Lee Sin's Bizzare Adventure - Chapter 15
After figuring out the enemy’s Stand ability, the situation quickly became clearer for Lee Sin:
“Teleportation doesn’t make a sound, but it definitely leaves traces.”
“Since it teleports via water, then…”
“Ripples in the water indicate movement!”
“I just need to listen for any disturbances in the water on the deck to locate the Stand’s position immediately!”
Lee Sin abandoned his previous method of judging the enemy’s actions based on air currents and shifted his focus to monitoring the subtle ripples in the surrounding water.
At that moment, he could hear everything clearly, from the surging waves of the sea to the shallow puddles on the deck.
Then, when Clash launched its third attack, Lee Sin heard the unusual ripples created during its teleportation.
“Found it!”
“Nine o’clock direction, less than half a meter away.”
“There’s movement in the water on that part of the deck!”
After taking two hits, Lee Sin finally took the initiative.
Just as Clash teleported into the water on the deck and leaped up to attack again, Lee Sin, as if foreseeing it, swung a punch toward the incoming Stand.
Lee Sin’s punch, filled with all his strength, collided head-on with Clash’s ferocious shark head in mid-air.
Bam!
With a dull thud, Clash was sent flying like a kite with a broken string.
“Ugh!”
On the speedboat fifty meters away, Squalo groaned in pain.
A Stand is the physical manifestation of a Stand user’s spiritual energy, and in a sense, it is the Stand user themselves.
Therefore, any damage inflicted on the Stand is reflected on the Stand user.
Just as now, when Clash’s shark head was punched hard by Lee Sin, Squalo’s handsome face instantly swelled up with a bizarre lump.
“Damn it!”
“Teleportation doesn’t make a sound; how did he find Clash’s location?”
“Could it be… Could this blind man have figured out my Stand ability in just a few seconds?!”
Covering his swollen face, Squalo’s expression became serious:
“No wonder the boss specifically wanted this man killed…”
“It seems I underestimated him.”
Despite suffering a minor setback, Squalo remained composed.
That previous attempt at “silent killing” was just a tactic he designed on a whim, intending to exploit Lee Sin’s blindness for an easy and effortless victory.
However, silent assassination wasn’t the usual combat style for Squalo and his Stand, Clash.
Their true specialty was—direct combat!
“Go, Clash!”
“Full-speed assault!”
Under Squalo’s command, Clash’s combat mode underwent a 180-degree transformation:
It no longer silently lurked or launched sneak attacks. Instead, it began moving aggressively and unpredictably around Lee Sin.
The yacht Lee Sin was on was a small one, with a low deck covered in seawater splashed up by the waves.
Those puddles of water, scattered all over the deck and surrounding Lee Sin, now served as teleportation pads for Clash.
It burst forth with extreme speed, teleporting back and forth through those “portals” formed by the puddles.
“So fast…”
“Its speed is too fast!”
“One moment it’s in front of me, the next it’s behind me.”
“Even if I can pinpoint its location, I can’t keep up with its movements!”
Facing this situation, Lee Sin felt overwhelmed:
The enemy’s “teleport” had no cooldown!
At this moment, he could only watch as the enemy repeatedly “flash” around him, unable to decide where to strike.
Clash’s teleportation became faster and more frequent.
As one ripple reached Lee Sin’s ears, another had already appeared in a completely different spot.
In this way, in Lee Sin’s perception, Clash seemed to have countless clones, appearing in multiple locations simultaneously.
Finally, as Lee Sin’s head spun from Clash’s infinite “flashing,” Clash made its move.
It leaped out of a puddle, baring its formidable shark teeth once more.
As a remote-controlled Stand with A-rank speed and durability but only D-rank power (slightly weaker than a human), Clash’s attack capability wasn’t strong.
However, it’s important to note that:
Stand stats are just references and don’t fully represent a Stand’s true combat ability.
Clash’s appearance was that of a shark, and its true attack power, much like a real shark, was heavily dependent on its size—the larger the size, the greater the destructive power.
Its size would adapt and change according to the volume of water in the puddle it teleported from, the “portal” size.
In a small teacup, it would be a few centimeters long “goldfish.”
In a basin, it would turn into a ten-centimeter “carp.”
And now, the diameter of this puddle was nearly a meter, making Clash, emerging from it, almost half a meter long!
From afar, it truly looked like a shark leaping out of the sea, swift, fierce, and menacing.
Lee Sin seemed “terrified.”
He appeared so scared of Clash’s bite that he fell onto the deck.
Then, like a monkey with its tail on fire, he began rolling around the deck in a ridiculous and undignified manner.
“Hahaha…”
“Is this all you’ve got, blind man?”
“Running around like a headless chicken won’t save you from Clash’s relentless pursuit!”
Squalo, sharing Clash’s vision, could control everything from fifty meters away.
Seeing Lee Sin rolling around so pathetically, he quickly directed Clash to teleport through the puddles on the deck.
The “shark” kept chasing Lee Sin, never letting up.
Then…
Squalo noticed something was off:
During this “easy prey” phase, the puddles on the deck, which served as Clash’s teleportation pads, had mostly disappeared within seconds.
Clash’s teleportation “portals” were significantly reduced, no longer allowing it to disrupt Lee Sin’s perception with rapid teleports.
“Damn!”
Squalo quickly realized:
“That blind man isn’t running…”
“He’s deliberately rolling around, using his clothes as a mop to soak up the water on the deck!”
“This…”
His expression contorted into a spasm of laughter:
“How stupid can you be?!”
“Hahaha…”
“Did you misunderstand my ability because I took it easy at first?”
“Removing puddles to limit teleportation is a logical move, but…”
Squalo laughed so hard he could barely stand up straight:
“We’re in the middle of the sea!”
