Marvel Anime Extraction - Chapter 113
That is unless the Space Gem itself had no effect on Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
But Fanny felt that that was unlikely to be the case. Even if the current Blue-Eyes White Dragon could not absorb that power, it would probably be able to after a few evolutions.
Getting his hand on the Tesseract would be the hard part.
The Tesseract was different from the ‘obelisk.’ The ‘obelisk,’ the first code 084 in SHIELD’s database, was useless without knowledge of its proper use and activation ritual. That was why Nick Fury didn’t hesitate too much to use it as collateral in a deal with Fanny.
But Tesseract was much more important than that. Even ignoring the energy weapons that Hydra developed a long time ago, the incident with Captain Marvel alone should be enough to make him realize its importance.
Taking the entire thing away from SHIELD would be impossible. Nick Fury would never agree to that. But perhaps he would cooperate for simple tests.
Fanny thought hard to find something that he could use to bargain with the black baldie.
The Blue-Eyes White Dragon snuggled against him, rubbing its huge head like a pet, interrupting his thought.
Fanny couldn’t help but smile at the cuteness of the dragon. He patted it and suddenly thought of giving it a name, but considering that the dragon still lacked an independent personality, he decided to postpone it until it evolved.
Fanny then proceeded to test the speed and strength of Blue-Eyes White Dragon. It was still not very strong in its current state; it was yet to be worthy of the description from the system.
The sharp claws and wing tips were pretty impressive, but its strength and speed were inferior to Fanny’s.
Fanny didn’t have the heart to rigorously test the dragon’s defense, but at the very least, those hard silver scales would be more than enough to defend against bullets.
The dragon didn’t seem to have special abilities like dragon breath. Fanny had no way of knowing whether it would evolve such an ability.
Fanny then tried to reverse the summon. The Blue-Eyes White Dragon was enveloped by a bright burst of light, which gradually shrank and gathered into the shape of a card. The card flew back in front of Fanny.
Fanny looked happily at the card in his hand. He then released the skill and let the card gradually disappear into the air.
Fanny still hadn’t tested many aspects of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon. For example, the duration of its summon, how far it could roam away from him, whether others could summon it, and so on.
These were not easy tests to perform. Fanny would have to wait for a better time.
Fanny returned home in a good mood. He was satisfied with the sixth extraction, despite it not being a direct increase in his strength. The Blue-Eyes White Dragon was currently too weak, and Fanny could already fly with Sky Dance, so he didn’t need Blue-Eyes White Dragon for that, either.
However, things would change once Blue-Eyes White Dragon evolves. The system description boasted that it had immeasurable destructive power, and Fanny had no reason to doubt the system.
Fanny suddenly felt a little worried when he thought about the dragon’s evolution.
It was Nick Fury’s job to be suspicious of everything and everyone, even if they were telling the truth. Telling the bald director about feeding the Tesseract energy to the dragon would just fill Nick Fury with questions. Will the dragon spit the cube back out? Or will it damage or even destroy the cube?
Fanny scratched his hair in exasperation.
Would he need to try using ‘Ars Magna’ on Nick Fury?!
Fanny didn’t want to do that before knowing for sure about SHIELD’s trump cards. If he was discovered to be meddling with the director, his relationship with them would quickly break down.
…
The arrival of Blue-Eyes White Dragon added another item to Fanny’s daily routine.
Every day, he had to take time to raise his gluttonous pet. Fanny had thought that Hulk’s appetite was astonishing, but it was nothing compared to the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
“Still not full?”
Fanny looked at the stomach of Blue-Eyes White Dragon. It hadn’t changed at all. If this skill had been extracted in his third extraction instead of ‘Demon Armor Incursio,’ both the dragon and his chicken summoning would probably be invincible by now.
Fanny continuously summoned the ‘Sumire Karaage Rolls’ for two whole hours, all going to the dragon’s stomach.
After another half an hour, the dragon finally roared in satisfaction, as if saying thank you for the food.
Fanny suddenly felt that the ‘Sumire Karaage Rolls’ skill might evolve a lot sooner than Blue-Eyes White Dragon, but it didn’t really matter which one evolved first.
Fanny returned Blue-Eyes White Dragon to the card form after he finished feeding it. There was a second star on the card. He sighed silently. The dragon might require a lot more effort to evolve than he had anticipated.
A week quickly passed. Fanny had fed fried chicken to the dragon by the shovels every day, but the evolution barely progressed. Fanny had tried feeding it other things, such as meat, vegetables, poultry, and so on, but after considering the cost and benefit, he concluded that he would be better off using the ‘Sumire Karaage Rolls’ skill.
Summoning fried chicken out of thin air cost nothing: it conversely increased his experience. He could kill two birds with one stone.
Fortunately, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon was a summoning card skill. Feeding it would let it evolve, but not feeding it or feeding the same thing continuously wouldn’t deteriorate its health.
Fanny still continued thinking about the Tesseract. He didn’t know whether ‘Sumire Karaage Rolls’ would be enough to feed the dragon’s evolution until the end, after all.
“Fanny, the fridge is almost empty. Let’s go shopping!” Skye shouted from the kitchen, interrupting Fanny’s thought.
“Already? When was the last time?” He asked in surprise at Skye, who walked out of the kitchen with a guilty expression, “Didn’t you go shopping just a few days ago?”
“I didn’t buy enough last time!”
Skye avoided Fanny’s eyes. She knew she had eaten a little too much recently, but she just couldn’t stop herself, especially when she thought she wouldn’t get fat.
Sigh!
Fanny sighed, and then he noticed that Skye’s figure was unchanged despite all that. He still had the problem with the gluttonous Blue-Eyes White Dragon, and now there was another glutton to take care of.
Then again, with the sixth extraction just finished, Fanny would have some time before the seventh extraction rolled around. He needed to rest; the rush for experience a while back had left him completely exhausted.
Time passed quietly. Fanny still had no way to convince Nick Fury to let him access the Tesseract even as the end of October drew close.
After some thought, he decided to try using the danger of the Space Stone to scare Nick Fury into asking him for help. He could then fish in troubled water and use the opportunity to feed the power of the Space Stone to Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
For the first time since their meeting, Fanny took the initiative to contact Nick Fury in early November.
