Kurumi Tokisaki's Planar Journey - Chapter 498
“Tohsaka… Tokiomi!!!”
The low growl of a demon from hell startled the Red Queen as Gilgamesh suddenly vanished!
The “Gate of Babylon” and “Chains of Heaven” also faded into shadows.
“Is he… dead?!”
Hiding in the cockpit, the Red Queen shook her head. The corrosive magic couldn’t have reached his heart so quickly.
Had Gilgamesh been forcibly summoned by a Command Spell?
Swallowing hard, she knew Tokiomi Tohsaka could have used a Command Spell to heal all of Gilgamesh’s injuries…
No time to dwell on it, the Red Queen piloted “Nightmare” to Kurumi’s side.
Bound briefly by the “Chains of Heaven,” the divine power seed within her was suppressed to the limit! Her divine spirit armor reverted to its original color.
But then, Kurumi, clad in her black dress, appeared before the Red Queen.
Her black boots lightly touched the water, creating ripples.
“Master? Master!”
Kurumi blinked, coming back to her senses and rubbing her temple. Her mind was still filled with images of the inverted tree.
Gazing at the devastated riverbank, Kurumi frowned. The divine power seed was affecting her more and more. Initially, she could control herself, but now, her consciousness couldn’t command her body.
The divine power seed granted her immense power, but its state of apathy made her vulnerable to exploitation!
The FZ realm was relatively safe, with no immediate threats. But in other realms…
She needed to accelerate her plan to capture “All the World’s Evil.”
The lingering magic in the air made Kurumi uncomfortable, especially the residual aura of the “Chains of Heaven,” which naturally suppressed her.
“Was Gilgamesh summoned by a Command Spell?”
The Red Queen flew out of “Nightmare,” shrugging. “Seems like it. Who knows what Tokiomi Tohsaka was thinking.”
“Mutual distrust. Tokiomi Tohsaka might be in danger.”
“He has Kariya Matou with him!”
Kurumi turned to the Red Queen. “With Gilgamesh summoned back, do you think Tokiomi Tohsaka would keep Kariya Matou there?”
The Red Queen blinked. “True. But Tokiomi Tohsaka has already used two Command Spells. He won’t use the last one lightly.”
Kurumi calculated silently, then suddenly raised her head.
“Find Tokiomi Tohsaka’s location quickly. We must kill Gilgamesh tonight!”
The Red Queen looked worried. “Master, are you in any condition to do this?”
Kurumi didn’t answer directly. Instead, she asked, “What about ‘Nightmare’? What’s its condition?”
“The first-generation reactor can’t keep up with energy demands. Otherwise…”
Before the Red Queen could finish, Kurumi pulled a new reactor from her Umbrella Corporation-produced spatial backpack.
The Red Queen eagerly installed the new reactor and placed the spear in the bone wings.
“Master, Tokiomi Tohsaka is at the Tohsaka mansion! Kariya Matou isn’t with him!”
Kurumi’s dress transformed into a black combat suit, and the cockpit of “Nightmare” opened, allowing her to board.
“Any sign of Kirei Kotomine?”
“No other heat signatures detected! Finding Kirei’s location will take some time.”
Kurumi nodded. Even with the Red Queen’s capabilities, the outdated technology of 1990s Japan limited detection efficiency.
She had to find and kill Gilgamesh tonight!
If Kirei Kotomine killed Tokiomi Tohsaka, Gilgamesh would gain substantial Command Spell support.
“Command Spells” were troublesome. None of this would be an issue if she could maintain her self-awareness in her divine state!
“Click—”
The cockpit closed, “Nightmare’s” thrusters glowing blue. The previously black bone wings now had a silver-black pattern, indicating battle damage.
Meanwhile, across Fuyuki City, during Kurumi and the Red Queen’s conversation, the armless Gilgamesh had been summoned to the Tohsaka mansion.
The corrosive magic constantly tormented the ancient king’s nerves. He had realized his dire situation on the river.
What infuriated him was that Tokiomi Tohsaka hadn’t used a Command Spell to heal him!
Weighing his options, Gilgamesh chose to return to the Tohsaka mansion.
His left arm was bound by an unknown Noble Phantasm, stopping the bleeding, but black veins spread through his body!
His once beautiful crimson eyes were now tainted black, his heart pounding like a ticking bomb!
Tokiomi Tohsaka was startled to see the high and noble king in such a wretched state!
Having not monitored the battle with his familiars, Tokiomi only knew something was wrong when his mana was nearly depleted, indicating that Gilgamesh was in serious trouble.
Especially when Gilgamesh demanded that he use a command spell to heal him, Tokiomi was shocked!
He knew well that a proud king like Gilgamesh detested Command Spells!
What kind of battle had forced the king to abandon his pride and ask for a Command Spell?
Tokiomi had received news of the collapsed bridge in Fuyuki City and was already worried. Now, with Gilgamesh’s condition…
Instinctively standing, Tokiomi was at a loss for words.
The once noble king had turned into a demon!
The contrast was too great, making the mana-depleted Tokiomi dizzy!
“Thump thump thump!~”
The sound of Gilgamesh’s pounding heart was accompanied by the rush of black, putrid blood into his heart.
Defiled divinity, his body seemed cursed.
Gilgamesh glared at Tokiomi with his strange, blood-red eyes. “Fool!”
Staggering forward, drops of putrid blood fell from his left arm’s odd Noble Phantasm.
“Fool! Fool! What are you doing?! Use the Command Spell to heal me!”
Tokiomi suppressed his horror. Seeing that Gilgamesh wasn’t in mortal danger, he decided against using the last Command Spell!
“Splurt!~”
A giant mouthful of foul blood spewed out, his heart suddenly bursting! Luckily, he was prepared. The “Gate of Babylon” held many strange Noble Phantasms, including those that could replace a heart.
As the Noble Phantasm merged and replaced his ruined heart, the “demon” Gilgamesh finally stabilized.
