Kurumi Tokisaki's Planar Journey - Chapter 510
Surrounded by darkness, Kurumi moved cautiously. The “Root” was something any other mage would be ecstatic to encounter, but Kurumi felt as if she was treading on thin ice. She had a constant sensation that an unseen presence was watching her.
‘Is it the Main God?’ she wondered, unsure. Steeling herself, she continued forward, her hand brushing the silver cube in her skirt pocket, which relieved her tense nerves.
Passing through the “hole” fixed by the Greater Grail, Kurumi didn’t see anything resembling the Hall of Heroes. The entire space was eerily silent, so quiet it could drive one mad. There was no light, no stars, only a dim, oppressive darkness. There was no water, light, or oxygen—this was a life-forbidden zone.
Fortunately, the divine power seed within her continued to output energy, and Kurumi was still in her divine state. With her current strength, she could endure long periods without food or drink. Oxygen wasn’t a concern either; as long as she had energy, she wouldn’t die from lack of oxygen.
Despite the emptiness around her, Kurumi felt a chill down her spine. She brought up her attribute panel and a flash of blue light appeared. Biting her lip, she closed her eyes, extending her mental energy deep into the void, just as she had done when summoning the black cat. Her conscious mental energy began sending friendly signals to those dimensions.
Like stars, there were countless dimensions of various kinds, and Kurumi could only search continuously. Those dimensions were exposed in the void, and with the Main God’s capabilities, it would find her instantly!
As time passed and the return to the Main God Space drew nearer, Kurumi grew increasingly anxious, even considering randomly selecting a slight dimension to escape into.
Suddenly, Kurumi “saw” a dark, dim “star.”
Her consciousness hesitated for a moment. This star was enormous, and the Type-Moon dimension of Fate/Zero was like a glowworm compared to the bright moon.
Such dimensions typically had countless intertwined timelines and possibly numerous subsidiary dimensions. Kurumi glanced at the countdown left by the Main God, gritted her teeth, and dove in!
Her spirit body, composed of mental energy, exuded goodwill as Kurumi didn’t know how to hide herself. She also didn’t sense the presence of a dimensional consciousness.
Her spirit body swiftly traversed the dark expanse, arriving at a scene of numerous broken and ruined continents. These landmasses did not form stars but floated directly in the cosmos. Kurumi calculated that each fragment was several times larger than Earth!
Her spirit body became even more cautious. Although these were just projections of the dimension in the void, unexpected dangers could still lurk.
Moreover… were these landmasses for real? Had she entered a fantasy world?!
Kurumi pressed on, carefully avoiding the broken, dark continents. The various continental fragments she encountered gradually made her heart grow heavy.
These fragments were filled with chaotic energy residues. Even if she arrived here in her divine state, fully activated, survival in such a problematic place would be challenging.
‘What happened here?’ Kurumi wondered, puzzled. She had never seen a dimension with such a sad consciousness.
There was no reaction to her intrusion—perhaps it simply didn’t care?
Kurumi pondered this, finding it reasonable. Such a powerful dimension likely wouldn’t be easily invaded, not even by the Main God Space.
Flying further, Kurumi finally saw a relatively intact continent, though an immensely evil aura surrounded it!
Kurumi reassured herself that this was just a projection in the void and they wouldn’t notice her!
Taking another glance, she silently bypassed it. After wandering for a long time, she found very few intact continents. Exceptionally powerful auras guarded those that were intact!
Kurumi couldn’t estimate their strength—perhaps Gamma peak? Maybe even higher.
Growing impatient, Kurumi knew she couldn’t waste this rare opportunity!
A dimension like this was one in a million. She didn’t mind coming here, but the Main God might not. The dimension’s consciousness would immediately detect such powerful entities!
Her spirit body halted, looking up as if a thin membrane prevented her from reaching the upper layers of the world.
Kurumi’s eye twitched; even a spirit body in the void couldn’t reach the upper world. How stringent was this dimension’s hierarchy?
‘Ding~ 59 minutes and 59 seconds remaining until return. Please prepare for return.’
‘Buzz!~’
Kurumi’s spirit body froze, curling into a ball. A powerful being had just scanned with its mental energy; though perhaps it hadn’t scanned the void directly, it still projected perfectly.
After a while, Kurumi dared to move slightly. Her spirit body’s eyes flickered. Only such a powerful dimension could block the Main God.
Even if it was at war, Kurumi had to take the risk!
‘Hmm?!’
Kurumi let out a soft exclamation. Far in the void, a beam of light suddenly appeared but vanished just as quickly!
She thought she was seeing things, but how could a spirit body “see things”?!
The void where the light had appeared was empty! Kurumi was puzzled.
‘Could it be a hidden small world?’
She quickly flew in that direction. Her spirit body trembled in the endless black void; it was indeed a tiny world hidden by a powerful being!
Whether to avoid war or for other reasons, Kurumi didn’t know. But there was no evil aura in this small world!
Nothing in the void could be a native being, so those powerful evil beings hadn’t discovered this small world!
‘This is it!’
Kurumi imprinted her mental mark on it, circled to ensure safety, and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Then, her spirit body dispersed into the void. On the edge of the Type-Moon dimension, Kurumi’s divine form suddenly opened her eyes!
Feeling a faint spiritual connection deep inside, Kurumi’s face turned serious. She had made thousands of marks to mislead the Main God along the way.
Kurumi believed it could block the Main God in such a powerful dimension. After all, no one wanted a notorious “thief” in their home!
Newly recovered secondary divine power erupted within her. Kurumi channelled the spatial power from her Gamma rune, striking the darkness with force!
‘Crack~ crack~ crack~’
Space fissures appeared one after another, and the rune on her right arm shone brightly!
‘Boom!~’
Space turbulence surged, fragments rushing toward Kurumi!
