Lee Sin's Bizzare Adventure - Chapter 19
“Clash” missed.
The final Stand attack, containing all of Squalo’s remaining spirit energy and hope, missed its mark.
Utilizing the Safeguard skill, Lee Sin instantly dashed to Andrew’s side, also applying a damage-absorbing shield.
White spray surged high, and heavy rain poured down.
In this torrential rain, the massive form of “Clash” quickly dissipated into nothingness.
“Sonic Wave!”
Lee Sin didn’t hesitate.
After avoiding the Stand attack by using Safeguard to dash to Andrew, he immediately turned and fired a Sonic Wave at Squalo’s body.
Squalo, already weakened to the extreme, couldn’t command his Stand to block the Sonic Wave mark.
Soon, his chest bore the indelible white mark.
At the same time, the dissolution of “Clash” didn’t make Lee Sin drop his guard.
The next moment, he mercilessly utilized the Sonic Wave’s mark to charge at the still-breathing Squalo on the speedboat:
“Resonating Strike!”
Under the heavy strike of Resonating Strike, Squalo coughed up a mouthful of blood.
He collapsed powerlessly at Lee Sin’s feet, with only a faint trace of life left in his eyes.
“Oh… still alive?”
“Seems Stand users are quite resilient.”
Lee Sin casually remarked, then leaned down and spoke to the barely alive Squalo:
“So, do you want to live?”
“If you want to live, just exchange information.”
“You were sent by Diavolo to hunt me, right? Who are your other companions, and what are their Stand abilities?”
Lee Sin, the headhunter, would never miss an opportunity for a kill. His offer was insincere.
But if possible, he still wanted to trick the enemy and see if he could get any useful information.
“Dicheanno.”
Squalo muttered a name.
However, he wasn’t answering Lee Sin’s question but muttering to himself:
“Dicheanno…”
“Without me as your partner, your useless Stand ability will struggle, huh?”
“Seriously… we had planned to have lunch together.”
“Every meal ends in an argument, but this time I’ll listen to you… keep it simple… order a Margherita pizza.”
Squalo mumbled, the light in his eyes gradually fading.
“Margherita pizza?”
Lee Sin didn’t understand this overly strange last word, so he didn’t waste any more time:
“Alright, forget it. Just die.”
He reached out and gave Squalo a little “help.”
The experience bar on the system interface surged.
“All done!”
Lee Sin turned back and waved at Andrew, still floating on the sea: “It’s safe now, come on board!”
“Yes, yes…”
Andrew nodded dumbly.
Having witnessed Lee Sin’s miraculous abilities of walking through fire, glowing hands, and high-speed movement on water, he finally realized Lee Sin wasn’t just an ordinary bald gangster but one with superpowers.
Following Lee Sin’s instructions, Andrew swam over and climbed up the speedboat’s side.
As he climbed, he saw a face that would haunt him—
It was Squalo.
His black-and-red scorched skin was a horrific mess, his lifeless eyes shining like a dead fish, making for a terrifying sight.
“A d-dead man?”
Seeing such a horrifying scene, Andrew instinctively stopped his ascent.
“Don’t be afraid.”
Lee Sin smiled reassuringly: “I’ll throw him into the sea to feed the fish right away.”
“Hey…”
“That makes it even scarier.”
Andrew muttered silently but obediently climbed up.
“You sit in the driver’s seat and steer us away.”
“Given the situation now, it seems you might need to give me a lift for a while.”
Lee Sin casually instructed Andrew to start the speedboat, then lifted Squalo’s corpse from the driver’s seat with one hand.
However, just as he was about to throw the charred, unrecognizable corpse into the sea with a look of disdain…
A phone on the speedboat started ringing.
It was Squalo’s phone, someone was calling him.
“Oh?”
Lee Sin paused his action, curiously picking up the phone.
Exiting his digitalized mode, he glanced at the caller ID showing the name:
“Dicheanno?”
“The partner he just mentioned?”
After a brief hesitation, Lee Sin answered the call.
The call connected, and the man named Dicheanno impatiently asked:
“Hello, hello?”
“Squalo, have you finished your job over there?”
“If so, hurry back; don’t forget we have lunch planned for noon!”
“I’m telling you, Squalo…”
“This time, don’t order that awful squid ink pasta; that black stuff really kills the appetite!”
He rambled on and on, but received no response.
“Hello, hello… Squalo, why aren’t you speaking?”
“Are you playing dead?”
“……”
The other side went silent, then spoke again, his voice now distorted with emotion:
“Damn…”
“Even if you’re my partner, I can’t tolerate such a nasty joke…”
“Squalo, speak up…”
“What are we having for lunch?!”
“Sorry, he’s not available to take the call right now.”
After a long silence, Lee Sin finally responded.
“You!”
The man named Dicheanno exploded: “You… you killed Squalo?!”
“Hey, hey…”
Lee Sin sighed nonchalantly:
“Why do I sound like the bad guy here.”
“If you people insist on chasing me like mad dogs, you must be prepared to be beaten to death with a stick!”
“Don’t bother threatening me; let me say this instead:”
“Tell your boss—”
“I hope when he’s queuing for a house in hell in a few days, he’ll remember that from the moment he pissed me off this morning, his grandson has been busy submitting complaints to the higher-ups.”
“……”
Dicheanno fell silent again.
But it wasn’t because he was stunned by Lee Sin’s empty threats.
In that deathly silence, Lee Sin seemed to hear a faint, sorrowful whimper.
It sounded like a dog standing stubbornly in the middle of a busy road, trying to nuzzle its dead companion, finally realizing it would never wake up.
“……”
Lee Sin unconsciously toned down his mocking:
“Oh, right…”
“That guy, Squalo, said today you’d be having Margherita pizza.”
With that, he hung up the phone.
“Let’s go.”
Lee Sin tossed Squalo’s phone into the sea and slowly sat back down: “Start the boat, let’s get out of here.”
“Okay.”
Andrew nodded and smoothly started the speedboat.
As the speedboat started moving, Andrew asked:
“Sir, where are we headed?”
“Where? That…”
Lee Sin hesitated.
After a brief thought, he suddenly asked Andrew: “How far is it to Naples from here?”
“Naples?”
Andrew was taken aback: “That’s on the other side of the coast!”
“From here, even with a speedboat, it would take at least six to seven hours to reach Naples port.”
“What if more of those strange people come after you?”
For his own safety, Andrew suggested:
“Why not let me take you back to the island and you can fly there?”
“Oh.”
“Your suggestion is good, but…”
Lee Sin didn’t even look up: “Listen to me, we’re going to Naples.”
“……”
Andrew’s face changed several times but ultimately complied with Lee Sin’s order.
He busied himself steering the speedboat but couldn’t help glancing back at Squalo’s ghastly corpse:
“Uh, sir?”
“Aren’t you going to toss this body overboard?”
“No.”
“Let’s leave him intact… it’s not taking up any space.”
Lee Sin replied expressionlessly.
