- Chapter 33 - Even If Naruto Wants the Moon, Uncle Will Fetch It for Him!
“Move!”
Sensing something off with Mirai, the two Jonin from the Cloud Village were no longer delayed. Almost simultaneously, they erupted with their strongest chakra!
Their opponent was Mirai.
The infamous Blue Flash who had made a name for himself during the Third Great Ninja War!
They dared not underestimate him and unleashed their full power in an instant.
And then…
“Ahhh!!!”
With a dull thud and two pained screams, the two Jonins collapsed to the ground, writhing in agony.
Their arms, thighs, even shin bones… Every major joint in their bodies had been broken, leaving them struggling on the ground in twisted agony!
“Did you really think I wouldn’t make any preparations after capturing you?”
Mirai looked down at the two writhing figures with a look of pity.
Silver fluid flowed out like two writhing silver serpents in the night, moving back into Mirai’s clothing from the seams of Jonin’s pant legs.
When he first placed his hands on their shoulders, he had secretly directed magnetic fluid from his sleeves into their clothes.
With their minds highly tense and their attention diverted to Naruto, they hadn’t noticed a thing.
Unbeknownst to them, Mirai had already seeded them with the touch of death!
“I can’t let you disrupt Naruto; he’s having so much fun!”
Standing over the two writhing Jonin, Mirai looked at Naruto, gliding and shouting in the night sky, his eyes filled with a loving smile.
The four Chunin below were fuming, panting heavily, and breathless.
Throwing shuriken and kunai did no good, and their jutsu couldn’t reach that height.
All they could do was watch as Naruto, with Hinata in tow, toyed with them!
They were so furious they wished wings would sprout from their backs so they could fly up and strangle Naruto!
What was supposed to be a top-secret mission…
It had turned into a game of hero and damsel in distress!
Not to mention whether the mission could be completed, even if they managed to bring Hinata back to the Cloud Village, they would be humiliated by the experience, and they’d want to vomit blood!
“Hahaha, that was amazing!”
Naruto, flying through the air under the control of the magnetic fluid on his body, glided back to Mirai.
The silver fluid slowly receded, revealing his original form.
“Naruto, how was it?”
Mirai ruffled Naruto’s blond hair with a smile.
“It was so much fun!”
Naruto was so excited he could barely contain himself.
Even though he was exhausted and out of breath, the excitement in his eyes was undeniable.
Not only had he saved Hinata, but he had also thoroughly humiliated those bad guys!
It was so cool!
“Thanks, Uncle.”
Despite his excitement, Naruto didn’t forget to thank Mirai.
He knew his ability to toy with the bad guys and rescue Hinata heroically was all thanks to his uncle’s support.
“As long as you had fun.”
Mirai’s eyes sparkled with a bright smile.
“Even if Naruto wants the moon, Uncle will fetch it for you.”
He had promised his late brother to take good care of Naruto and would spare no effort to fulfil that promise.
The few Cloud ninja who had followed Naruto and landed nearby stiffened, their pupils trembling.
This smiling man in front of them was the infamous Blue Flash of the Third Great Ninja War…
They had overheard the conversation just now.
This blond kid was the nephew of the Blue Flash!
Damn it!
How did they end up provoking such a terrifying enemy?
“Naruto, turn around. Uncle needs to stretch a bit.”
Mirai said with a smile, eyeing the remaining Cloud ninjas.
“Okay.”
Naruto obediently turned around, even covering Hinata’s eyes.
“We are subordinates of the Fourth Raikage. If you kill us, the Raikage won’t let you go!”
“Let us go now, and there’s still a chance to de-escalate this situation.”
Sensing the killing intent emanating from Mirai, the remaining Cloud ninjas backed away, swallowing nervously.
They no longer had their previous arrogance!
“As a reward for making Naruto happy, I’ll make this quick.”
Mirai continued to smile, but to the Cloud ninjas, that smile was as terrifying as a demon’s.
“No, please!”
“Spare me!”
Several muffled snapping sounds, like twigs breaking, were hardly noticeable at night. The noise soon died down, and silence returned.
The remaining Cloud ninjas had all been dealt with, and their necks snapped cleanly.
No blood was spilled.
“Alright, you can turn around now.”
Naruto immediately ran over to Mirai, grabbing his arm with a worried look.
“Uncle, are you hurt?”
“Silly boy, how could Uncle get hurt?”
Mirai flicked Naruto’s forehead gently, full of smiles.
There were people capable of hurting him.
But not many.
And certainly not these Cloud ninjas.
Just then, a rustling sound came from behind.
The noise grew louder until a voice cried out in surprise.
“Over here!”
Mirai stood calmly, watching as the approaching group of ninjas arrived.
Hinata’s father, Hiashi Hyuga, wearing a dark green robe, led a group of branch family guards who had arrived late.
Mirai’s expression didn’t change.
His bio-field sensory ability was on par with the Hyuga’s Byakugan.
It was just that their sensory focuses were different.
He had sensed Hiashi’s approach long before the group arrived.
Hiashi, tense and on high alert, was stunned by the scene in front of him.
With the Byakugan’s vision, the condition of the Cloud ninjas was clear.
Efficient and clean!
Except for the two still moaning weakly, all the other ninjas had been taken out with single, lethal strikes.
He had even been considerate of the children present, simply breaking their necks so that the corpses’ appearances hadn’t changed much from when they were alive.
“Daddy!”
Hinata, with teary eyes, ran to Hiashi Hyuga.
He knelt, full of concern, and embraced her tightly.
After a thorough check, he finally relaxed.
“You’re not hurt?”
Hinata shook her head and pointed at Naruto.
“He saved me.”
The son of the Fourth Hokage?
Hiashi’s expression froze.
He’s only three or four years old, right? Does he have the ability to save Hinata?
It must have been too dark, and Hinata got confused. How could Naruto have the ability to handle these enemies?
Taking Hinata by the hand, he walked over to Mirai, his expression sincere and grateful.
“Mirai, thank you for saving my daughter. I owe you one.”
Of course, he knew Mirai.
He, Minato, Mirai, and Mikoto… were of the same generation of ninjas.
Among them, Mirai was the youngest.
But his fame was the greatest.
Recently, the incident involving Naruto’s identity caused a considerable uproar, making Mirai a celebrity in the village.
Mirai didn’t react to Hiashi’s gratitude. Instead, he shook his head slightly.
“You should take a look at the bodies first.”
Bodies?
Hiashi’s eyes widened.
He suddenly remembered that they hadn’t identified the ninjas who had kidnapped Hinata.
Who were they, with such audacity, to kidnap someone from Konoha?
With that thought, he walked over to the lead ninja’s body and pulled off the black cloth covering his face.
Instantly, he was shocked!
“He’s…”
