Kamen Rider Marvel - Chapter 314
The situation was becoming increasingly tense and awkward for Shang-Chi.
“No words, huh?” he said. “Then I’ll beat the words out of you!”
Without hesitation, Shang-Chi aimed a punch at the face of the nearest burly thug. His fist landed with surprising force.
Bang!
The thug staggered back a few steps, clutching his face in pain.
“Don’t underestimate him! Attack together!” the thug yelled, warning his comrades while reeling from the punch.
The others had seen the punch and were shocked by the strength of this seemingly slender young man. They were also startled by the change in Shang-Chi’s demeanor.
He now exuded an aura of danger and determination, his eyes burning with a fierce intensity that sent shivers down their spines.
No longer taking him lightly, the thugs closed in, surrounding Shang-Chi. They launched coordinated attacks, each punch and kick aiming to bring him down.
Despite his training, the combined assault was overwhelming. Shang-Chi managed to dodge and counter some blows, but the sheer number of opponents soon took its toll.
He was knocked to the ground, a heavy boot pressing down on his chest. One of the thugs bent down, reaching for his neck.
Shang-Chi thought they were going to kill him, but instead, the thug ripped off the necklace from around his neck.
“They’re after the necklace?” Shang-Chi realized.
“Give it back!” he shouted, struggling to get free. “That necklace is precious to me!”
The thug held the necklace up, examining it briefly before pocketing it. Shang-Chi’s rage and desperation grew.
Suddenly, he noticed something fall in front of him with a clatter.
A red card deck with a golden dragon head design.
Instinctively, Shang-Chi reached out and grabbed the deck. A powerful, otherworldly force surged through him as he touched it, accompanied by a dragon’s roar.
The card deck unleashed energy in an instant, pushing the thugs back and filling Shang-Chi with newfound strength.
The unexpected power from the card deck invigorated Shang-Chi. He rose to his feet, the red card deck glowing in his hand.
The thugs, momentarily stunned by the burst of energy, quickly recovered and renewed their assault. But Shang-Chi was different now.
With swift, precise movements, he began to fight back. The dragon’s power flowing through him enhanced his speed and strength, allowing him to counter the thugs’ attacks with ease.
One thug swung at him, but Shang-Chi sidestepped and countered with a powerful kick, sending the thug crashing into the bus seats.
Another thug lunged at him from behind, but Shang-Chi spun around, blocking the attack and delivering a devastating punch to the thug’s midsection, knocking the wind out of him.
The remaining thugs hesitated, clearly intimidated by Shang-Chi’s newfound prowess. Seizing the opportunity, Shang-Chi pressed the attack, his movements fluid and powerful.
He felt more in tune with the dragon’s power with each strike. The red card deck pulsed in his hand as if urging him on.
Finally, only one thug remained standing. Desperation in his eyes, the thug backed away, realizing he was no match for Shang-Chi.
“Who sent you?” Shang-Chi demanded, advancing on the thug.
The thug, now visibly frightened, stammered, “W-we were sent by your father… Wenwu… He wants you back.”
Shang-Chi’s expression hardened. “Tell him I’m not coming back.”
With that, he delivered a final blow, knocking the thug out cold.
Breathing heavily, Shang-Chi looked down at the card deck in his hand. The golden dragon’s head seemed to gleam with approval.
“Thank you,” he whispered, feeling connected to the mysterious power.
He knew this was only the beginning. With the dragon’s power, he was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, including his father’s relentless pursuit.
