Lee Sin's Bizzare Adventure - Chapter 14
Squalo’s Stand was named “Clash,” resembling a shark clad in a hard, chitinous armor.
Unlike King Crimson, whose range was a mere two meters, Clash was a remote-controlled Stand capable of engaging enemies up to fifty meters away from Squalo’s physical body.
While Lee Sin cautiously guarded against Squalo, who was fifty meters away, the shark-like Clash silently emerged from a puddle on the yacht’s deck, utilizing its eerie Stand ability.
Finally, under Squalo’s command, Clash launched its attack.
“Hahaha.”
Squalo chuckled inwardly:
“If it were any other Stand user, they would have immediately sensed Clash’s presence and understood its ability.”
“But you…”
“Lee Sin, you’re a blind man!”
“Information is crucial in Stand battles. You can’t even see it; how can you understand its ability?”
To gain an indestructible body, Lee Sin sacrificed his vision.
His enhanced auditory perception compensated significantly for his blindness, yet sound could never convey as much information as sight.
Just like now:
Clash silently crept near Lee Sin, brazenly appearing in the water at his feet, and he didn’t even notice.
It wasn’t until Clash bared its razor-sharp teeth and lunged from the water at his feet that Lee Sin finally sensed the enemy from the sharp currents of air generated by the attack.
“Something’s coming at me?!”
“A human figure wouldn’t create such a small airflow, and a human’s speed wouldn’t be this fast.”
Although he couldn’t see, he could discern from the sound of air movement:
“No doubt about it…”
“This is a Stand attack!”
Instinctively, he tried to dodge to the side, but it was too late.
The shark-like Clash burst forth with a speed so fast it left an afterimage, leaping from the puddle on the deck and biting through Lee Sin’s throat.
The system interface in Lee Sin’s mind showed his life value dropping instantly from 100% to 88%.
He instinctively swung his fist, trying to punch away the bizarre Stand fiercely biting his throat.
Yet in the next moment…
The enemy Stand, which had been latched onto his throat, disappeared without a trace.
It wasn’t dodging or hiding—it simply vanished as if evaporating into thin air.
Lee Sin’s powerful punch ended up hitting nothing but empty air.
“Where is it?”
“Where did that thing go?”
He tensed up, straining to listen to his surroundings.
“Sir… what are you doing?”
Andrew asked nervously.
Ordinary people couldn’t see Stands but could witness the bizarre phenomena resulting from Stand attacks.
So, in poor Andrew’s eyes, Lee Sin seemed like a madman—first, inexplicably bending backward, then abruptly straightening up as if electrocuted, and finally engaging in a strange combat with “thin air.”
“Oh God!”
“Did I end up with a gun-wielding lunatic?”
Andrew was too scared to breathe, but Lee Sin had no time to care about his captive’s emotions.
He was desperately analyzing every bit of information that could be useful in the battle:
“No sound…”
“Before that Stand attacked, I didn’t hear any sound.”
“And when I swung back in counterattack, it vanished from my perception without a sound.”
“Is it a high-speed movement ability?”
“No!”
“Any movement would cause air displacement. Any air movement would make a faint sound.”
“At this close range, no sound should escape my ears.”
“So, if the Stand’s ability isn’t ‘sound isolation,’ then it must be—”
“Teleportation!”
Lee Sin quickly deduced and roughly pieced together the enemy’s Stand ability.
But the enemy, now invisible to his senses, didn’t give him any breathing room. Under Squalo’s control, Clash launched a second attack.
Squalo, exploiting Lee Sin’s blindness, directed Clash to reappear from a small puddle right in front of him.
At such a close distance, with no preemptive perception of the enemy’s movements, Lee Sin had no way to counter.
Clash leaped and bit into Lee Sin’s thigh with its sharp, cold shark teeth, effortlessly tearing through his flesh.
The wound instantly healed due to the digitization rules, with no blood seeping out.
However, the conspicuous health bar above Lee Sin’s head visibly decreased by over 10% from this attack.
Before Lee Sin could react, Clash, like a mischievous sprite, used its strange Stand ability to disappear once more.
“Gone again…”
“This guy is really tricky.”
Lee Sin sighed lightly:
Counting the initial throat attack, his life value had already dropped by a third.
Now, he was like a heavy, clumsy stone, unable to keep up with the enemy’s speed, see their actions, or hear their movements. All he could do was stand there and take the hits.
The situation seemed extremely dire, but…
After a light sigh, Lee Sin’s face revealed a smile.
It was a smile of enlightenment:
“Good… I’ve got a lead!”
“Judging from the air currents during its attacks: the first time it teleported, it appeared about ten centimeters behind me;”
“The second time, it attacked from my side, about a few dozen centimeters away.”
“Importantly, it never appears directly in the air, but always jumps from the deck to attack.”
“If the enemy’s ability were simple ‘teleportation,’ why not appear directly on me for a closer attack?”
“That would give me even less time to react.”
“Opting for less optimal attack positions and always appearing on the deck means…”
“The enemy’s teleportation ability has limitations!”
“It likely needs to leverage something on the deck, a specific terrain, to teleport.”
“And that something is…”
Lee Sin tentatively moved his foot, stepping on the spot where Clash had appeared.
Immediately, he discerned what he was stepping on:
“Water!”
“The enemy’s teleportation medium is water!”
“So, the Stand ability is….”
After taking two hits, Lee Sin finally overcame his visual disadvantage:
“Teleporting between bodies of water using ‘water’ as a medium!”
