“Master, help me!”
The Red Queen’s urgent voice reached Kurumi’s ears through the “Nightmare.”
Kurumi’s pale golden eyes glanced towards the “Nightmare” and then back at the vast field of divine radiance before her, seemingly comparing the two with no intention of intervening.
The Red Queen, helpless, activated “Nightmare’s” defensive armor. The aggressive bone wings on its back unfolded and extended around the front, completely encasing the “Nightmare” holding the “Chains of Heaven.”
The energy reactor charged the defensive systems, and a faint energy shield formed with a flash of electricity over the bone wings!
From the outside, it looked as though the “Chains of Heaven” had stabilized a bizarre black object, though a small section of the chain remained exposed. With the widespread attack methods of the “Gate of Babylon,” it was highly likely to hit the chain accidentally!
Nevertheless, the attack arrived. When “Nightmare” completed its defense, a sharp spear from the golden flow struck the energy shield!
Azure ripples spread out, the spearhead encountered immense resistance, and its speed drastically reduced!
The spearhead struck the bone wings, failing to leave a mark before falling to the ground.
Other Noble Phantasms hit the spear two or three more times before finally landing, broken and discarded among the ruins, blending in seamlessly.
Gilgamesh’s expression grew increasingly grim. The “Gate of Babylon” could not deal with a divine spirit, but could it not handle this metal contraption?
He glanced at Kurumi, feeling a twinge of frustration. In just a few seconds, all the Noble Phantasms within the divine radiance field were on the verge of shattering!
Forcing a calm facade, Gilgamesh calculated Tokiomi Tohsaka’s mana supply as the “Gate of Babylon” continued its fierce assault!
Sharp Noble Phantasms flew like there was no tomorrow, smashing against “Nightmare” in a relentless barrage, all while Gilgamesh carefully controlled them to avoid hitting the “Chains of Heaven.”
After dozens of strikes on the energy shield, it finally began to shrink.
The energy reactor within “Nightmare” showed signs of entering a low-energy state, typically a signal for the pilot to replace the reactor.
But where was the Red Queen supposed to find such a thing in this desolate place? Her master’s spatial backpack might have one but in the current situation…
The Red Queen, controlling “Nightmare” within the data set, woke up in the villa. She had the materials to make an energy reactor, but it was only a prototype, and how to send it over was another issue.
As “Nightmare’s” energy supply dwindled, the “Chains of Heaven” began to retract!
Seeing this, the Red Queen hesitated before deactivating the energy shield on the bone wings. Though helpful, it consumed too much energy!
The energy reactor stabilized, providing energy to the limb armor, and the “Chains of Heaven” were again tightly gripped!
But the anonymous Noble Phantasms began to leave marks on “Nightmare’s” bone wings during the subsequent attacks!
The constant clanging of swords hitting the armor, even denting the thin armor plates!
In Kurumi’s divine radiance field, most of the Noble Phantasms had disintegrated into powder, some even crushed to dust!
The divine power effortlessly absorbed the dust, turning it pale gold, moving slowly within the field.
The scene resembled the Nine Realms star map Kurumi once saw through the World Tree!
Each tiny particle within the field represented a star.
In the center, an inverted giant tree was gradually forming!
The starlight was brilliant, and the massive Noble Phantasms around the “stars” all shattered into dust, merging into this “universe” after being absorbed by divine power!
And at the inverted tree, “stars” continually flowed into it as if merging with it was the highest honor.
Kurumi’s pale golden eyes, filled with indifference, reflected the giant tree. The “stars” formed a rough outline before falling still.
However, a dim circular part of the inverted tree felt eerily familiar to her!
The golden streams of Noble Phantasms continued their fierce assault on “Nightmare,” while the Red Queen, having assembled the prototype reactor, was flying towards them!
Gilgamesh, meanwhile, was dumbfounded by the scene!
He was genuinely scared, but the giant phantom formed from the dust of his Noble Phantasms seemed to suppress him!
Even the “goddess” couldn’t suppress him with her divine aura, but he felt a chilling sense of death from this tree-like phantom!
Though he had already died, the aura was undeniably natural!
Swallowing hard, Gilgamesh’s haughty demeanor faltered, and even the “Gate of Babylon” attack rate slowed subconsciously.
As his gaze shifted from the circular shadow to the “trunk,” the sense of death vanished!
Feeling insulted, Gilgamesh’s anger flared. The fear of “death” enraged him!
Ignoring Tokiomi’s mana supply concerns, golden ripples spread from the “Gate of Babylon,” and he pulled out a large golden key!
“Nightmare’s” sensors detected this, sending the information to the Red Queen, who flew even faster!
Gilgamesh seemed ready to unleash a major attack! This would end badly if not dealt with!
If “Nightmare” were caught in the simulated spatial turbulence and the “Chains of Heaven” freed, Gilgamesh would undoubtedly use them to bind her master!
In her naive divine state, Kurumi, bound and unable to resist, would be a helpless captive!
The more the Red Queen imagined this, the more panicked she became. She activated every speed-enhancing rune on her body, turning into a black streak in the night sky.
The “Gate of Babylon” ceased its barrage, and large quantities of red crystalline material with spatial fluctuations climbed upwards.
Gilgamesh solemnly drew the Sword of Rupture.
The sword, with its cylindrical shape and intertwining red and black colors, stood before his chest. His eyes locked on the inverted tree’s position, aiming not at Kurumi but at the threatening phantom!
“Enuma Elish!”
The phantom of the inverted tree, composed of countless “stars,” remained motionless.
