Lee Sin's Bizzare Adventure - Chapter 5
Amor carefully retreated to the doorway, keeping a close watch on Lee Sin’s movements.
By now, Lee Sin had used his “Resonating Strike” to rush into the group, instantly killing one of the black-clad subordinates and entangling the other three, preventing them from breaking free.
Lee Sin’s form was tightly entwined with the three black-clad men, leaving Amor unable to find an opportunity to shoot.
Guns were ineffective; it came down to a fistfight.
Lee Sin seized this rare chance, using his superior physical abilities to combat the three black-clad men in close combat.
Although these three didn’t have Lee Sin’s endurance and pain tolerance, they were still strong and tall.
In the ensuing melee, it took several exchanges before they began to show signs of defeat.
During this crucial time, Amor chose neither to flee nor to rush in for assistance.
He stood quietly outside the door, observing and gathering information on Lee Sin.
At this moment, Lee Sin closed his already blind eyes to concentrate and sense the movements of the three men around him.
One of the black-clad men threw a punch from behind, but Lee Sin dodged it before it even landed.
Amor immediately drew a conclusion:
“This bald guy is indeed blind.”
“But his hearing is exceptionally sharp, sharp enough to predict his opponent’s moves.”
Next, the three black-clad men attacked Lee Sin simultaneously, their assault too dense to dodge.
After a quick judgment, Lee Sin dodged the punch aimed at his head, taking the kicks to his abdomen and legs.
Then, without any hindrance, he counterattacked, breaking one of the men’s ribs with a punch.
“This bald guy chose to avoid the head attack first, which means…”
“He has ‘vital spots’.”
Amor focused on the health bar above Lee Sin’s head:
“Attacking his brain, throat, or heart will surely cause him more damage.”
By now, only two injured black-clad men were left fighting.
They had lost their advantage in close combat and were struggling to even delay Lee Sin.
One of the black-clad men, realizing their disadvantage, stepped back and drew his gun, aiming to shoot Lee Sin in the head.
But Lee Sin had already heard everything.
As the man raised his gun, Lee Sin threw another “Sonic Wave,” repeating the move and taking another life.
At this point, the defense line formed by the four black-clad men was on the brink of collapse.
Yet Amor’s murky blue eyes showed no panic:
“Good.”
“It seems this fast, nearly invisible dash ability can’t be used consecutively.”
“Otherwise, he would have killed them all using this ability instead of resorting to hand-to-hand combat.”
“So…”
While Lee Sin was using “Resonating Strike” to kill his subordinates, Amor calmly checked his watch:
“From the last time he used this ‘marking light sphere’, the time interval is about…”
“8 seconds.”
“The exact interval might be shorter, but not by much.”
By now, the last black-clad man had fallen victim to Lee Sin, collapsing to the ground.
Amor took the opportunity to aim at Lee Sin, but Lee Sin, as if he had eyes on the back of his head, dodged to the side, evading the shot.
“This narrow space doesn’t allow for shooting distance,
and the lack of auditory interference benefits this bald guy too much.”
“We need to change the battlefield.”
After some testing, Amor decisively chose to run.
With his “Sonic Wave” skill cooling down and an incapacitated black-clad man still in play, Lee Sin couldn’t catch up.
Amor fled from the third floor to the first and easily blended into the crowded street.
The pedestrians on the street, breathing, walking, and talking, made all sorts of noises.
They hadn’t heard the muffled gunshots and didn’t know about the bloody events in the nearby hotel.
Even Lee Sin, with his heightened senses, couldn’t pinpoint his target amidst the crowd in a short time.
Having escaped here, Amor was relatively safe.
However, instead of fleeing to a truly safe place, he resolutely stayed near the hotel entrance, grabbing a passerby:
“Sir.”
Amor discreetly pressed his gun against the unfortunate passerby’s abdomen, quietly threatening:
“If you don’t want to die, do as I say.”
……………………………………………………………
Upstairs, Lee Sin had defeated the fourth black-clad man.
“Did he escape?”
He heard the creaking of the old wooden stairs, mentally picturing Amor fleeing downstairs.
“Should I let him go?”
“No…”
Lee Sin immediately dismissed this thought:
If Amor returned alive, Lee Sin’s appearance, abilities, and fighting style would be completely exposed to the terrifying organization.
