Kurumi Tokisaki's Planar Journey - Chapter 527
Kurumi nodded, sitting there silently.
Gu Yuan opened his mouth, sighed, and then turned to look at the little girl who was sitting tensely.
“Xun’er.”
“Yes, Father!”
“Remember to listen to your sister and don’t throw childish tantrums, okay?”
“Uh-huh! Please rest assured, Father, Xun’er will listen to Sister.”
“Good.” Gu Yuan stood up, exuding an aura of natural authority.
“In a few days, a clan saint will escort you both to the Xiao Clan. Sanger, focus on recovering for now. The servants will handle everything else.”
“Mm.” Kurumi nodded lightly. Seeing this, Gu Yuan assumed her injuries were severe and that she was too weak to speak much. After a moment of contemplation, he said, “I’ll be leaving then.”
“Goodbye, Father!”
Xun’er called out, and Gu Yuan took a few steps towards the wooden door, his figure disappearing without a trace.
The little girl let out a long breath, and Kurumi found it amusing. “Is Father really that scary to you?”
“Huh?” Xun’er quickly waved her hands. “No, no! How could Father be scary?”
Kurumi rested her chin on her hand and leaned forward, her wine-red eyes narrowing teasingly. “Really? Then why is little Xun’er still so tense?”
“Yikes!” Xun’er jumped like a startled kitten. One of Kurumi’s hands pinched her waist, tickling her until she couldn’t stop laughing!
“Stop… stop tickling! Hahaha! Sister… Sister, I was wrong!”
Xun’er wriggled around, flailing her small hands, trying to escape Kurumi’s tickling.
“Ah!”
Xun’er fell backward from her sitting position, finally escaping Kurumi’s grasp. She lay on the ground, panting, her face full of frustration. After a brief rest, she sprang up like a little spring.
She placed her hands in a “claw” position beside her face, striking a “fierce” pose, looking quite formidable with her little fangs bared.
“Heehee~”
Kurumi extended her hands, playfully wiggling her fingers. Xuner’s face turned pale at the memory of being tickled. She immediately switched tactics!
“Sister, if we don’t eat soon, the food will get cold!”
“Nice try!”
“It’s not that…” Xun’er denied vigorously, but the blush on her cheeks gave away her true thoughts.
“Sister needs to recover well. You must eat breakfast!” Xun’er dodged Kurumi’s grasp, scooping up some congee with a spoon and offering it to Kurumi.
Seeing Xun’er’s eager expression, Kurumi couldn’t help but open her mouth and let Xun’er feed her the congee.
“Is it good?”
Kurumi’s wine-red eyes twinkled. “It was just okay, but with Xun’er feeding me, it suddenly tastes sweet.”
“Really?”
“Mm-hmm! Try it for yourself!”
Xun’er, half-believing, scooped up some congee and watched Kurumi’s expression as she tasted it.
The congee went down, and Xun’er pouted. “Sister tricked me! Xun’er didn’t taste any sweetness!”
Kurumi blinked. “Impossible.”
She stirred her congee, scooped up a spoonful, and offered it to Xun’er.
Xun’er opened her mouth and took the spoon, savoring every bit.
Her face lit up with surprise. “It is sweet!”
Her big eyes scanned both bowls of congee, trying to figure out the secret.
“Want to try again?”
“Mm-hmm!”
Xun’er tasted the congee again, still finding it sweet! She looked at her bowl, took a sip… nothing!
Xun’er started doubting reality. ‘Could it be that Sister’s congee is sweet?’
Her little brain couldn’t process it. She wanted Sister to feed her again, but then remembered she wasn’t a child anymore! She couldn’t let Sister feed her!
“Ah~ careful, it’s hot~”
“No! I, Gu Xun’er, will never let Sister San’er feed me again!”
“Really?” Kurumi’s expression exaggerated surprise.
Xun’er crossed her arms and huffed, feeling very proud.
“Of course! I, Gu Xun’er, would rather never eat malt candy again than let Sister San’er feed me!”
Kurumi paused, feeling she had heard this before. Scratching her head, she brought the spoon back to herself.
“Not eating?”
Xun’er shook her head firmly. “Not eating!”
“Then Sister will eat it all~”
“Hmph!” Xun’er was proud. “You can eat it! Don’t think you can tempt me!”
Kurumi’s face turned mischievous, gently stirring the congee on the table. “Xun’er, do you know why my congee is sweet?”
“Mm?” Xun’er, trying to maintain her pride, leaned closer, her little ears perking up to catch every word.
“Because Sister asked the chef to put five pieces of malt candy in my bowl~”
“What!”
Xun’er couldn’t maintain her “proud” demeanor any longer. She frantically stirred her bowl of congee.
“Why doesn’t Xun’er have any?”
Drinking a mouthful of the plain congee, Xun’er felt desperate, her face showing a look of despair.
“Why… doesn’t Xun’er’s bowl have any…”
“Because the malt candy is mine!”
Kurumi said matter-of-factly, while Xun’er lay slumped on the table, looking like she might die without the candy.
“Sister is going to drink it all~ There are five pieces of malt candy in here~”
“Ah~”
Xun’er’s eyes widened as she remembered the taste of the candy. Her mouth began to water as she watched her sister eat the “spoonful of malt candy.”
“Ahhh!”
She quickly rubbed her black hair in frustration, then spoke to Kurumi in an unusually serious tone. “Sister, Xun’er wants some too.”
“Oh? Drink your own.”
Xun’er pouted, looking unhappy. “I want Sister to feed me~”
“Aren’t you a big girl now? Didn’t you say you didn’t need Sister to feed you anymore?”
“But… but I’m the younger sister! I’m… I’m still little!”
After saying this, Xun’er’s cheeks turned bright red. Remembering her previous determination, she wanted to find a hole to crawl into!
“Will you listen to Sister from now on?”
“Mm-hmm!”
“Open your mouth!”
“Ah~”
Xun’er savored the familiar sweetness, cupping her cheeks with her hands, looking utterly content.
