Leading Naruto to Destroy the World - Chapter 19
Dim light, casting an eerie shadow even during the day.
In the solemn air, masked ninjas could be seen moving around like emotionless machines.
The medical ninja trembled as he removed the bandages from Danzo’s face, unwinding the white strips and letting them fall to the ground.
Danzo’s sinister face remained expressionless throughout the process but was terrifying.
Finally.
The bandages were removed entirely.
“My Lord…”
The medical ninja took out a mirror, his throat dry and his hand unsteady as he handed it to Danzo.
He didn’t know Danzo’s reaction when he saw his current appearance.
Danzo’s gaze fell on the mirror, and a familiar yet strange face was reflected at him.
On his sinister face, three ferocious scars resembling centipedes stretched from the lower side of his left nostril to his temple, covering most of his face.
His left eye socket was also covered by the scars, even cutting through his eyebrow, leaving a large gap.
The black and brown eyeball looked somewhat odd in this visage.
Danzo’s hand holding the mirror frame trembled slightly.
His teeth clenched uncontrollably.
Bloodshot veins appeared in his eye.
If not for the transplant of a civilian’s eye, his left eye would have completely lost its vision.
His expression grew more twisted.
Crash!
The mirror in his hand was violently thrown!
The shattered pieces of the mirror exploded against the wall, each fragment reflecting his ugly, distorted face.
“Mirai! I will never forgive you for this!”
…
Clack, clack, clack!
A kitchen knife skillfully chopped cucumbers on the cutting board, each slice uniformly thick, with almost no deviation.
This precise knife work would make any chef feel ashamed.
But no one was holding the handle of the knife.
It floated, seemingly suspended, dancing freely on the cutting board.
The same scene played out elsewhere.
A small knife precisely peeled the onion skin, a meat cleaver sliced through the meat, and the metal faucet turned on by itself, washing the vegetables in the basket.
“Indeed, cooking with electromagnetic power is convenient!”
Standing in the middle of the kitchen, Mirai smiled contentedly at the scene.
Electromagnetic power wasn’t just helpful in cosplaying Magneto; it could also turn one into a culinary god.
Of course, he wasn’t idle himself.
Behind his back, magnetic fluid formed four metallic arms, one stirring a wooden spoon while the others lit the fire and cooked, working together seamlessly.
This astonishing sight was reminiscent of Doctor Octopus from the Spider-Man movies.
With his electromagnetic power at LV4, Mirai could multitask effortlessly. Using electromagnetic energy to complete such tasks wasn’t tricky.
In his mind, a massive electromagnetic tree resided.
This tree wasn’t a tree in the conventional sense; it was more like…
A quantum realm where streams of data converge into a tree.
Whenever Mirai developed a new ability with his electromagnetic power, this tree would grow new leaves, becoming more lush.
But this growth had limits.
The number of abilities Mirai could develop within one level with his electromagnetic power was capped.
For example, at LV1, he could only master basic abilities like discharge and magnetization.
Playing around with essential Lightning Release or a weakened version of Magnet Release was quite challenging.
At LV2, his discharge and magnetization abilities were greatly enhanced, allowing him to flick out an electromagnetic cannon casually.
High-voltage currents became easy to manipulate, and during the Third Great Ninja War, many ninjas received his “electrotherapy.”
At LV3, the abilities developed were countless: vortex, electromagnetic cannon, simplified Gundam, electric propulsion…
He earned the name Blue Flash in the Third Great Ninja War, standing alongside Minato’s Yellow Flash.
They were known as Konoha’s Two-Color Flashes!
In the battle with Magnet Release Rasa, Mirai reverse-controlled Rasa’s gold dust, making Rasa question his own Magnet Release and wonder if he had been practicing a fake technique.
Three years ago, when Minato had just become Hokage, and the village stabilized, Mirai left to absorb the Ryumyaku in the Land of Wind, unaware of future events.
He had estimated it would take three months to finish, just in time for Naruto’s birth.
Unexpectedly, the Ryumyaku contained time-disturbing abilities.
Nevertheless, during his three-year disappearance, his electromagnetic power successfully reached LV4, enhancing his abilities further.
He could now break down metals into nanometer-sized magnetic fluid, achieving some incredible feats.
Mirai had two ideas regarding leveling up to LV5.
One was the natural energy of the Shinobi World.
It was a vast and terrifying energy source.
Minato’s teacher, Jiraiya, had mastered Sage Mode, so Mirai was not unfamiliar with natural energy.
He just never had the chance to learn it.
If he could absorb the natural energy of the Shinobi World to feed his electromagnetic tree, it might upgrade to LV5.
The second was the Tailed Beasts.
Each Tailed Beast contained a terrifying amount of chakra.
If he could absorb the energy of a Tailed Beast, it might also upgrade the electromagnetic tree.
However, he hadn’t attempted this method yet.
With the help of his electromagnetic power, the meal was soon ready.
Looking at the table full of delicious food, Mirai wiped his hands with an apron, satisfied.
“Just waiting for Naruto to come back. That kid went to find Sasuke. He should be back soon.”
Sure enough, a few minutes later, the door opened, and Naruto entered.
Just as Mirai was about to call Naruto for dinner, he noticed Naruto seemed downcast, his head lowered, looking dejected.
“Uncle, I’m not hungry. I’m going upstairs to rest.”
The smile on Mirai’s face froze.
Since returning to the village, he hadn’t seen Naruto so discouraged in a long time.
It was as if all the energy had been drained from him.
He looked like a walking corpse.
Mirai had seen Naruto like this before, right when he had just returned to the village, and Naruto was suffering from bullying from the entire town.
However, since his return, Naruto’s condition has improved significantly.
That gloomy, dejected look hadn’t appeared in a long time.
What could have happened to cause such a drastic change in Naruto’s condition?
Mirai’s eyes narrowed slightly.
He felt something was off.
He pushed open the door and walked out into the yard.
He called out to the crooked tree in the courtyard, “Kakashi.”
The tree’s branches rustled, and a figure with a cat-faced mask and white hair emerged.
“It’s me, Mirai. What do you need?”
It was Kakashi.
Hiruzen had ordered him to watch over Naruto.
Mirai was well aware of this, but out of respect for Minato, he turned a blind eye to it.
“Naruto’s condition doesn’t seem right. You’ve been watching him in secret; did you notice anything?”
Mirai voiced his concern.
Hearing his words, Kakashi’s expression suddenly grew heavy.
His gray eyes also dimmed.
As expected…
Mirai’s heart tightened.
He knew something had happened.
Kakashi hesitated before sighing.
“Mirai, you might want to take a look around the village.”
