Lee Sin's Bizzare Adventure - Chapter 10
Diavolo didn’t move.
He was waiting for Lee Sin to reveal his final trump card as he had foreseen.
Then, at the most critical and tense moment, just when Lee Sin was closest to success, he would strike, extinguishing Lee Sin’s last hope.
The life of an invincible person is just this monotonous.
Lee Sin, unaware of Diavolo’s thoughts, continued to babble nonsense in front of him:
“Sir, my dear Diavolo, please show some mercy.”
“I swear on the Virgin Mary, I just stumbled in here by accident today. I have no ill intentions towards you or your organization.”
“And believe me, I can keep secrets very well—”
“Like that girl across the building who didn’t like to wear clothes in the summer, I watched her through a telescope all summer and never said a word.”
“Or Aunt Liu next door who likes to kiss her dog, she’ll never know her dog eats poop in the neighborhood every afternoon.”
“Oh, and…”
“And Old Wang from 303 downstairs, I never reported him to the property management for the noise he makes with Mrs. Chen from 304.”
Heh.
Is he trying to make me let my guard down with this nonsense?
How boring.
Diavolo remained silent, merely counting the time in his mind:
1 second, 2 seconds, 3 seconds… 8 seconds, it’s time.
Just as Diavolo had foreseen with “Epitaph,” Lee Sin seemed to sense the timing was right—he suddenly stopped his annoying chatter and swiftly punched towards Diavolo’s direction:
“Twin Fang!”
At that moment, Lee Sin’s fist shone with a dazzling white light.
The light enveloped his fist, obscuring his hand, and then, at its brightest, it shot forward with a whistle.
Heh.
Diavolo smirked, tilting his head slightly to easily dodge the marking light orb.
The Twin Fang passed by Diavolo’s head, disappearing futilely into the air behind him.
Almost simultaneously, King Crimson struck back.
Tensing its sinister red-and-white streaked arm, it slashed out with a force that could split mountains.
In the next moment, King Crimson’s hand cut through Lee Sin’s shoulder and sliced across his chest as easily as a hot knife through butter.
Thanks to his reality-defying dataized ability, Lee Sin’s flesh healed instantly after being torn, as if never injured.
However, his health bar, much like a stock bought by a newbie investor just before a market crash, plummeted from more than half to 12%.
At 12%, even a sneeze from King Crimson could kill him.
But Lee Sin’s gaze grew sharper:
As the marking light orb left his hand, a gun magically appeared in his grasp.
Currently weak, he couldn’t win with physical combat; he needed the gun to fight back.
But King Crimson was incredibly fast, likely with excellent dynamic vision.
If Lee Sin directly aimed the gun, he wouldn’t even have time to raise his arm before the enemy noticed.
Not to mention shooting to kill, his arm holding the gun might be broken by King Crimson.
Shooting directly wouldn’t work.
So, Lee Sin chose to use the Twin Fang as a distraction.
Earlier, while pretending to babble, he had secretly grasped the gun in his hand.
Then, using the white light of the Twin Fang, he perfectly concealed the gun in his hand.
Diavolo couldn’t see the gun, only the incoming white light. When he dodged the marking light orb and refocused on Lee Sin…
Lee Sin had already used this opportunity to complete the crucial action of aiming the gun.
The next step was simply pulling the trigger to shoot a supersonic bullet through Diavolo’s head.
“You shouldn’t have underestimated me, Diavolo!”
Seizing this split second, Lee Sin fired a decisive shot at Diavolo.
Flames burst, thunder roared, and the bullet was fired.
King Crimson, though fast, wasn’t fast enough to catch the bullet with its hand.
Moreover, the powerful Stand had just slashed Lee Sin with a hand knife, unable to turn around to block the shot in time.
Diavolo seemed doomed.
But…
“Muda Muda!”
Diavolo laughed wildly: “All your tricks are useless!”
“Now…”
His pupils reflected the firelight from the muzzle, resembling an emperor with burning ambition:
“Time shall be erased again—”
“King Crimson!”
At this moment, Diavolo erased time.
This time, he erased another short 5 seconds.
But as he entered the “time erasure” state, he transcended the constraints of reality, becoming an invincible entity independent of the timeline.
First second:
The bullet passed harmlessly through his body, causing no harm.
Second second:
Lee Sin was in a state of unconscious “lag.”
Holding the gun, his eyes were fixed ahead, seemingly to confirm Diavolo’s death.
But with time erased, Lee Sin couldn’t see Diavolo not only unharmed but calmly stepping forward.
Third second:
Lee Sin fired the second and third shots.
These bullets also passed through Diavolo’s body in vain, but Lee Sin didn’t realize it.
Simultaneously, Diavolo extended his arm, unhurriedly taking the gun from Lee Sin’s hand.
Fourth second:
Diavolo removed the magazine from the gun.
Then, with a sense of dark humor, he placed the empty gun back into Lee Sin’s hand.
Meanwhile, he commanded King Crimson to adjust its position, preemptively grabbing Lee Sin’s head.
Fifth second:
Diavolo did nothing.
He simply watched Lee Sin, observing the ridiculous expression of someone who believed they had successfully fought back, awaiting his reaction in the next second.
Finally… the “time erasure” state ended, and the timeline returned to normal.
“Huh?!”
Lee Sin instinctively paused.
In the dataized mode, he was blind, unable to see or count seconds, theoretically incapable of noticing Diavolo’s time erasure.
But he possessed exceptional sensory abilities.
For Lee Sin, each second presented a unique “sound wave environment.”
So, at the moment the time erasure ended, he instantly sensed the change in auditory information:
In the “previous second,” he was firing at Diavolo’s head.
In the “next second”…
The gun was out of bullets, the trigger clicking uselessly.
Diavolo stood unharmed, full of mockery.
King Crimson, as if playing with a walnut, gently caressed his bald head.
“Time erasure…”
“He used time erasure again!”
Lee Sin quickly grasped the situation, then…
Then he entered Diavolo’s explanation time:
“Hahahaha…”
“How do you feel, surprised?”
Diavolo laughed arrogantly:
“While you were thrilled with your little cleverness, I, Diavolo, had already erased the time where you ‘succeeded in fighting back’!”
“The original time was erased, leaving only the altered result!”
“This world only retains the result!”
“And what you are witnessing and touching now is the ‘future’ you. It’s you a few seconds ago seeing the ‘future’ you.”
“This is my ‘King Crimson’s’ ability!”
Standing on one leg, fists clenched, chest arched back, Diavolo, in a typical JoJo pose, declared:
“Lee Sin!”
“Your ordinary Stand ability can never defeat me, Diavolo!”
“Oh…”
Lee Sin responded coolly.
His expression was like a hotel clerk watching a stingy customer slowly count out a few coins—not nervous or serious, but almost laughing with joy.
“You’re not afraid?!”
Diavolo sensed something was off.
“When have I ever been afraid?”
Lee Sin smiled confidently:
“I might be a bit nervous, after all, your strength is overwhelming.”
“But thanks to your arrogance…”
“I survived.”