Lee Sin enjoyed seeking thrills and a “high-difficulty” quality life.
But in a level 1, “all-black map,” with no information on the enemy, letting Amor go wasn’t seeking thrills; it was courting death.
“I must ‘keep’ him!”
Lee Sin made a bloodthirsty decision, yet his heart remained calm.
The data mode not only gave him an unbreakable body and strange skills but also changed his mindset:
Just as a game player wouldn’t show mercy to NPCs, in data mode, Lee Sin didn’t fear and lost his respect for life.
His mind was filled with the focus, calmness, excitement, and the peculiar pleasure born from tension and thrill.
“This game, I must win.”
Even knowing that the stakes were life and death, Lee Sin couldn’t help but get involved.
So, he followed Amor’s fleeing steps downstairs, out the door, and into the crowded street.
By then, Amor had already blended into the crowd.
Using the dense flow of people and the chaotic noise as cover, he hid perfectly.
“Where?”
“Where is he?”
Lee Sin concentrated, trying to sense Amor’s presence.
But he couldn’t pinpoint Amor within a few seconds with so many people and so much noise.
“Being blind is such a hassle… Should I exit data mode?”
Lee Sin pondered:
Like logging in and out of a game, his data mode could be turned on and off at will.
If he chose to turn it off, he could revert to his normal human body and use his vision to observe the battlefield.
After a brief consideration, Lee Sin quickly rejected the idea:
“No, I can’t exit.”
“That guy’s marksmanship is precise. If I revert to my normal body, he could blow my brains out with one shot.”
“So… what should I do?”
Just then…
Before Lee Sin could come up with a way to find Amor, Amor’s gun fired first:
Bang, bang, bang!
Three muffled gunshots suddenly erupted about five meters to Lee Sin’s side.
He had been listening intently to his surroundings, alert for Amor’s ambush.
So, Lee Sin heard the faint click of the gun’s mechanism and predicted the direction and timing of the shots.
Amor seemed very nervous.
Lee Sin could hear his chaotic breathing, rapid heartbeat, and the trembling of his arm holding the gun.
This trembling affected his aim.
Lee Sin barely had to dodge. Of the three shots, only one narrowly grazed his shoulder.
The other two missed, one hitting the ground, the other striking a passerby.
“Ah!”
“Shots fired! Someone’s been shot!”
A silencer isn’t a mute button; shots fired close by could still be heard.
Moreover, a passerby had been shot and fell into a pool of blood.
The street erupted in a cacophony of screams.
Some pedestrians trembled in place, others fled in panic.
The surrounding noise became more chaotic, but Lee Sin had already pinpointed the attacker’s position through the gunshots:
“Found you.”
Lee Sin clenched his fist, his hand glowing with a bright white light.
In the next second, the Sonic Wave would shoot from his fist, marking the attacker for death.
But at that moment…
Lee Sin suddenly turned 45 degrees, facing away from the shooter and said:
“You think I would do that?”
“Amor.”
He adapted to the “explanation time stop” ability:
“Uncle, you’re smart, using my blindness against me.”
“My senses are sharp, and my body doesn’t get injured.”
“If you shot at me directly, I’d either dodge or counterattack with Sonic Wave.”
“So, you found a random passerby, threatening him to shoot at me when I appeared.”
“And you stood in a completely different direction, using the hostage to draw my attention while you waited for me to mistake the shooter for you.”
“If I took the bait and used my ability on the shooter…”
“You’d seize the opportunity when my skills were on cooldown, and I was recovering, to shoot me down.”
“Am I right?”
“You…”
Seeing Lee Sin turn to “look” at him, Amor’s breathing quickened:
“Impossible!”
“Could it be… you can see?”
“No, I can’t see.”
Lee Sin answered seriously:
“I found you because you overlooked too many things:”
“First, I know you have two guns.”
“Second, in the room, you easily shot my knees. After I displayed my abilities, your breathing didn’t become overly erratic from shock.”
“So, your marksmanship couldn’t be as bad as just now.”
“You also wouldn’t be as nervous as the coerced passerby, with rapid breathing and heartbeat.”
“And most importantly:”
“When the gun fired, everyone screamed and fled.”
“Except you, standing in a different direction, aiming your gun calmly!”
“So…”
Lee Sin aimed his glowing fist at Amor, saying:
“Amor, I see you!”
