Leading Naruto to Destroy the World - Chapter 3
The next day.
In the Hokage’s office.
Hiruzen Sarutobi continuously rubbed his temples. His sleepless night had left him looking extremely lean, with swollen bags under his eyes like silkworms hanging beneath his eyelids.
Bang!
The door to the Hokage’s office was suddenly flung open, and a rough hand slammed down on the Hokage’s desk.
“Hiruzen, do you know? Mirai has returned!!”
Danzo’s single eye, exposed beyond his bandages, was full of malice, the accumulated gloom making his old face look sinister.
“Calm down.”
Sarutobi glanced at Danzo.
His old friend was good in many ways but had a poor mindset.
Look at him. Apart from not sleeping all night, he wasn’t panicking at all.
“Hmph! The entire village is abuzz with rumors about the strong-willed uncle of the Demon Fox. Returning after three years, that guy must have some unspeakable secrets…”
Danzo squinted his eyes, his impression of Mirai always being bad.
During Minato’s reign, Mirai had often used his power to suppress him, making him feel humiliated.
The news of Mirai’s disappearance had thrilled him for a long time.
Without this troublesome younger brother, what could Minato use to suppress him?
Unexpectedly, a few months later, the Nine-Tails Night happened, and Minato was gone too.
“But now he is officially Naruto’s guardian, which is very troublesome.”
Sarutobi felt his headache worsening. No matter how much he massaged his temples, there was no relief.
This was the most troubling part.
With both Minato and Kushina dead from that incident, if Mirai hadn’t returned as the Third Hokage, he would be Naruto’s ultimate guardian.
Given enough time, he could fully mold Naruto into his shape.
In fact, he had been doing just that, balancing heavy administrative duties while giving Naruto a substantial living allowance every month.
But now Mirai had intervened.
That guy was never one to be complacent. If he really caused an uproar…
“Hiruzen, we should act preemptively…”
Danzo squinted his eyes.
“That’s too rash.”
Sarutobi shook his head.
“His strength is no less than Minato’s, and he is Naruto’s uncle. If we act rashly and make Naruto hate the village, it will be a big problem.”
Naruto is the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, the village’s most important strategic weapon.
There can be no mistakes!
“It’s precisely because he’s Naruto’s uncle that we need to act quickly. If we delay further, who knows what will happen!”
Danzo gritted his teeth unwillingly.
“If you continue to hesitate, Hiruzen, you will regret it!”
“Danzo, I am the Hokage!”
…
While the F2 of Konoha was having a heated argument in the Hokage’s office at Ichiraku Ramen, Mirai was enjoying a large bowl of ramen with Naruto.
The springy noodles were quickly slurped into Naruto’s mouth, barely chewed before being swallowed down.
Several empty bowls were stacked on the table beside him, clean as if licked meticulously, the product of Naruto’s battle.
A few seconds later, another bowl was finished and stacked on the empty bowls.
Naruto, holding his bulging belly, let out a satisfied burp.
“Are you full?”
Mirai, sitting next to him, smiled at Naruto.
“Full, full, this is the fullest I’ve ever been. Uncle, will there be more chances to eat like this in the future?”
Naruto looked at Mirai with hopeful eyes.
“Of course, as long as Naruto wants, you can come here anytime.”
“Uncle is the best!”
Naruto was so excited he almost jumped up.
This newly acquainted uncle was the best person in the world to him.
“Get ready, we’ll do something fun later.”
Mirai smiled.
“Something fun?”
Naruto tilted his head.
“You’ll know when we get there!”
…
Ten minutes later.
“Uncle, is this the fun thing you mentioned?”
Naruto clutched Mirai’s big hand, blinking in confusion at the building in front of him.
The Hokage’s office should be where Grandpa Hokage works, right?
What fun could there be here?
Naruto’s eyes showed a hint of curiosity.
“Watch carefully, my dear nephew!”
Mirai took 50 ryo coins from his pocket, which he used to pay for ramen.
“Huh?”
Naruto tilted his head.
“This move will be really cool!”
With a flick of his thumb, the coin flipped in the air, and the world seemed to slow down. As it fell, blue lightning flickered around Mirai’s fingers, and with a light flick, he sent it flying.
Zing!
An explosive gust of wind transformed the coin into a blue beam, shooting toward the Hokage’s office.
“Danzo! I am the Hok…”
Inside the Hokage’s office, Hiruzen and Danzo’s argument continued.
A cold chill ran down Hiruzen’s spine, making his hair stand on end.
Years of life-and-death experience made Hiruzen acutely aware of the danger behind him.
But before he could react, the window shattered, and a blue lightning-arc beam shot through, hitting the wall opposite where portraits of the previous Hokage hung.
When everything calmed down.
Hiruzen’s pupils trembled, and Danzo’s eyes quivered. The portrait of the Third Hokage had been completely pierced.
The originally gentle face with a hat now had a burning hole, emitting smoke, and the buildings behind were clearly visible.
This strike had penetrated the entire Hokage building!!!
“Enemy attack! Protect the Hokage!”
Anbu, hidden in the corners, appeared beside Hiruzen, surrounding him tightly.
The attack was too fast! Too fast!
So fast they couldn’t react!
When they came to their senses, the Hokage building had already been pierced through.
The air became unbearably heavy, oppressive like solid ice. The Anbu stationed there swallowed nervously.
Even the always ruthless Danzo couldn’t help but sweat.
This supremely fast attack reminded him of the infamous secret technique from the Third Shinobi War.
Could it be…
In the dead silence, the door to the Hokage’s office creaked open.
Seeing the blonde figure appearing, Hiruzen gritted his teeth slightly.
“As expected, it’s you, Blue Flash! What do you want?”
