Kurumi Tokisaki's Planar Journey - Chapter 473
“No, it’s not like that…”
Tohsaka Rin grabbed Sakura’s small shoulders, looking confused. “What’s not?”
Sakura shook her head, trying to change the subject.
“Sister, have you seen Uncle Kariya lately?”
“He said he was going to the Matou house to find you, then Father made me and Mother leave Fuyuki City, and we haven’t seen him since.”
At this point, Rin puffed out her cheeks, pretending to be angry. “Uncle Kariya hasn’t given me any gifts for a long time. Next time we see him, he has to make it up to me!”
“Sister…”
“Sss—”
“Hmm?”
Rin took out the pocket watch that could detect magical energy from her pocket.
The needle pointed straight ahead and kept trembling! Rin remembered what her father had said about this situation…
She grabbed Sakura and pulled her. “We have to run!”
“What?”
Still confused, Sakura felt herself being dragged toward the alley by Rin.
Shirou floated in the air, staring intently at the rooftop! There was the scent of a magical creature there!
“Splat!—”
The sound of something disgusting and slimy splashing onto the ground made Rin’s eyes widen in disbelief as the magical creature unfolded its form. It was the same bizarre creature with extendable tentacles and fanged mouths that had fought Saber!
The night air seemed polluted by the creature’s filth, leaving Rin’s mind blank and her eyes wide with pupils shrinking inward!
The pocket watch used to detect magical energy was clutched tightly in Rin’s trembling hand.
Staying here… meant certain death!
The creature swung its tentacles, with purple-black suckers dotted along them, which were definitely not just decorative!
While such creatures could be easily slain by Saber, for ordinary humans… the suckers could suck the blood out of their bodies!
With a gaping mouth lined with rotating teeth, even in the dim light, one could see the disgusting saliva hanging from its fangs.
“Shirou!”
“Understood, Master!”
While Rin was still stunned, Sakura had already reacted. Although the creature looked horrifying, with Shirou and ‘Nightmare’ protecting her, she felt no fear!
Even though Sakura knew she shouldn’t be afraid, her legs couldn’t help but tremble at the sight of the creature.
Such things had a devastating effect on young girls.
Even if it were Saber, the legendary King of Britain, she would probably show a moment of fear at this age, just like Rin.
“Bang, bang, bang!—”
A series of small magic bullets, each the size of an adult’s thumbnail, blasted into the creature!
The power of these bullets was even more astonishing than a large-caliber handgun!
Shirou’s small body contained a vast amount of magical power, and she unleashed a barrage of magic bullets at the creature as if they cost nothing!
Sakura and Rin screamed, quickly stepping back to avoid the splattering blood.
The creature’s blood was as red as a human’s. Under the barrage of magic bullets, the beast was blown to pieces!
Without enough magical power to support its regeneration, and with its tentacles cooked by the high temperature of the magic bullets, the creature was rendered helpless!
Aesthetically, it even surpassed the ‘Spiritual Blade Protection’ of Lightning Cutter.
Shirou stood between the creature and Sakura, her small hands emitting white smoke, with many magic circuits still faintly visible.
Like an overheated gun.
There was nothing she could do about it. Red Queen had calculated extensively at home, and without enough precious materials, Shirou’s body would quickly overheat under high output.
Rubbing her chin, Red Queen raised her eyebrows, with numerous design plans appearing in the magic circuit network.
“Maybe we should try removing her clothes?”
…
Red Queen’s idea was unknown to Sakura, who would definitely not agree if she knew.
Aside from some blood and body parts on the ground, the creature was nearly half-melted by the high-temperature magic bullets!
“Buzz!~”
Suddenly, a swarm of insects flew in, devouring the remaining creature in an instant, even the pools of blood on the ground!
Shirou turned around, with her magic circuits lighting up again on her arm.
“After a battle, it’s important to clean up the scene. It’s troublesome if ordinary people see this.”
Rin and Sakura turned around at the voice…
“Uncle Kariya?!”
Across the street, a hooded young man with white hair smiled bitterly in the shadows.
He hadn’t expected to find Rin while following the magical trail, and even more surprisingly, Sakura was here too!
Glancing at Shirou floating in the air, he felt something was off.
He had already sent a message to Aoi. Kariya stepped forward, but his way of walking made the two children wary.
Maybe it was better if he hadn’t shown up.
…
“Boom!~”
A bull chariot thundered down, its momentum overwhelming, plowing two deep furrows of lightning on the ground!
Saber stood ready, her master nowhere to be found, and Irisviel was still recovering from her injuries. The castle had endured much fire.
Just as they were about to rest, they were attacked again!
Saber gritted her teeth, donning her skirt armor. Tonight had seen repeated assaults, and it wasn’t surprising that other masters wanted to take advantage.
But this aura was unmistakably that of King Iskandar!
Saber’s left hand clenched, the pain surging through her nerves! The damaged tendons were irreparable, significantly weakening her strength!
If the King of Conquerors wanted to attack head-on, they were in serious trouble!
“Sky~”
The King of Conquerors drove his chariot straight into the castle’s main hall. It wasn’t because his chariot was too small or the castle gate too large.
The place had been ravaged by Kariya’s frenzy, with the edges already in ruins! Even the gate had a big hole!
Iskandar looked around, not surprised by the damage, as if it was expected!
“King of Conquerors!” Saber ran out, sword in hand, glaring at him. “Do you think I’m easy to bully by coming here like this?”
Iskandar scratched his head, “Hey, Saber, why aren’t you wearing your modern outfit?”
He patted his white shirt with the world map on it.
