Kamen Rider Marvel - Chapter 279
Tony heard hurried footsteps approaching.
He looked towards the staircase and saw Pepper rushing in.
“Pepper, you’re here. Check out my new armor.”
“Tony, something terrible has happened.”
Pepper ignored Tony’s excitement, her face serious.
Tony frowned, confused. “What happened?”
“Happy is injured. He’s in the hospital right now.”
“Happy? How did he get hurt? I sent him to check on the subsidiary.”
Pepper said, “It’s my fault. I told him to return, and he got caught in an explosion.”
“An explosion? How could that happen out of nowhere?”
Tony couldn’t understand.
“It might be related to our visit to the subsidiary. The police said the collapse was intentional. So, I think…”
“That bastard, targeting Happy.”
Tony’s jovial demeanor vanished as he fumed.
He realized Happy might have been targeted because of this.
He punched the ground hard.
The thick steel floor was dented deeply, and cracks spread outwards.
“Tony?”
Pepper called out worriedly.
“I’m fine. Sorry for worrying you. Pepper, stay home and don’t go anywhere. I’ll handle this.”
“I’ll avenge Happy.”
Tony spoke as he walked upstairs, each step leaving an imprint on the floor.
“Jarvis.”
Tony called for his AI butler.
“Yes, sir. What do you need?”
“Retrieve Happy’s itinerary, any suspicious vehicles and the police investigation results.”
“Right away, sir. Accessing police and traffic systems.”
Meanwhile, in New York, atop a skyscraper.
Kamen Rider Demons, also known as Spider-Man, stood watch over the city.
Peter Parker, as usual, was patrolling at night.
Suddenly, he sensed something off.
He stood upright from his previous upside-down position.
His eyes locked on a suspicious man on the sidewalk.
As Spider-Man, Peter had a sixth sense for danger, known as his Spider-Sense.
Even as Kamen Rider Demons, this ability was amplified.
Peter’s intuition told him this man was dangerous.
Without hesitation, he swung a web and followed the man.
The man looked around nervously, heading into a dark alley.
Fewer people were around as he moved until he reached a dead end and stopped.
Waiting, there was a burly man in green-brown clothing.
This man was New York’s infamous thug, William Baker.
“You’re late,” Baker said.
“Hey, I had to be careful. Haven’t you heard about that meddling Spider-Man lately?”
Baker understood and asked, “Did you bring it?”
The man nodded, opening his coat to reveal a small box.
Inside was another Gaia Memory.
Baker reached out, but the man pulled back.
“Money first, then the goods.”
Baker smirked, pulling out a wad of cash.
“Here, take it.”
The man’s attitude shifted upon seeing the money.
“Alright, here you go.”
Just as Baker was about to take the box, a thin web shot down from above and attached itself to it.
Peter pulled the box towards him.
Baker reacted quickly, slapping the box out of Peter’s grasp.
The Gaia Memory fell to the ground.
“Good evening, folks. I heard you calling me.”
Peter, clinging to the wall, greeted them.
The men panicked.
“It’s… it’s Spider-Man!”
Peter corrected, “Now it’s Kamen Rider Demons. But you can still call me Spider-Man if you like…”
Before he finished, the men fled.
Peter chuckled, “Can’t you at least let me finish?”
Baker, unfazed, focused on the Gaia Memory.
Peter saw his intention.
“Sir, please don’t do that. I don’t want to hurt you.”
“Hurt me? Let’s see who gets hurt.”
Baker lunged for the Gaia Memory.
Peter shot webs, but Baker was quicker.
Baker grabbed the Gaia Memory and pressed it to his neck.
Instantly, he began transforming, his body turning to sand and growing larger.
The Sandman emerged.
Peter’s webs lost their grip on Baker, who pulled Peter towards him with great force.
Sandman Baker swung a massive fist at Peter.
“Can’t we talk this out?”
Bam!
Peter was smashed into a wall.
“Damn, I knew this would happen.”

Peter was embedded in the wall but unharmed, thanks to his Kamen Rider form.
Shaking his head, he looked at Sandman helplessly.
“Buddy, the game’s over.”
Sandman smirked, “I’m feeling good, so I don’t want to hurt you. Leave now.”
Peter laughed, “I’m the sheriff around here.”
“Is that so?”
Sandman swung his massive fist again.
Peter swung on his webs, kicking at Sandman.
His feet passed through Sandman’s chest, which filled with sand and trapped his legs.
“Oh no!”
Sandman grabbed Peter, slamming him to the ground.
Peter quickly recovered, shooting more webs.
Sandman’s chest formed holes that quickly refilled with sand.
Seeing this, Peter cursed.
“Damn, this is tough. Looks like I’ll need more power.”
Peter pressed the Demons Driver buttons.
“ADD!”
He took out the Grasshopper Vistamp.
Pressing the stamp’s top, it glowed green.
“Grasshopper!”
He then pressed it onto the driver.
