In Marvel, People are Kamen Rider - Chapter 38
“Jennifer, don’t get upset! We’re not saying anything against you, just that the situation is off, and it’s better not to act rashly,” Fitz and Jemma quickly explained when they saw the girl getting angry.
“Why should we listen to you?” Jennifer looked at Fitz and Jemma and asked, “Are you always right? What if this is a test? You two want us to stay put. Could it be because you want us all to fail? Then you two sneakily complete the challenge and get to proclaim your genius again!”
“We’re not!” Jemma’s expression showed impatience.
“That’s how you are! Thinking everyone else is a fool, this time…”
“Quiet, everyone! Something is coming!” a young African-American agent suddenly spoke up.
The lab fell silent immediately.
Everyone lowered their breaths to barely audible levels, only able to hear their heartbeats.
Jemma clutched Fitz’s hand tightly.
Bang! The lab door was kicked open.
Several flashlights immediately lit up the lab.
“Are Leopold ‘Leo’ Fitz, Jemma Simmons, Jennifer Jones, and others here?” Melinda May and Natasha Romanoff’s slender figures appeared before everyone.
“It’s Mockingbird and Black Widow! They’ve come to rescue us!” Seeing May’s arrival, the people in the lab immediately showed relieved smiles.
“Yes, it’s us!” Fitz, Jemma, and the others quickly presented their identities, though the people behind May didn’t check closely and just led them away.
“Be careful. Stay close to us!” The agents formed the recruits into a tight formation and quickly retreated.
“Agent May, can I ask what happened in the base? Why was martial law suddenly declared?” Fitz couldn’t help his curiosity as they moved.
“Have you heard of the Asgardians? Among you recruits, eight Asgardians have infiltrated!” Melinda May, gun in hand and vigilant, led the way and responded to Fitz’s question, “Our priority now is to get you innocents out, then deal with the Asgardians.”
“Eight Asgardians! My goodness, there are only nineteen of us!” Fitz was astonished.
“Good! Your trackers are on, and we just need to follow the map. You are seven red dots, the main group and the other four red dots are in three different rooms…” Melinda muttered to herself.
“Seven red dots, but aren’t there eight of us?” Fitz frowned.
“Eight people?”
Hearing this, Melinda May and Natasha Romanoff’s pupils constricted, and quickly spun their weapons around.

Before anyone could react, a pair of large, black hands had already twisted the heads off of two agents. Jennifer was among them, falling with eyes wide open.
“Exposed so soon?” The previously calm African-American young man’s face now wore a sinister smile.
His body began to swell and distort, transforming into the form of an Asgardian.
“Odin, you are an Asgardian! You killed Jennifer!” Fitz and the others were panic-stricken as they watched the young man transform into the armored form of an Asgardian.
“Ha! Worthless humans, I don’t care if you live or die!” The Asgardian’s hands now bore a shield and a large sword.
Clang, clang, clang! Natasha and Melinda’s bullets shot at the shield were blocked entirely.
“Die!” The Asgardian swung his sword, slicing a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent in half, who instantly turned to ash.
“Damn it!” Melinda and Natasha exchanged glances and immediately switched their firearms to grenade launchers.
“Clear out!”
As the crowd dispersed, Melinda and Natasha pressed the triggers.
Two grenades ferociously flew toward the Asgardian, knocking him back down the corridor before exploding.
Boom! The shockwave shattered the glass in the surrounding laboratories.
“Let’s go!” Melinda and Natasha gestured for Fitz and the others to retreat while also beginning to report the situation to Garrett and Clint.
“This guy’s armor is tough; our armor-piercing bullets might not be effective.”
Despite the explosion, the Asgardian stood up unharmed, looking down at the scorched marks on his body without concern, and began walking towards the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.
“Who would want to become a monstrous creature like you?” Natasha retorted as she loaded armor-piercing bullets and began firing at the Asgardian.
The others quickly changed magazines, and streams of fire licked towards the Asgardian.
Clang, clang, clang! The armor-piercing bullets created minor dents in the Asgardian’s shield before falling harmlessly to the ground.
However, when the bullets hit his skin, they penetrated, causing damage.
“It works, but we must hit his body!” Seeing this, Natasha and Melinda were relieved.
With their marksmanship, they could naturally bypass the Asgardian’s shield and hit his body directly!
The team opened fire at full force, their bullets cunningly bypassing the Asgardian’s shield and hitting his body.
The Asgardian screamed in pain, retreating step by step, constantly trying to block with his shield, but some bullets inevitably penetrated his body, causing effective damage.
“Damn you! If you don’t come out, I’m going to die!” The Asgardian roared in despair, his voice frighteningly loud, causing the nearby laboratory glass to tremble.
“Useless thing, just to hold them off for half an hour, and you can’t even manage that!”
As the Asgardian called for help, several gray figures swiftly appeared before them.
Five more Asgardians came to support, their eyes fixed menacingly on Natasha and her team.
