Lee Sin's Bizzare Adventure - Chapter 28
“Muda! Muda! Muda! Muda!”
The Golden Experience’s powerful war cry echoed through the bus, which had almost become a hellish landscape of flesh and blood.
This radiant Stand, emanating a faint golden light, had been “Muda-ing” intermittently for almost half a minute under Giorno’s command.
Whenever the flesh blob showed any sign of shifting its target to attack ordinary people, Golden Experience would use its miraculous ability to imbue lifeless objects with life, transforming them into bait that could attract the flesh blob’s attention.
Finally, under Giorno’s strenuous protection and Lee Sin’s harsh urging, the terrified civilians managed to escape, some with injuries.
They fled far enough, out of the range of the flesh blob’s attacks.
Even without Giorno creating more swift bait, the grotesque flesh blob did not turn back to chase his classmates.
However…
Lee Sin and Giorno remained in place, in a realm almost entirely covered by the flesh blob’s tumors and tendrils.
And, whether fortunately or unfortunately, this deserted road had no other pedestrians or vehicles passing by.
They had drawn the monster’s aggro for the students, but now, there was no one to draw aggro for them.
“Huff… huff…
“Don’t move anymore, Golden Experience.”
Giorno panted heavily, commanding his Stand to halt, sweat pouring down his forehead.
The enormous strain of overusing his Stand had drained him, and only his strong will kept him from collapsing.
Meanwhile, the flesh blob, now as large as a car, had lost its target.
Instinctively, it perched on the bus it had half-devoured, slowly and unconsciously extending its writhing flesh blanket, continuously corroding everything around it.
“Hey…”
“Bald guy.”
Giorno, trying to stay still and catching his breath, said:
“Have you figured out a way to escape?”
“At this rate, even if we stand still like statues, we’ll eventually be engulfed by that monster’s ever-expanding body.”
“A way to escape?”
Lee Sin, maintaining his comical “red light, green light” pose, responded:
“Of course.”
“Otherwise, why would I stay here, waiting to die with you?”
He gave Giorno a confident look and then asked:
“Kid, can you control the animals you create?”
“Well…”
Giorno, trying to stay calm in the face of the slowly approaching flesh blob, answered:
“The animals I create have their own consciousness, they’re real life forms.”
“Controlling them at will is impossible. The most I can do is give them a simple command.”
“That’s enough.”
Lee Sin’s expression relaxed.
Even though the disgusting giant flesh blob was closing in on him, his voice remained calm:
“Then, please create another bird.”
“Not a swift this time, but a bird that takes off slowly, slower than a human’s maximum running speed.”
“After creating it, just command it to fly straight up.”
“Slower than a human’s maximum running speed?”
Giorno felt puzzled but didn’t ask further.
He knew he had to trust the mysterious bald man: “Alright, should I start now?”
“Wait.”
Lee Sin stopped Giorno’s eager movement:
“Wait until I say ‘go’ before you act.”
He furrowed his brow slightly, concentrating on the sounds around him.
“What’s this…”
Giorno didn’t know what Lee Sin was listening to or what he was waiting for.
All he knew was that, based on the flesh blob’s slow but steady advance, he had at most ten seconds left.
In ten seconds, he and Lee Sin would be engulfed in the fleshy mire, never to escape.
10… 9… 8…
The flesh blob was getting closer and closer, less than a meter away.
7… 6… 5…
Lee Sin still hadn’t said “go,” but the blob’s tendrils were already at Giorno’s feet.
The near sound of writhing flesh, the nauseating stench, was enough to turn any brave warrior into a fleeing coward.
4… 3… 2…
Lee Sin remained silent.
The tendrils were touching Giorno’s shoes.
“What is he waiting for?!”
Giorno couldn’t help but question inwardly.
For a moment, he even wondered if Lee Sin had no plan and was just giving him false hope to wait for death.
But, faced with the imminent death, he chose to believe in Lee Sin.
1…
The flesh touching Giorno’s body stirred, awakened by the scent of flesh.
It writhed rapidly, lunging at Giorno’s delicious body like a ravenous wolf.
At this moment, Lee Sin finally shouted:
“Go!”
“Golden Experience!”
Giorno, prepared, summoned his Stand, and the agile Golden Experience unleashed a flurry of punches:
“Muda! Muda! Muda!”
Its golden fists, imbued with powerful life energy, transformed a nearby seat into a… plump pigeon.
Yes.
To meet Lee Sin’s “slow takeoff” request, Giorno had even added a bit of weight to the pigeon.
“Coo, coo!”
The fat pigeon, freshly created, cooed and began to fly up, feeling the invisible aura of the giant flesh blob.
Though slower, it was still faster than the stationary Giorno.
So, the mindless flesh blob abandoned Giorno and turned to chase the newly airborne pigeon.
“Resonating Strike!”
At this moment, Lee Sin threw a dazzling light orb, marking the pigeon with a white locator.
“Coo, coo, coo!”
The pigeon, pained by the strike, flew faster and harder.
The flesh blob recoiled its strange, resilient body, preparing to leap as it had done with the swifts.
But Lee Sin interrupted it:
“Leave the pigeon alone, come at me!”
With a shout, he unleashed his strength, sprinting down the empty road.
The flesh blob, a mindless creature of instinct, was like a monkey teased by a few bananas. It abandoned the pigeon, turning to chase the faster Lee Sin.
With its trait of “always being faster than its target,” the giant flesh blob, as big as a car, suddenly moved at a speed terrifyingly faster than Lee Sin.
“Of course…”
“He’s using himself as bait to let the pigeon reach the sky.”
Giorno understood Lee Sin’s plan.
Seeing Lee Sin nearly caught and devoured by the grotesque flesh blob, his mind calmed.
“If an ordinary person fled recklessly like this, they’d be caught in seconds.”
“But since he dares to use himself as bait, he must have a way to protect himself.”
Giorno’s guess was correct.
The flesh blob, which would maim or kill an ordinary person, couldn’t devour Lee Sin. In fact, it couldn’t even take a bite of him.
It could only wrap around Lee Sin, continuously draining his health.
“Huh?”
Only then did Giorno notice something unusual:
“Since when did the bald man have a green bar on his head?”
