’t you and Nick Fury tell us earlier?” Agent Hand was very angry.

“It needed to be done secretly!” Coulson spread his hands in resignation.

“Then you should have at least informed me! Don’t I deserve to know this as a Level 8 agent?”

A hand was visibly annoyed.

“Sorry, Hand. The Director said this investigation was to be kept from everyone,” Coulson shook his head.

“So what do we do now? We’ve already locked down the hub, but there are over a dozen innocent recruits apart from those eight Asgardian recruits you mentioned.

They’re locked in there with those eight Asgardians; they might be in danger if we keep waiting!
The rest can’t come to harm, especially since two promising recruits are among them!” Victoria Hand said through gritted teeth: “If Nick Fury’s people don’t arrive within three minutes, I’ll have to go in and rescue them myself!
Sitwell, Blake, be ready!”

“Roger that!”

Upon hearing Agent Hand’s orders, the two agents by her side were immediately prepared for action.

One was a lean man with a receding hairline much like Coulson’s, and the other was bald.

They were none other than Level 7 Agents Felix Blake and Jasper Sitwell.

Level 8 Agent Victoria Hand was the commander within the hub base, and these two were her right-hand men.

“They’re here!” Just as everyone was waiting, Coulson’s eyes lit up, and he immediately said:

“Open the hangar!”

An agent pressed a button.

The previously sealed ceiling of the hall opened upward, unfolding like two bird wings.

Boom! Though the sound was loud, the people were invisible; only the fierce wind informed everyone that something massive was about to land.

Everyone quickly dispersed to the sides, clearing the spacious hall.

Bang! The entire floor shook.

It seemed something heavy had landed.

Then, in an instant, a considerable warplane appeared in the previously empty hall.

The hatch opened.

Clint, Natasha, Melinda, Garrett, and other senior agents walked out, leading hundreds of fully armed agents.

“Coulson! Hand!”

Clint, Natasha, Melinda, and Garrett led this operation team.

“You’ve finally arrived, and the situation here is not looking good…” Coulson immediately stepped forward to explain the internal situation to everyone.

“No time to delay. Let’s start the operation immediately!”

The faces of the agents were filled with seriousness.

If nothing unexpected happened, there would be at least eight Asgardians inside.

And their abilities were unknown.

This was undoubtedly a dangerous operation.

“Can we see the dispersal of personnel?” Clint asked Agent Hand.

“Yes! This is the layout of the entire base and the personnel locations,” Agent Hand opened her Stark-branded smartwatch and shared the files with everyone.

“Are we missing something?” Clint frowned.

“Yes! Those eight Asgardians have removed their tracking devices; we don’t know where they’ve gone. The only locations we have are those of the other recruits. We’ve lost track of the Asgardians,” Agent Hand’s face looked grim.

Upon receiving Coulson’s message, she hadn’t remained calm, leading the eight Asgardians to realize they were exposed. They had destroyed their tracking devices and all the cameras, making it impossible to monitor their positions and increasing the difficulty of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents’ mission.

“No matter! Rescuing people is the priority!” Garrett spoke urgently, “Let’s do this, and I’ll team up with Clint to track down the Asgardians.

Natasha, you and Melinda take a team to rescue the youngsters! After the rescue, come help us!”

“Got it!”

The four agents immediately split into two teams, and with Agent Hand opening the door, they cautiously made their way inside.

“Fitz, I’m scared!”

Under the flickering lights, within the tightly closed doors of the lab.

Two figures huddled close together.

“Don’t worry, Jerome, I’ll protect you!” The young man of German descent gripped the hand of the blonde girl beside him. He took a deep breath, trying to remain calm, but the cold sweat on his forehead betrayed his fear.

Although both had earned their first doctoral degrees by seventeen or eighteen, this sudden situation was still unsettling for the unprepared duo.

“Why on earth did they suddenly seal off the entire lab area? Did we do something wrong?”

In this small lab, besides Jerome and Fitz, there were six others present.

Everyone in the lab was anxious, still unaware of what was happening.

“There must be a reason; they wouldn’t just lock us in this lab for no reason,” Fitz frowned, thinking rapidly.

“Do you think this could be a test for the new agents?” A girl looked up, excitedly suggesting, “We just got here, and this happened, and only we newbies are isolated. Maybe it’s a trial for us!”

“What trial though? There’s no crisis here to handle!” A muscular young man muttered.

“No, if it were a test, they wouldn’t need to do this! There were plenty of opportunities on the way here. If they’re doing this in the lab, the cost is just too high,” Fitz shook his head, saying, “I think something did happen! Otherwise, they wouldn’t make such a big deal!”

“I believe Fitz. I also feel that everything is filled with strangeness. It doesn’t seem like a trial,” Jerome agreed with Fitz.

“Hmph! What use is your agreement? Do you think what you feel is right?” The girl who spoke earlier showed a disdainful expression, looking at Fitz and Jerome: “Don’t think you’re the only smart ones in the world! I also got my PhD at twenty-one!”
