Kurumi Tokisaki's Planar Journey - Chapter 533
Kurumi clapped her small hands, and shiny powder fell from her palms.
The little girl wrinkled her nose and immediately sneezed!
Then she started to feel drowsy, and her head tilted as she fell towards the grass.
Kurumi quickly grabbed Xun’er’s hand, gently placing her against a large tree. She scratched her head, looking a bit embarrassed.
She had forgotten to give Xun’er the antidote beforehand!
Turning her hand, she pulled out a small jade bottle from her storage ring, gently pried open Xun’er’s mouth, and let a small, fragrant pill slip in.
The pill dissolved instantly, its medicinal power quickly clearing the dizzying powder from Xun’er’s system. The little girl slowly opened her eyes, rubbing them as sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting dappled shadows. Kurumi’s cute face came into Xun’er’s view, and she yawned while rubbing her eyes.
“Sister, is it morning already?”
“Uh… it’s almost lunchtime.”
“Ah!” Xun’er instantly widened her eyes, exclaiming, “Who ate my rice porridge?”
Kurumi rolled her eyes and shifted her body slightly, letting the sunlight hit Xuner’s face. As today’s memories surfaced, Xun’er realized she had sneezed and then fainted.
Confused, Xun’er blinked at Xiao Yan lying on the grass.
“Sister, he’s lazier than the Ice Needle Mouse!”
Kurumi replied with a noncommittal “Mm-hmm,” and knelt beside Xiao Yan.
Xun’er followed closely, her big eyes curious about what her sister was doing.
‘What is Sister up to?’
Kurumi extended her small hand, easily removing the ring from Xiao Yan’s neck.
The black, ancient-looking ring was held between her slender fingers, and under the sunlight, it seemed to absorb light.
“Sister, this ring is so ugly.”
Kurumi was about to concentrate her mental energy on examining it but was interrupted by Xun’er’s comment. She turned back to look at her helplessly.
Xun’er shrank back, “I’m just telling the truth.”
“I know you’re telling the truth. Stand here quietly and don’t talk, alright?”
Kurumi pulled out a silver bracelet from her storage ring, decorated with gold threads and engraved with intricate patterns.
She raised her hand and asked, “Do you want this?”
“Yes, yes!” Xun’er nodded eagerly, her eyes sparkling. “I want it!”
“Then stay quiet and don’t say anything!”
Xun’er immediately shut her mouth, looking at Kurumi with anticipation.
Kurumi moved the bracelet left and right and then spun it around. Xun’er’s eyes followed it intently, her eager gaze making Kurumi feel uneasy.
Hurriedly, Kurumi tossed the bracelet to Xun’er, ignoring her delighted giggles as she admired it in the sunlight. She focused on scanning the black ring with her minimal mental energy.
She couldn’t sense anything!
Kurumi sighed. In this world of Battle Through the Heavens, mental energy was referred to as soul power, but her current soul power… was nothing to speak of.
She took out a large jade bottle made of sheep-fat jade from her storage ring, opening the stopper. The cool air inside refreshed her.
This was the Seven Illusion Green Spirit Dew that Xiao Yan had struggled to obtain from the Nalan family in the original work. Though not particularly precious, Kurumi had found five large bottles of it in the storage ring sent by the silver-robed Dou Saint!
Pouring the liquid over the black ring in her palm, Kurumi watched as the green, viscous liquid was absorbed into the ring.
As more liquid poured out, forming a green whirlpool around the ring, it began to glow, faint traces of soul power emanating from it.
The green liquid gradually disappeared, fully absorbed by the ring, which then fell to the grass.
The little loli holding the large jade bottle was dumbfounded.
Kurumi: “???”
Her face darkened, and she gritted her teeth. “No one takes my things and gets away with it.”
Xun’er shivered, seeing a side of her sister she had never seen before.
Kurumi, with a cold expression, went back to the black ring. She tilted the jade bottle again, letting more Seven Illusion Green Spirit Dew spill over the ring. Just before it hit the ground, the ring emitted a soul power, catching the liquid and absorbing it rapidly.
When the last drop fell, Kurumi shook the bottle to ensure it was empty before casually tossing it backward.
Xun’er, hiding behind a tree, watched the jade bottle arc perfectly through the air, landing heavily on Xiao Yan’s handsome face.
“Thud!”
Xun’er winced, withdrawing a bit further, but after hearing only the dull thud, she peeked out again.
The jade bottle was intact, rolling off Xiao Yan’s face, which seemed swollen.
Xun’er hid further behind the tree, worried that her sister might accidentally throw something at her next.
As Xun’er worried, Kurumi walked to a cliff’s edge, holding the black ring.
She tossed the ring slightly, and each time it returned to her hand like a magnet.
“Venerable Yao, do you feel no shame for taking a little girl’s things?”
The ring remained silent. The wind rustled the leaves.
Kurumi’s expression didn’t change as she suddenly threw the ring off the cliff!
“Hmph!”
The young girl clapped her hands and started walking away.
“Whoosh!—”
The black ring, behaving typically in this world, flew back up, hovering three feet above Kurumi’s head.
“Cough, cough—little girl, you have quite a temper.”
Kurumi turned, locking eyes on the hovering ring. She retorted, “Old man, taking a little girl’s things is shameful, shame on you.”
“Bleh—”
Hearing Kurumi’s words, the soul inside the ring couldn’t remain silent. How could he, the Medicine Venerable known throughout Central Plains, stoop to stealing from a little girl?