Though it was the largest size, it was still tight on the King’s muscular frame, almost bursting at the seams!
“King of Conquerors, what do you mean by this?”
Saber frowned, unable to understand why he had come so aggressively but without any intent to fight.
“Oh, this?” Iskandar turned and pulled out a round wooden barrel from his chariot.
“I heard you have a castle, so I came to drink with you! But it seems this place is a bit small?”
Looking up, “Isn’t there a yard where we can drink in such a big castle?”
“Of course there is.”
Saber relaxed her grip on the sword. Though she couldn’t understand his intentions, he seemed not to be hostile. It would be too rude to remain on guard.
Meanwhile, the Assassins monitored by Red Queen were gathering around Saber, even those stationed outside the villa were being called away.
Red Queen licked her lips, her red eyes sparkling, “Now you can’t escape, can you?”
“Let’s see what the master is up to!”
On the street, the King of Conquerors first encountered Gilgamesh, then Gilgamesh “coincidentally” met Kurumi, so…
In the castle courtyard, Saber sat opposite the red-haired man, with a mismatched barrel of wine nearby.
For two ‘kings,’ such wine was quite common.
“Riffraff, you’re holding a banquet in this setting.”
Golden light gradually gathered, forming a human figure. Ripples in the air appeared beside him.
His words were filled with disdain.
Saber tensed, “Archer!”
“Don’t worry, don’t worry,” Iskandar reassured. “I met him on the street while buying wine, so I invited him. After all, he also claims to be a ‘king.'”
“But I don’t know why the witch followed.”
“As the queen of the King of Heroes, it’s only fitting to attend the banquet.”
“You…”
“I didn’t come on my own,” Kurumi chuckled. “I was invited by him.”
Gilgamesh crossed his arms, glancing at Kurumi. “Hmph, woman. You’ll be mine eventually!”
Kurumi blinked, “I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed. I’m used to freedom…”
“I also have a taste for free-spirited pets.”
Kurumi narrowed her eyes, “Talking to you isn’t pleasant.”
“Hahaha!” Gilgamesh stepped ahead of Kurumi, “Witch, just entertain me.”
“Then why am I here? A dancer?”
Gilgamesh turned his head, “A witch who can dance? Rare indeed.”
“It’s a metaphor.”
“I’d like to see the witch dance.”
“I’m afraid you can’t afford it.”
“Woman, sometimes it’s better to stay by a man’s side.”
Saber, who was about to stand, sat back down. She didn’t understand why the usually reckless witch seemed wary of Archer.
But it was good news. If the witch turned the Holy Grail War into chaos, no one could handle her.
Now, while Archer seemed difficult, he could temporarily hold the witch in check, which was an unexpected benefit.
Saber glanced at Gilgamesh and Kurumi, choosing to remain silent.
“Hey, you golden guy, take this.”
Gilgamesh didn’t mind the nickname, but frowned at the offered wine.
“Is this fit for a king?”
Iskandar scratched his head, “This is the best wine on the street. I think it’s pretty good.”
“Hah!” Gilgamesh’s expression was haughty. “Let me show you what real fine wine is.”
He made a gesture, golden ripples appearing in the air, producing a jug of wine.
He then produced four golden cups, matching the golden jug.
Kurumi narrowed her eyes, her red pupils reflecting the “King’s Treasury,” as if trying to see through it.
Iskandar was excited, taking the jug immediately. The mere fact that it was held in such a vessel showed it was extraordinary!
Gilgamesh sat on the ground, seeing Kurumi across from him, and said, “Witch, sit by my side!”
His tone was commanding, making Kurumi freeze. If she weren’t a high-fidelity spirit, she’d have attacked Gilgamesh!
“Archer, as a ‘king,’ such coercion is unbecoming.”
“Coercion isn’t a king’s way.”
After Kurumi spoke, Saber added, drawing Gilgamesh’s attention to her.
“Should a king be polite to enemies? Should he be courteous when facing what he desires?”
Saber looked at Gilgamesh. “That’s different. What you did was tyrannical.”
“Hah.” Gilgamesh shook his head, turning to Kurumi.
“For the things I desire, I take them. That’s human nature. A king just does it better.”
“So, you’re interested in me?”
“I must say, your actions have intrigued me.”
Kurumi knelt opposite Gilgamesh, smiling. “What do you like about me?”
Kurumi stared at Gilgamesh. “My looks, my figure, or my personality?”
“All of it!” Gilgamesh took the cup from Iskandar. “Few are as interesting as you.”
“My looks and figure aside, which man isn’t entranced by you?”
“You overestimate me. They just want to tear off my clothes and use me until they’re spent.”
Kurumi’s smile didn’t waver. “Isn’t that what you want?”
“Without this appearance, would you still be interested in me? Would you still be aroused?”
Gilgamesh frowned, “Comparing yourself to a mad dog? Witch, didn’t you see yourself as lowly!”
“Is anyone born noble?” Kurumi looked into the clear wine.
“Are you talking about yourself?”
Gilgamesh stiffened. Kurumi’s lips moved, but no sound came out.
“Half-god, half-man Gilgamesh.”
Gilgamesh looked at Kurumi, trying to see through her.
“If you lost your power, would your appearance cause more trouble?”
Kurumi didn’t mind Gilgamesh’s threat, her eyes twinkling. “Would you still want me?”
“Why not? A soulless shell! Witch, what are you plotting?”
After Gilgamesh said this, Iskandar and Saber focused on Kurumi, both slightly displeased.
Kurumi didn’t mind, smiling at the three kings. “I’m just dealing with some pests.”
Iskandar turned, sensing a surge of magical energy from that direction!
