Lee Sin's Bizzare Adventure - Chapter 18
“Bastard!”
Andrew’s tearful, enraged shout suddenly rang out behind Lee Sin: “What have you done!”
Watching the fire quickly spread toward the boat, threatening to ignite the fuel tank, Andrew finally overcame his fear of the “bald lunatic”:
“Didn’t I tell you not to smoke on the boat!”
“This boat… it’s going to explode because of you!”
“I know.”
“The boat is about to explode.”
Lee Sin shrugged, his expression unchanged: “So…”
“So?” Andrew had a very bad feeling.
“Take care, Captain, see you later!”
With those words, Lee Sin turned and leaped into the sea.
The flames rapidly followed the trail of leaked gasoline, reaching the yacht’s fuel tank.
The large amount of gasoline stored in the fuel tank exploded instantly, a thunderous roar echoing in all directions.
The steel yacht shattered like fragile paper in the explosion’s blast, flaming fragments shooting out like a fiery meteor shower, briefly and brilliantly illuminating the sea before descending.
By this time, Lee Sin had already escaped underwater, resurfacing in a spot free from the flaming oil.
The flames on the sea surface grew fiercer, the yacht breaking into two pieces and slowly sinking into the ocean.
Watching the apocalyptic scene, Lee Sin smiled:
“Good, the plan worked.”
“But I haven’t received the experience points yet, which means that guy isn’t dead.”
He turned his head toward the heavily burned, incapacitated Squalo slumped in the speedboat’s driver’s seat:
“Well then…”
“Let me give him a little help.”
With that thought, Lee Sin quickly swam towards the barely-alive Squalo.
Meanwhile, the voice of Andrew, who was on the verge of sinking with the yacht, came crying out in desperation:
“Help, help me!”
Andrew clung to the broken rail of the yacht, his eyes filled with terror and hopelessness.
Surrounded by flaming oil and with the yacht about to sink, he had no way to escape or hide. He could only struggle, moving his fat body painfully, retreating to the bow of the boat with no way out, driven by the heat and flames.
“Oh…”
“Still alive, huh.”
Lee Sin’s expression was indifferent—
He had never considered sparing Andrew’s life from the start.
For one, the speed of the ship catching fire left him no time to go back and save Andrew.
But more importantly…
He never saw Andrew as a “person.”
Ever since awakening his digitalized abilities and viewing himself as a game player, all the people in this world, whether it was Amor, Diavolo, or now Andrew and Squalo, were not equal to him in status; they were…
NPCs.
NPCs weren’t real people, so he felt no hesitation in killing them.
Just as a person doesn’t count the pieces of bread they eat, a game player doesn’t remember how many minions they’ve killed.
“You’re on your own.”
“I need to finish him off for the rewards.”
Lee Sin ignored Andrew’s desperate cries and continued towards Squalo’s location.
But Andrew’s heart-wrenching cries still echoed across the sea:
“Save me, please… save me!”
“I want to go home…”
“God… no, Mom, I want to go home…”
This middle-aged man in his forties pathetically called out for his mother.
With the flames and increasing heat closing in, Lee Sin swam further away, and Andrew’s cries grew weaker.
Eventually, he stopped crying out in despair.
The world fell silent, only the roaring heat of the flames disturbing the sea’s tranquility.
“Damn…”
A hint of disturbance appeared on Lee Sin’s calm face:
“Why does he have to be so noisy… it’s driving me nuts!”
“Fatso, I’ll come back to shut you up!”
He suddenly stopped moving away and began to swim back towards the sinking yacht.
At this moment, the yacht was already surrounded by flames.
Lee Sin had no choice but to rely on his pain-immune digitalized body to force a path through the sea of fire.
The flames scorched his body, causing his post-battle health to plummet rapidly.
Finally, with his health dropping to just 5%, Lee Sin reached the yacht through the flames, pulling the desperate Andrew to safety.
“Thank you…”
“Thank you, Mr. Bald!”
Andrew clung to Lee Sin’s leg, babbling incoherently in tears.
Though he knew his ordeal was entirely Lee Sin’s fault, he also understood that Lee Sin had no obligation to risk his life to save him.
For a good person, this wasn’t just a good deed; it was about holding Lee Sin accountable for endangering lives.
However, considering Lee Sin’s identity as a “bald gangster,” this act was practically a “saintly” gesture.
So, like a Stockholm syndrome victim, Andrew saw Lee Sin as his savior, an honorable gangster hero.
He thanked Lee Sin from the bottom of his heart, but Lee Sin responded coldly:
“Don’t waste time!”
“This boat is sinking. There’s another speedboat over there, follow me and swim over.”
“Yes, yes!”
Grateful and tearful, Andrew nodded, obediently following Lee Sin towards Squalo’s speedboat.
As they swam, Andrew suddenly paused, staring at Lee Sin’s back:
“Huh?”
“Mr. Bald… why is there a… green frame floating over your head?”
…………………………………………..
Squalo’s speedboat wasn’t far, and Lee Sin and Andrew quickly swam the short distance.
Squalo still hadn’t regained consciousness from his severe injuries.
His body was covered in indistinguishable black and red burns, lying unconscious on the speedboat like a charred corpse.
“Still unconscious?”
Lee Sin cautiously stopped about ten meters away from the speedboat.
After a brief observation, he turned to Andrew and instructed:
“Stay here, don’t move. I’ll check if it’s safe and call you over.”
Andrew nodded obediently, and Lee Sin swam towards the speedboat.
But at that moment…
The severely burned and seemingly dead Squalo suddenly opened his scorched eyelids.
His eyes were filled with pain, along with a fiery rage and icy cold killing intent:
“Lee Sin, you’re finally here…”
Squalo croaked with his burnt throat:
“You shouldn’t have given me a chance.”
“If you’d come to kill me directly, I wouldn’t have had a chance to fight back.”
“But you went back to save that useless fatso, giving me time to recover my spirit and exhausting your own ‘life’ in the fire.”
He glanced at the red health bar above Lee Sin’s head, which was less than 10%, and struggled to smile triumphantly:
“Because of your foolish mercy, in the end… I win!”
“Go!”
Squalo, enduring the intense pain of his burns, summoned the last of his mental energy:
“This is my final Stand—’Clash’!”
The giant shark reappeared!
Its massive twenty-meter body emerged on the sea surface, sending white waves crashing into the sky.
In the next second, this mountainous body would crush down on Lee Sin.
In this overwhelming attack, he had nowhere to run.
Sonic Wave needed to hit the target first to enable the high-speed movement of Resonating Strike, and it was already too late to use it now.
“I win, I’ve won.”
“I can still make it to lunch with Dicheanno!”
Squalo’s eyes widened, filled with an indescribable light.
But at that moment…
Lee Sin’s face once again displayed that infuriatingly calm expression:
“Sorry.”
“I need to correct you. My foolish mercy wasn’t entirely without reward.”
“At least…”
“That useless fatso you mentioned is now my ‘teammate.'”
With those words, his figure suddenly turned into a streak of lightning, swiftly moving out of “Clash’s” attack range towards Andrew:
“Safeguard!”
