Kurumi Tokisaki's Planar Journey - Chapter 464
While enjoying the thrill of speeding, Irisviel hesitated, unsure, “Could we be under the witch’s spell?”
“Maybe.” Saber frowned, feeling unusually off. Could that witch have affected her somehow?
Distracted, Saber glanced outside and saw a shadow flash past in the car’s headlights!
“Irisviel!”
“Screech!—”
Irisviel stepped hard on the brakes. Fortunately, the car wasn’t going too fast, and it stopped just in time before the shadow.
“What happened?”
A bit flustered, Irisviel looked at Saber, who twisted her wrist, the pain sharpening her senses. She squinted, “It’s a Servant’s presence.”
“A Servant?” Irisviel quickly recalled, “Could it be Caster?”
“Get out of the car; stay behind me.”
“Oh, okay!”
The luxury car’s high beams illuminated a Servant dressed like an ancient magician standing opposite them.
Strange…
Saber felt the wind with her fingertips, ensuring she could immediately arm herself.
This Servant, who seemed to be Caster, didn’t seem hostile towards her, just like the witch.
‘What’s going on?’
Saber frowned, unable to come up with a good explanation.
“Ah, the noble and beautiful Holy Maiden, I finally see you again! The Holy Grail has responded to me, only the Holy Grail…”
……
Sakura had already fallen asleep. At her young age, the night’s battle had left her in awe. She was still excited when Kurumi returned.
Finally, Red Queen used a small spell to put the little girl into a deep sleep.
“Master, Caster has found Saber.”
“Oh? Can you confirm their location?”
“Yes, the satellite has tracked the vehicle.”
There were few stars in the sky, and the ‘Nightmare’ with dark red streaks was perfect for hiding in the night sky.
In the Marvel Universe, only advanced countries could use radar to detect the ‘Nightmare’ when it moved at high speed.
However, before any warning or deployment could start, the ‘Nightmare’ would usually be out of radar range.
By the way, Stark Industries made all the radars capable of detecting the ‘Nightmare’ at high speed.
In the 90s, Yuzhou Island didn’t have such technology.
Even if the ‘Nightmare’ carried a few missiles and flew around, their radar wouldn’t pick up a thing!
When the ‘Nightmare’ hovered above the luxury car, Saber and Caster’s conversation seemed to have fallen apart.
Caster, emotional and tearful, seemed full of regret!
Saber donned her skirt armor, holding the hidden Excalibur in one hand.
A slash flew past Caster, cutting a small section of the cement ground.
Even so, it only left Caster dumbfounded, crying out that God had deceived his beloved Holy Maiden!
Kurumi couldn’t see anything special in Caster’s “dumbfounded” expression; his eyes were too striking.
Forget Jeanne; even the French populace didn’t treat him as a creature tainted by sorcery, which was already a blessing.
Under Saber’s intimidation, perhaps Caster saw her as Jeanne, showing no mercy.
Caster left, the French Marshal disappearing into spirit form after saying something incomprehensible to Saber.
“Red Queen, keep an eye on Saber. We’re going to track Caster.”
“Understood, Master! Although these satellite models are indeed old, monitoring vehicles is no problem.”
“Alright, let’s go.”
The ‘Nightmare’s’ crimson electronic eye scanned Saber and Irisviel below, then vanished into the night wind!
“Saber? Are you okay?”
Irisviel was very worried. Saber’s state and the pressure from the witch were overwhelming her thoughts.
Saber stared at the area where the ‘Nightmare’ had been, her expression grim, “We’re being watched.”
“Who? The assassin was killed, wasn’t he?”
Saber recalled the assassin described by the witch, feeling this wasn’t so simple.
“Irisviel, let’s go back!”
“Okay.”
……
“Tap, tap, tap~”
Black boots stepped on stone slabs, the surrounding walls covered in blood, the stench filling the air.
If an ordinary person were here, they’d probably be sickened by the smell, but Kurumi’s expression remained unchanged.
“Tap~”
Kurumi stopped, frowning slightly. Ahead was a mass of flesh, meat, and blood mixed into a large pool of gore.
Judging by the aura, these were all human.
Such scenes were rare, even in the morally bankrupt, chaotic end times Kurumi had seen.
Kurumi walked forward, her shoe soles stained with blood, pulling up and breaking as she stepped again.
In the sea of flesh and blood, Kurumi’s stomach churned slightly. Her sharp vision allowed her to see clearly.
Dozens of small bodies, skinned and boned, hung around a pillar.
The smell of blood was so strong that even flies didn’t bother them.
“Ew~” Red Queen pinched her nose in disgust, “Is this Caster insane? Slaughtering so many ordinary beings with a heroic spirit’s body. Even if others don’t kill him, Alaya won’t let him off.”
Kurumi looked around, “So many bodies? Fuyuki City’s efficiency is disappointing.”
Red Queen waved her hand, parting the sea of flesh and blood, pushing the gore aside, blood seeping out constantly!
“This isn’t just Fuyuki. Surrounding cities might have suffered too.”
Red Queen recorded seriously, “Most victims are human children, with poor ability to discern right from wrong. Of course… with Caster’s nature, adults wouldn’t escape his grasp either.”
“This place is worse than a bug nest.”
For the first time, Kurumi’s pretty face showed such disgust. This wasn’t anime; the blood and flesh were vividly depicted.
The reality wasn’t a third-person perspective; this place would drive any ordinary being mad!
Even Saber, who had seen mountains of corpses and seas of blood, would find this place repulsive.
Complete corpses and dismembered bodies were entirely different!
“Caster is more disgusting than the old bug.” Kurumi looked away from the dismembered bodies. Her divine nature stirred, and she was ready to purify this area!
“By the way,” Kurumi continued into the darkness, “Did you find the old bug?”
“He’s been at the Matou household, but those engraved worms are hard to find. Unless we purge Fuyuki City…”
“Have ‘Nightmare’ search bit by bit when there’s time.”
“Understood.”
The stench was overwhelming, but Kurumi no longer breathed usually. Her divine traits began to manifest.
Her wine-red pupils glowed with a faint gold at the edges, her dark hair showing hints of pure white.
“Tch, Caster is cautious.”
